I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 954, Two Forms

*An an an…* The Flying Rain Beast’s ethereal calls continuously echoed through the air. Co Co was seated upon it.

After receiving Su Bai’s letter, Co Co promptly delegated Sea Fish Tribe matters to Qiong Gu, immediately departing for the Flame Dragon Tribe herself.

The Sea Fish Tribe currently had few pressing matters requiring attention. Simply communicating the essential points sufficed.

Moreover, Qiong Gu was the Sea Fish Tribe’s new Chieftain. She herself could genuinely relax now.

“Yu’er, we shall soon reach the Flame Dragon Tribe. Upon arrival, I shall properly introduce the Flame Dragon Tribe to you.” Co Co’s tone carried anticipation.

She had been away from the Flame Dragon Tribe for far too long. Last time she had anticipated returning quickly.

Who could have known the Sea Fish Tribe’s affairs would prove so numerous, seemingly impossible to complete?

After completing the tasks, she needed to remain to stabilise morale. Initially, everyone’s loyalty did not lie with the Flame Dragon Tribe. They did not consider the Sea Fish Tribe as belonging to the Flame Dragon Tribe. Consequently, everyone caused disturbances for some time.

With such circumstances emerging, Co Co could not confidently return to the Flame Dragon Tribe. If she departed, who knew what those people might do?

Since Su Bai had saved her life and helped her reclaim the Sea Fish Tribe, she absolutely needed to contribute her efforts for him.

What she could accomplish was stabilising everyone’s morale at the Sea Fish Tribe, enabling them to accept the Flame Dragon Tribe sooner. This was her mission.

Evidently, her remaining there proved useful. Everyone indeed became more accepting of the Flame Dragon Tribe than previously, no longer as extreme.

*An an an…* The Flying Rain Beast called out affectionately. Since reuniting with Co Co, it has frequently heard about Flame Dragon Tribe matters.

Possessing some intelligence, having been raised from infancy, it naturally became interested in the Flame Dragon Tribe.

“Let us take the extra effort. Let’s reach the Flame Dragon Tribe before we rest, okay?” Co Co’s gentle voice responded.

After cutting her long hair, Co Co now felt completely comfortable flying through the sky, no longer having long hair obscuring her face.

*An an an…* The Flying Rain Beast called softly, indicating it understood.

The Flying Rain Beast’s current form differed from its previous appearance. During rainfall, its entire body was white, appearing quite beautiful. Its tail consisted of two sections, and its two front teeth were quite long. However, currently it appeared different.

The Flying Rain Beast naturally possessed two forms. One manifested during rainfall, the other during dry conditions.

Its current form was pure black, lacking the two long front teeth and the double tail, now possessing only a single tail. Other differences were minimal.

Additionally, its fur appeared considerably fluffier, resembling a Chow Chow (Dog Breed). During rainfall, the Flying Rain Beast somewhat resembled a Shiba Inu, with shorter fur.

“It has been quite some time since observing from above. This perspective is genuinely comfortable. However, before long, this area will transform into a water expanse again.”

Co Co recalled last year when the Sea Fish Tribe was attacked during the rainy season. At that time, she too rode the Flying Rain Beast through the air, though fleeing rather than travelling.

*An an an…* The Flying Rain Beast expressed understanding. At that time, it had fallen injured, recovery requiring considerable time. The moment its injuries healed, it immediately flew back to the Sea Fish Tribe seeking Co Co.

“I shall not dwell on these old matters. Living well right now is good enough.” Co Co took a deep breath.

Four hours later, person and beast gradually approached the Flame Dragon Tribe.

This route had been previously explored by the Flying Rain Beast, ensuring accuracy.

Moreover, they had departed two days ago. This was the second day. Normally, they would arrive now.

“Hmm? Why does this appear different?” Co Co’s face showed surprise.

She recalled that upon departing, the Flame Dragon Tribe’s exterior lacked these features. Those walls constructed from stone had never been observed before.

Currently, at some distance from the Flame Dragon Tribe, a large workforce was constructing walls.

Although the walls were not yet particularly tall, their range was extensive. Given time, they would certainly grow increasingly higher.

*An an an…* The Flying Rain Beast expressed confusion. It was unfamiliar with the Flame Dragon Tribe, only hearing about it from Co Co. Other details remained unknown.

Co Co stroked the Flying Rain Beast’s fur, saying softly. “See. This entire place belongs to the Flame Dragon Tribe. Is it not big? Several times larger than the Sea Fish Tribe, right?”

Co Co felt considerable admiration. She had not anticipated that after departing the Flame Dragon Tribe briefly, such comprehensive plans had been implemented.

Although this information did not come from Su Bai directly, observing from above provided perfect clarity.

Starting from the Flame Dragon Tribe and extending bilaterally and forwards, the designated area was remarkably expansive. Trees beside the planned wall construction sites had long been cleared.

Additionally, wall construction had commenced on both sides of the Flame Dragon Tribe. Anyone could see this, particularly when observing from above.

“The Shaman’s plan is truly ambitious. But, will managing such a vast area without sufficient personnel not be too exhausting?” Co Co wondered aloud curiously.

Co Co considered territorial expansion beneficial. Other Tribes would not dare create problems. However, the issue was the current lack of personnel.

The current Flame Dragon Tribe could already accommodate considerable numbers. Expanding this extensively seemed wasteful of manpower and resources.

“Who knows? Once we arrive, I can simply ask the Shaman directly. Would that not be good enough?” Co Co shook her head, ceasing further pondering.

Half an hour later, they gradually descended onto the plaza before the Yong’an Building.

Upon approaching the Flame Dragon Tribe, surveillance personnel had discovered them, promptly reporting to the Chieftain.

After Yan Jiao emerged and observed, he immediately dispatched Yan Hua alongside the Peak Eagle to investigate.

In the sky, the two girls met with considerable joy, exchanging brief pleasantries before proceeding to Yong’an Building.

However, evidently the Flying Rain Beast’s arrival sparked considerable curiosity amongst numerous Tribe members.

It also provoked hostility from Peak Eagle, Two Tailed Grey Wolf, and other domesticated Ferocious Beasts. They currently maintain vigilant observation.

Without their Masters’ commands, they would not act rashly, obediently waiting outside.

“Shaman, I have returned.” Upon entering the second floor, Co Co immediately expressed happiness, simultaneously remembering proper etiquette.

“Welcome back. The journey must have been taxing for you.” Su Bai said gently.

Not having seen Co Co for quite some time, observing her again revealed certain differences.

“It was not taxing whatsoever. On the contrary, I am very happy now.” Co Co felt warmth in her heart.

With such gentle concern, however exhausting the journey, she no longer felt tired.
