I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 953, Do Not Store in Glass Bottles

Yan Hua blinked her red eyes innocently, accepting the protective suit and examining it for quite some time.

She kept touching the material of the protective suit and its overall design, asking: “Shaman, can wearing this really provide protection?”

Yan Hua felt somewhat uncertain. She certainly did not want to be stung by the White Foot Six Legged Insects.

“When have I ever deceived you? Try it and you will know.” Su Bai said confidently.

The reason for his confidence was that he had already arranged for it to be tested, and no problems had emerged. After all, if they were to extract honey in the future, this protective suit would be crucial. Naturally, extensive testing was required during the production process.

“Understood.” Yan Hua’s heart immediately settled. What the Shaman said was never wrong.

With assistance from the attendants, Yan Hua put on the protective suit. The dimensions and sizing presented no significant problem.

The protective suits had been deliberately made slightly larger during production, precisely to accommodate a wider range of people. This also ensured a looser fit. If the suits were too tight against the body, unless the material possessed exceptional quality, one would still be stung by the White Foot Six Legged Insects.

“Shaman, I also want to try wearing it.” Sha Lan’s face was full of anticipation.

“Naturally. There are additional protective suits. Take one and wear it.” Su Bai nodded.

“Thank you, Shaman.” Sha Lan smiled happily, also taking a protective suit to put on, carefully concealing her cat tail.

After both had dressed, they walked cheerfully towards the wooden crates, their hearts carrying slight trepidation.

“Do not worry. Absolutely nothing will happen to you. Simply retrieve what you need confidently.” Su Bai encouraged them.

He could perceive the girls’ lingering nervousness.

“Understood!” The girls’ gentle voices responded.

*Step step step…*

The two approached a wooden crate, slowly lifting the lid.

The moment the lid opened, the White Foot Six Legged Insects inside surged forth like a migration of wildebeest.

Moreover, these insects appeared remarkably spider-like. Seeing them crawl out in such dense numbers truly startled one.

Clearly, both Yan Hua and Sha Lan were frightened. The lid in Sha Lan’s hand was instinctively released.

“This was completely unexpected. I did not anticipate so many White Foot Six Legged Insects inside.” Sha Lan worked to calm her startled heartbeat.

It was not exactly fear, simply that such an unprepared emergence of so many creatures was genuinely unanticipated.

“However, it seems there truly is no problem.” Yan Hua extended her hand in surprise.

Two White Foot Six Legged Insects still clung to Yan Hua’s hand. Evidently, she had not been stung.

Observing Yan Hua already playing with the White Foot Six Legged Insects, Sha Lan also picked one up, discovering she indeed had not been stung.

She grasped it joyfully, exclaiming in delight. “Shaman, there really is no problem! This protective suit is so useful.”

“Did I not tell you I would not deceive you? Do not disturb them for too long. Extract some honey first.” Su Bai instructed.

He was not entirely certain of the White Foot Six Legged Insects’ behavioural patterns. No one knew whether they would continue remaining here after being disturbed. Minimising disturbance was preferable.

“Understood.” Yan Hua accepted a glass bottle passed by an attendant.

Sha Lan immediately extracted a piece of honeycomb, directing the flowing honey entirely towards the bottle. Golden-coloured honey slowly poured into the transparent glass bottle. Within several minutes, the one-litre glass bottle was completely filled with honey.

“Shaman, it is ready.” Sha Lan smiled happily, observing the entire bottle of golden honey with satisfaction.

Yan Hua immediately replaced the lid beside her, pulling the cat eared girl away from the White Foot Six Legged Insects.

“The colour appears very pure. Golden and beautiful. I really like it.” Yu Ying’s pink eyes sparkled continuously.

“This one bottle will last us quite some time. If you wish to consume some, you may take it whenever you like.” Su Bai smiled faintly.

“Shaman, many crates are still not opened. Should we not open them?” Yan Hua’s face was full of anticipation.

“Let others handle that. There is no rush. Store everything in containers and exchange them at the Central Market. The price should be set relatively high.”

Su Bai thoughtfully, continuing. “But, do not store it in glass bottles. Wooden containers will do.”

He had no intention of using glass bottles to store honey. That would simply benefit those conducting the exchange.

Glass was no longer novel to the Flame Dragon Tribe. With the establishment of the glass workshop, numerous glass products were manufactured daily. However, currently nothing has been distributed publicly. Everyone temporarily had no means of obtaining any glass.

Only the Yong’an Building, the Chieftain, and certain high-ranking personnel possessed glass bottles. Beyond that, no one else.

“Understood. I shall remember this.” Sha Lan immediately extracted her notebook, asking curiously: ” But, Shaman, how should this honey be priced?”

Su Bai considered seriously, saying. “Fifty kilograms of dried meat for one small bottle, or Shaman Bone Tablets and similar items. Essentially, let them determine the specific good they wish to use in this trade.”

Many items at the Central Market were now overseen by Sha Lan, including their pricing.

Weight and measurement standards had long been implemented. Calculations no longer used imprecise methods like ‘one stone’ or ‘two stone’.

“Understood. After completing the arrangements, I shall report to you, Shaman.” Sha Lan said earnestly.

“Shaman, when the rainy season arrives, what should be done with these White Foot Six Legged Insects?” Yu Ying suddenly asked with concern.

Yu Ying worried about this flower field. After all, destroying such a beautiful field would be regrettable.

“This outdoor flower field cannot be preserved. But, the flower field inside the greenhouse can be maintained. We simply need to transfer the White Foot Six Legged Insects inside when the time comes.”

Su Bai said seriously.

He also regretted losing this large outdoor flower field. It was genuinely beautiful. However, transplanting everything was impractical.

“Very well. It is truly regrettable.” Yu Ying muttered.

“Let me consider. These flowers need not be completely wasted. They can all be collected before the rainy season arrives. Can they not be used to make perfume?” Su Bai smiled faintly, continuing: “Bathing solutions, soap and similar products are also possible. This large flower field can certainly produce a ton of these products.”

He had nearly forgotten this. After all, the raw materials for perfume, bathing solutions, and soap were fresh flowers. Otherwise, where would those fragrant scents originate?

“Yeah! I also nearly forgot this point. Everyone will be busy during the rainy season.” Yu Ying immediately cheered up.

“The remaining flower stems can be used for composting. Nothing will be wasted.” Su Bai said softly.

“I understand. I shall ensure our people fully utilise them.” Sha Lan brushed her blue hair aside.
