I Became The Chief Of A Primitive Village

Chapter 971, Flame Manipulation

Su Bai still followed his usual routine. Upon waking, he directly checked in on the System.

He had not obtained a Mid Grade Assistance Package for quite a long time recently. Most had been Low Grade Assistance rewards.

Moreover, he had opened very many duplicate Low Grade Assistance rewards, such as combs, mirrors, toothpaste and shower gel, and so on.

However, these things were not without use. After all, they were all consumables, and keeping them was still useful.

Furthermore, there was not only him alone in the Yong’an Building. There were also the girls.

Upon hearing this, Su Bai instantly could not remain calm. He had long since given up hope on the idea of randomly opening Mid Grade Assistance.

After all, so much time had already passed. Only within specified time periods would he get a Mid Grade Assistance.

Moreover, most were items, with not much relation to Skills.

But now it was different. Now he had randomly obtained a Mid Grade Assistance, such an excellent Skill.

Placed on anyone, they would not remain calm. Su Bai was no exception. In his room, he suppressed his excited feelings and even more so suppressed the impulse to shout aloud.

[System, transmit the details on Flame Manipulation Skill to me.] Su Bai summoned the System in his heart.

Since he had obtained the Mid Grade Assistance, and it was even a Skill, he needed to understand the detailed information of this Skill even more.

In Su Bai’s mind, it was as if a warm current surged in, beginning to envelop his brain.

This sensation was very comfortable. A large amount of knowledge began pouring into his memory.

Su Bai rapidly digested this knowledge. The happy smile on his face could no longer be suppressed.

Flame Manipulation, as the name suggested, was the ability to manipulate flames. As long as it was fire, he could manipulate it.

He could transfer flame from its original location to another, or make the fire larger. Or change flame from a fiercely burning state to extinguished. These were all abilities of Flame Manipulation.

“But, it’s a bit regrettable. I can only manipulate flames, but I cannot produce flames.” Su Bai felt somewhat disappointed.

When he first heard Flame Manipulation, what came to mind was of course being like a certain anime from Earth, where his entire body could catch fire, and no weapons would work on him.

There was also being able to ignite a large pile of flames anywhere at any time. After seeing the detailed information, he still felt it was a bit regrettable.

Of course, this Skill was still great. Although he could not produce flames himself, being able to manipulate existing flames at will was also extremely powerful.

“From what I know, it seems some Shamans can also manipulate flames, so does this mean I now possess other Shamans’ abilities?” Su Bai nodded thoughtfully and murmured to himself, “But, this also counts as a trump card for preserving my life, and is also a symbol of the Flame Dragon Tribe’s strength.”

He had been curious from the start why it was called the Flame Dragon Tribe?

Although it possessed the ‘Dragon’ Totem, it did not seem to have any connection with flames.

The original Old Shaman also did not know any Shaman Techniques for manipulating flames. However, thinking about it afterwards…

Most likely, previous Shamans had known these things, but passed down through the generations, this Shaman Technique had not been learnt by anyone.

But all that was in the past. Su Bai believed that now, with him able to manipulate flames, it matched the name Flame Dragon Tribe even better.

He satisfactorily opened the Attribute Panel and began checking the various data within.

Looking at the series of skills, Su Bai’s heart could not be more satisfied.

He had not thought at the start that he would possess so many Skills. After all, although he knew there was a check-in System at the beginning…

He had never known it could produce so many useful Skills: healing, defence, and of course attack as well.

“Flame Manipulation has no Level restriction, which means there’s no more room for improvement.” Su Bai murmured while looking at the Attribute Panel. “In any case, let me try it out first.”

As his words fell, he casually picked up a lighter from the desk. This was a System reward that had been produced just yesterday.

Su Bai did not hesitate to activate the lighter. A small flame appeared in response.

He extended his hand towards the small flame on the lighter and summoned the System in his heart, using Flame Manipulation.

Instantly, Su Bai’s hand emitted a faint orange-red glow.

The small flame on the lighter also began trembling, as if dancing and swaying left and right.

It even left the lighter’s original ignition port and began floating in mid-air.

Su Bai then placed the lighter back on the desk. His finger lightly flicked upwards.

The small flame also bounced upwards accordingly. In any case, wherever Su Bai’s finger pointed…

The small flame would follow to that location. It also changed into several different forms along the way.

Of course, these were all changes brought about by Su Bai’s mental manipulation. The small flame sometimes became a small rabbit, sometimes an elephant.

Just like a lump of plasticine that could change at will, this experiment continued for several minutes.

[That’s right. I remember Flame Manipulation can make original flames larger or disappear.] Thinking of this, Su Bai instantly looked towards the small flame and said, “Burn.”

The small flame received the instruction and began expanding. From the original flame the size of a small leaf, it became a mass of roaring flames.

The entire ball of flame was like a basketball burning. The surroundings of the entire room were filled with orange-red firelight.

“It truly will enlarge according to my Will, but I cannot feel any heat.” Su Bai thought satisfactorily in his heart, his black eyes constantly fixed on that mass of flames.

He manipulated his mental intent to change the basketball-sized flame back to its original appearance, then made it disappear.

The entire series of operations took less than ten minutes, yet Su Bai played around with great interest.
