Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 648: Chapter 647: Two Fleeting Years, Sky Taxi

The Five Elders were well aware of the peculiarities of the Heavenly Celestial Dragons within the Holy Land, and in recent times, the Celestial Dragons often engaged in strange activities.

For instance, the Fland Family inexplicably got involved in the matter of a child star and an entertainment ship.

However, compared to the feats of the Donquixote family, what the Fland Family did was a small matter.

Many years ago, Donquixote Honagu renounced his identity as a Celestial Dragon because he yearned for an ordinary life.

His excessive kindness made him an oddity among the Celestial Dragons, and his son was also seen as a ”madman” in the eyes of the Five Elders because Doflamingo tried to rejoin the Celestial Dragons with Honagu’s head in hand.

Mjosgard, who was fond of fishman slaves, underwent a change of perspective after a trip to Fishman Island.

Not long ago, Doflamingo even seized the Heavenly Gold and used that ”secret” as leverage to secure a position among the Seven Warlords of the Sea and began his machinations in Dressrosa.

The three members of the Donquixote family had made the Five Elders somewhat accustomed to their abnormal behavior, viewing it as a regular occurrence.

”They’re just fishmen, nothing significant, but Doflamingo... how did that kid find out about that secret?”

The bald Five Elder slightly unsheathed the sword in his hand, a glint of cold light shining on it.

Were it not for certain concerns, they would never let Doflamingo roam free.

”We don’t know, but the purge isn’t for us to decide, Lord Imu’s time has not come, we just need to wait.”

Whatever happened on The Sea was of no consequence to the Five Elders. If a person troubled them, they would erase that person; if an island troubled them, they would erase that island. They had done so countless times throughout history.

As long as Imu still existed, the Five Elders perceived themselves to remain undefeated.

Moving their gazes downward, right beneath Mary Geoise, Jinbe had also returned there.

After obtaining the position of a Seven Warlord of the Sea, he spent most of his time on Fishman Island, occasionally venturing into the New World to visit the Whitebeard Pirates, who protected Fishman Island, and he also met the Hundred Beasts Pirates who saved Tiger.

In most cases, he chose to safeguard Fishman Island, and with the news he gathered, Jinbe quickly returned to Dragon Palace City.

”King Neptune, Princess Otohime, everything is fine now; that matter is completely over.”

”So it just passed like that?”

”I seem to have heard them mention the Celestial Dragons. Perhaps the Celestial Dragon the princess once rescued helped us, but can such a person really change?”

”People always change, I believe not all Celestial Dragons are like that. It seems he has indeed changed,”

Mjosgard, who particularly liked fishman slaves, had initially headed to Fishman Island to reclaim the liberated slaves.

Fishman Island had undergone significant change, and fishman slaves were nearly extinct outside.

However, Mjosgard was attacked by a Sea King while en route, and though he drifted alive to Fishman Island, he was seriously injured.

The fishmen who had once been enslaved by him intended to take the opportunity to kill him and exact their revenge, but Otohime stopped them.

To prove to more residents of Fishman Island that the outside world wasn’t solely dangerous, Otohime personally escorted Mjosgard back to the Holy Land after his recovery.

Due to Otohime’s special constitution, this was nearly the perfect testament.

Currently, it seemed that Mjosgard had indeed changed, but whether he was genuinely moved to change by Otohime or if he was affected by Otohime’s Observation Haki during the journey was something only he would know.

...

Time unknowingly slipped by, silently developing all around the world.

It was already mid-1514.

Over the past two-plus years, Doflamingo continued with his schemes in Dressrosa.

The gold mines in Cocoyasi Village were successfully extracted, and though the Orange Garden still existed, it had purely become a food production area for the Heracross, with the whole village beginning to shift its industry.

Zoro in Shimotsuki Village continued training diligently, while the inexplicably transferred Darkrai had landed on a strange island, embarking on new explorations.

On Fuerxhe Island, believing ”Tiger” to be dead, Koala left her home and joined the Revolutionary Army, becoming one of its members.

On Kuraigana Island, destroyed by war, Hawkeye came and settled there.

Grand Tesoro became a world-renowned entertainment metropolis, the largest economic center in the New World.

Uta had become quite a popular songstress, though still far from her goal, and the Red Hair Pirates had yet to become a Sea Emperor but had become the most powerful pirates below the Sea Emperor.

The forces under the Hundred Beasts and their allied forces continued to search for the Poneglyphs and Arceus’s Plate, but with little success.

Yamato, Jack, Maria, Sasaki, and Who’s-Who were gradually gaining a more resounding reputation as new-generation officers on The Sea.

Significant changes also occurred within the Navy. Kong ascended to the position of Grand Marshal of the World Government’s three armies, while Sengoku took over as Navy Marshal. Sakazuki, Borsalino, and Kuzan were promoted to Headquarter Admirals under the respective codenames Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji.

After years, the positions of the Navy’s Three Great Admirals were finally filled again.

However, Zephyr suffered a major setback; the training ship he led was attacked by pirates, and all his beloved students except Aine and Binz were killed, with his right arm severely wounded.

Both his body and spirit took a heavy toll.

The new-generation Three Great Admirals led the Navy to carry out a series of operations, but their monstrous strength did not bring calm to The Sea, with the number of pirates setting sail ever-increasing.

Under such circumstances, internal actions began anew - transportation.

This wasn’t about getting Tom to build the Sea Train; Tom was still traveling with Tiger and hadn’t come to the Hundred Beasts’ territory. The current shipping could still meet the Hundred Beasts’ demands, albeit slowly.

Not all officers could fly, and ordinary people within the territory also needed faster and more convenient transportation, under which circumstances, the sky taxi service gradually gained popularity.

Based on the Iron Plate, a large number of Corviknights appeared over The Sea.

Altaria and Thousand-Year Dragon became transportation tools within Ghost Island because their backs were softer and more comfortable, while outside they were gradually replaced by Corviknights.

As the name suggests, their feathers evolved over time. Except for the softer chest feathers, the rest had turned to steel.

Despite their heavy bodies, the Corviknights could still soar freely through the skies. The strength contained within their bodies was the reason they served as sky taxis.
