Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 634: Chapter 633: Execution

”Hahaha! Neptune, you’re afraid, worried that our spirit will pass on, but it’s useless, the anger of the Fishman Race will not disappear, even if you kill me, it won’t work!”

”You... ”

Even the usually kind-hearted Jinbe’s expression changed when he looked at him. His remarks encompassed all of Fishman Island’s peace advocates.

”Forget it, it’s pointless trying to reason with him. He thinks of himself as a hero, someone who never believes they are wrong will never admit their mistakes.”

”You humans seem quite understanding, then you should know, you scum should be....”

Crack.

Before Hody could finish speaking, the Dragon Claw of the Mandfeish, in its beast form, snapped Hody Jones’ neck.

”Sorry, though I’m a villain too, I’m not interested in listening to the rantings of a fanatic like you.

King Neptune, my apologies, but since you’ve already sentenced him to death, I couldn’t hold back any longer; his words were too unpleasant.”

In his tirade of insults, Rushaka was also dragged into them, which had exceeded the tolerance limit of Mandfeish. Not dealing with this guy made him feel uneasy.

”It’s fine, the result isn’t much different.”

Neptune doesn’t enjoy publicly executing others, and there’s no meaning in openly executing such a fanatic extremist. If he were to incite a Fishman rebellion era with just a shout, Fishman Island would be in big trouble.

The direct cause of the Great Pirate Era was Roger, but if it weren’t for that person who asked ”Where is the treasure?”, Roger might have reconsidered his approach.

Although it was just a coincidence, the World Government deliberately maintains this chaotic situation. In this scenario, that person asking the question might have been a plant, but whether it was Roger who placed them or the World Government did, only they would know.

”King Neptune, even though I’m a human, this is Rushaka’s home too, and she’ll often return here.

I need to say a word, a guy like Hody can easily muster so many opposers with just a few words. The management on Fishman Island needs to be strengthened; if there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave.”

Apart from the leader Hody and his accomplices, there were some ordinary fishmen who were incited. Such a thing isn’t surprising as there are people in every race who can’t distinguish right from wrong and believe rumors.

Mandfeish’s intention in saying this is to urge Neptune to handle it well and ensure that those who were hesitant see that participating in the rebellion had no punishment or else there’ll be trouble next time.

Ultimately, Hody Jones was executed, with a few leaders sentenced to life imprisonment. Those who took Poison won’t have a long prison life as they’ve already wasted their youth through that drug.

As for the ordinary participants, they were punished according to the severity of their actions, with the involvement of the Sea King Army. This matter is more or less over.

Manaphy and Shirahoshi made eye contact, and Manaphy had a good impression of this new big friend.

But within a few days, before Mandfeish returned to his stationed island, Manaphy received new information.

”A new quarry has been discovered?”

”Yes, a group of newcomers discovered it, but it seems that Sea King Types inhabit the area. Lord Manaphy, we’re counting on you to handle this matter.”

A fishman who joined the Hundred Beasts Fruit informed Manaphy of the situation. The working fishmen were continuously searching for new quarries. The vast sea held too many unknowns, and some rare quarries with small reserves were limited extraction targets.

Once any Sea King Types are found nearby, Manaphy will go to persuade them to leave. This has become a standard procedure, and this time is no exception.

”Alright, leave it to me. White Star, I need to go to work. I’ll play with you when I get back.”

He had given Shirahoshi a peculiar nickname, and many of his friends had similar nicknames.

”I understand.”

In the deep sea, Manaphy led a new extraction team onwards.

”Aren’t we there yet?”

”Almost there. This time it was discovered by a new team. They said it is in the seabed basin just ahead. They are already waiting here.”

...

In the deep sea, a pirate ship drifted nearby, with a pirate flag painted with crossed swords and a skull full of sharp teeth.

Both the sails and the ship body were severely damaged, and the words Flying Dutchman were faintly visible on the sails. This was Vander Decken IX’s pirate ship.

He is a Mark-Mark Fruit user, now hiding inside a bubble. Due to gaining the Fruit Ability, he lost the Fishman Race’s natural swimming ability, so when operating underwater, he must apply a swimming film as a protective measure, otherwise, he would become weak and powerless.

The strange person mentioned by the staff before was him. The mining branch was always hiring, and a few days ago, Vander Decken IX went to apply for a staff position.

Because he had learned the operational patterns of the mining company, once Sea King Types were found near a new quarry, Manaphy would go to evict them, which was Vander Decken IX’s opportunity, a chance to capture Manaphy. That’s why he infiltrated the company and led them here. To make it more believable, he even worked for a few days with a bubble film on.

”Wadatsumi! Speed up, they should be arriving soon!”

”Okay, Captain Vanderdecken.”

The Flying Dutchman had no film coating, and the worn hull had long since lost its propulsion in the sea. Its movement wasn’t due to the sea current but because something was pulling the ship.

The creature pulling the ship was the Wadatsumi Vander Decken IX referred to, a gigantic red-finned blowfish fishman.

Its hair and beard nearly formed a circle, with a small spike on top. When its mouth opened, a few sparse big teeth were visible.

Like a sea monster, its physique had few opponents in the sea, but Wadatsumi’s mind was not mature, similar to a child’s. He listened to Vander Decken’s words almost without question, which made him a member of his pirate crew.

”Later, you need to follow my instructions and catch that little blue guy. If he gets suspicious, it’ll be troublesome.”

”I got it, Captain. I’ll catch that little guy, but what does he look like anyway?”

To Wadatsumi, many things were little guys, so just specifying ”blue” was too vague.

”Blue, shaped like a water droplet, and... How should I put it... ”

”Is it like me?”

”Yes, just like that!”

As Vander Decken IX was deliberating on how to describe Manaphy’s appearance, a voice suddenly came to his ear. Manaphy was sitting on a Swampert’s head, looking at him.

Following Manaphy was not just one Swampert but a group. When a new quarry was discovered, the Swamperts would always accompany Manaphy to first carve out a mine tunnel, and now these Swamperts were glaring menacingly at Vander Decken IX.

To ordinary marine creatures, Manaphy was a Group Pet, let alone Swamperts, which also belong to Pokemon.
