Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 611: Chapter 610: Pokemon Bio-Warship

Jack has his own ship, so it goes without saying that Yamato, who is even stronger, would as well. If not for the higher expectations placed on her compared to others, she could have set sail on her own long ago.

However, giving her this ship does not mean she is already qualified. The crew and sailors on board are still personnel assigned by Kaidou and Arceus, and it’s very likely that a high-level official will accompany her on the journey.

Only when all the personnel are arranged by herself, and she no longer requires anyone else accompanying her, will she be officially qualified.

This ship is just a stage reward; with it, she won’t need to board other ships for travel, which is also a small recognition of her strength.

But this name... ℴ

”Huh? Why not? Is it not okay to name the ship after myself?”

Soon, Yamato received a rejection reply, and the ship name ”Yamato,” which she had thought up, was vetoed.

”Miss Yamato, I heard that Lord Arceus personally rejected it, saying it’s an ill omen to use that name on a ship, so you should think of another name.”

Some ships named Yamato are indeed strong, but among them, there’s something particularly unique.

One such Yamato’s tonnage and firepower were world-class, as was its sinking speed. Nicknamed ”unsinkable,” it didn’t meet a good end under a barrage of fire.

Yamato’s ship was not built very large, according to her wishes. She didn’t want to bring too many people to sea; a simple and easy-to-operate ship is best, so her ship is the smallest among the cadres, about three times the size of the Thousand Sunny.

Compared to flagship giants like Jack and Maria, Yamato’s ship is rather miniature.

”No, I’m going to ask Father. Speed, you feed Larvitar for a while.”

Leaving the feeding task to others, Yamato brushed the dust off her hands and headed towards Ghost Island.

...

”Father, why? Is the name ’Yamato’ not good?”

”They should have told you, a person’s name is fine, but for a ship... Yamato, you’d better come up with a new name. While it sounds unscientific, these things are still worth paying attention to at sea.”

Arceus himself is the epitome of the unscientific, yet this is a miraculous world where ship spirits can arise, and unknown supernatural events often occur at sea. Those who frequently navigate the sea are quite superstitious about certain things.

”If you really insist, it’s not impossible to reinforce the ship a bit.”

He was initially firmly against the name, but seeing Yamato slightly disappointed, a name is something that could be changed, and as for those superstitions, he had ways to suppress them.

”Alright then, since you say so, Father, I’ll think of another name... Hmm... I think a name like ’Pokemon Ship’ might be worth considering.”

”Don’t worry about it for now, let me take you to see your new ship.”

The issue of the ship’s name was temporarily put on hold, with Arceus personally taking Yamato to see her new ship. However, the direction they headed made Yamato feel something was off, as this was not a traditional shipyard, but rather an experimental lab of Queen’s by the coast of Ringo.

There are many laboratories of Queen in Wano Kuni: the weapon and chemical labs in Udon, the agricultural lab in Hakumai, and here, the mechanical lab in Ringo.

”Father, this is not a shipyard?”

”Your ship is here. It is different from other ships; it is actually an experimental ship. Some scholars helped with this too.”

Paleontologists also have some understanding of biology, and among those archaeologists, there are talents specialized in studying ships. In the library of the New Tree of Omniscience, there is a lot of information.

Some documents put together suggest battleship manufacturing, but the propulsion and weapon systems’ sections are greatly incomplete, making replication impossible. Building according to these would likely produce an empty shell of a ship.

With existing power means, operating such a ship would be very cumbersome. In the dangerous Grand Line, an overly cumbersome iron ship holds little advantage and is difficult to operate.

But under Arceus’s requirements, they still sorted out the blueprints from the document and built a metal warship here.

The most difficult problems of power and operation were solved by Arceus. Under his control, this ship was not just an ironclad ship but a biological battleship.

Because the core power of this ship is provided by Pokemon, specifically the newly created Pokemon by Arceus - Revavroom.

The multi-cylinder Pokemon, a dual-type of Steel and Poison, visually resembles a large engine.

Revavroom evolves from Varoom.

Varoom is born when a specific Poison-type Pokemon enters an engine abandoned in a factory, creating a unique Pokemon.

After this transformation, its steel body becomes its main body. Its interior is a large cylinder, and upon evolving into Revavroom, the number of cylinders becomes eight. They convert rocks into power by consuming them.

In the Paldea Region, Team Star created special vehicles by modifying Revavroom, whereas Arceus used similar methods to transform Revavroom into the ship’s power core.

With Revavroom’s abilities, it naturally can easily drive this ship; it can be viewed as an alternative steamship.

However, its power is stronger, and any stone can serve as energy, metal, poisons, and in emergencies, even alcohol can act as a backup energy source, and it is far more stable than a steamship.

No complicated boiler crew is needed, just prepare the minerals to feed it. Revavroom can also serve as the ship’s fire-control system, attacking enemies through voice control.

The entire ship’s linkage not only relies on Revavroom but also the presence of Rotom. Inside are many Rotom-style engines, including the captain’s room, all similarly set up. Through commanding Rotom, voice control over the entire ship can be accomplished.

This aspect of the circuitry was obtained after Queen’s modification, which is also why the ship was built here. For some tasks, besides Queen, the Hundred Beasts really had no one else capable of replacing him.

”Since you don’t want to bring too many people, this ship perfectly meets your requirements. Just a few people can operate it. With your ability to communicate with Pokemon, you can even control the entire ship by yourself.”

Before Arceus could finish speaking, Yamato had already hopped onto her ship and was surveying it up and down; to her, it was like a great treasure.

As she shuttled through different cabins, her eyes shone brightly; this was simply a dream ship. If it could transform, it would be even better.
