Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 623: Chapter 622: Uta’s Debut Performance

”Fufufufufu, as expected of Hundred Beasts, such grandness, using such an amazing ability for a concert.”

At this moment, Doflamingo is lamenting the squander of this fruit’s power; in his view, this ability could have much bigger uses.

If he had this fruit, some of his plans could be advanced. Realistic phantoms combined with his Parasitic String, he would be fully capable of staging a massive puppet show on a national scale.

If he saw this ability user elsewhere, he would definitely abduct them and find a way to make use of them for himself.

As for how he knew this was an ability user, he is also present at the main stage, and he witnessed An tearing the illustration from a book and turning it into a phantom in the sky with his own eyes.

Unfortunately, this is Hundred Beasts’ territory. Relying on them is already too late, let alone backstabbing them.

In another aspect, he seems unqualified to judge the strength of a fruit ability, being an excellent Devil Fruit supplier, many powerful fruits have come from his hands. His own people have quite a few strong fruits, but ridiculous ones aren’t few either.

For example, the Swim-Swim Fruit, maybe it could develop into a strange ability, but compared to a fruit that grants powerful strength upon consumption, the ability to swim in the ground seems quite humble.

”But that emblem... if I’m not mistaken, that’s the Fland Family’s crest. Those people generally not interested in external affairs actually got involved here, truly unexpected of Hundred Beasts.”

The emblem of different families from the Heavenly Celestial Dragon is completely different. As a former Celestial Dragon, Mingo can recognize these patterns.

In Celestial Dragon behavior, their attendance at the opening ceremony indicates some connection with them. At this moment, Doflamingo feels he’s underestimated them; Hundred Beasts’ influence is greater than he thought.

But this is beneficial for him, the stronger Hundred Beasts is, the more advantages for him.

.....

”Uta, are you ready?”

”I’m ready; I’ve become very familiar with this song.”

”Don’t be nervous; even if something unexpected happens, Tesoro and I can help you through it, just focus on your performance.”

”Hela, Hela!”

This is her first time on a world-class stage. Previously, the biggest stage she’d experienced was Ellegia’s national concert, but with Ellegia’s population, it wasn’t a grand scene.

The debut is critical for an artist. To prevent Uta from stage fright affecting her true strength, Stella is cheering her on.

Along with Heracross flexing its muscles, signaling that it can securely take Uta into the air, she only needs to concentrate on performing.

With Heracross’s lifting capacity, a basket with Uta and the amplification equipment is nothing at all, and it can last even longer than An’s ability to maintain the phantom stage.

But Uta is not just concerned about this matter.

”Um, is this being broadcasted live?”

”There will be some, but mainly coverage in newspapers afterward. There are channels for live streaming, but you are still a newcomer.”

Radio Snails capable of live broadcasts are equally rare, typically only found in large cinemas with equipment to receive such signals. Tesoro can handle some channels, but broadcasting worldwide is still beyond reach.

”Can Shanks see it?”

”He can see it; you’ve informed him, and he’ll definitely find a way to watch the broadcast. It’s time, perform well.”

Heracross carries Uta into the sky, while An tears off paper strips with Uta’s name, showing her name in musical notes to the audience.

Uta finally chose ”Wind’s Direction” as her debut song, a song she wrote herself, marking the start of her songstress career, and the first song she performed on the Red Force.

The song Uta performed was entirely her own composition, from music to lyrics. It seems to be her innate talent, with notes being her most reliable companions.

”Beyond the horizon, wave goodbye to that shadow~

No matter when, may I always deliver this song to you~”

Uta’s melodious voice resonated in the sky and then spread to every corner of Grand Tesoro through the amplification equipment. Simultaneously, An continuously tore pages from his sketchbook to create a personal music video for Uta.

Undoubtedly, it was an audio-visual feast. In a world where the entertainment industry is relatively scarce, the emergence of an entertainment city like Grand Tesoro is already a surprise.

The unique programs had already drawn their attention, but Uta’s debut was even more shocking. Even among the nobles, few had seen such a scene, produced by the most realistic fruit ability user.

Among many listeners, Issho was the most unique, while others admired the music video, Issho’s eyes could no longer see, even with Yamato’s explanations, his blindness remained unchanged.

However, he could listen more easily to Uta’s music, listening to the songs that penetrated the soul.

There’s an interconnection between the five senses; when a person loses sight, other senses become sharper, the body trying to compensate for the loss. It’s a reason why many people cover the eyes of those training in Observation Haki.

Exceptional hearing made Issho one of the first to resonate with Uta’s songs.

”A song of longing... She’s really quite a remarkable young one...”

In Issho’s mind, memories of his youth re-emerged, figures once again vividly appearing before him, precious moments before he lost his sight.

Not only the audience, but Uta as the performer gradually entered a state of selflessness; she seemed almost merged with the music, conveying her emotions through her singing.

When the last note was sung from her lips, Grand Tesoro fell into silence momentarily. All listeners were reminiscing about the song, although it was just a few minutes long, the aftertaste lingered far longer.

”Uta! Uta!”

After a brief silence, someone first shouted Uta’s name, the previously distributed support sticks wildly waving in his hand.

”Uta! Uta! Uta!”

With someone taking the lead, responses quickly followed. Uta’s name started spreading from Grand Tesoro, heralding the arrival of a new era’s songstress. For a debut, Uta was undoubtedly a great success.
