Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 624: Chapter 623: Dutiful Daughters

Amid the cheering of the audience, Uta continued to sing her songs, while the sound of camera shutters echoed in the seats. The journalists from the World Economic News Agency, who were here for team-building, had already started drafting their articles.

These writers, valued by Morgans, excelled in both swift sketching and spinning tales.

Although the Phantom created by Ann didn’t have a physical form, the cameras managed to capture it. Just this background alone was enough for tomorrow’s newspaper cover.

The sky’s canvas, the clouds’ sanctuary, the dreamy songstress—these titles were quickly jotted down on their papers.

”Wahaha, not bad, this team-building was worth it. People get tired of constant fighting. Tomorrow’s news will go in the entertainment section. Let’s give the person we ghosted before a small section in the corner, even if we promised the front page, so let’s give them the front page.”

Without comparison, there is no harm. The best way to highlight someone’s strength is to find someone weaker.

To showcase Uta’s talent, Morgans decided to shame some old artists, hoping to provoke protests from their old fans, creating both a hot topic and conflict.

”Boss, the time for the ability is almost up. Delaying any further will affect the follow-up effect.”

Considering the good state of the event, Tesoro appropriately extended Uta’s performance duration. He didn’t have to worry about other issues, as the audience was happy with the program, and Uta was in high spirits. The biggest burden was on the special effects creators.

Even though the audience wouldn’t leave without the effects, the impact would be much less, and today wasn’t Uta’s solo concert; there were other programs to follow.

”Uta, that’s about enough. Prepare today’s closing song. Leave them with some suspense with the songs, and sing them at the next concert.”

As Tesoro pressed the microphone, his voice was transmitted through Uta’s earpiece.

”Everyone, I’m glad you liked my songs, but time is limited today, so that’s all for now. I hope you’ll still be willing to listen to me in the future. The next song is to celebrate our meeting and parting, and it’s dedicated to the fool who left me behind!”

Uta was very young, a child star, so saying such things wouldn’t seem strange. At her age, what could she know of love? But her new fans didn’t think so.

Subsequently, Uta’s fan club even attempted to find the ”fool” she mentioned to teach them a lesson for abandoning Uta.

Meanwhile, on the Red Force, bursts of laughter resounded.

As Tesoro had mentioned, Shanks had acquired live streaming equipment and was watching Uta through the screen.

With special performance attire and a magnificent backdrop, Shanks revealed a knowing smile as he looked at all that Tesoro had prepared, believing Uta’s life here was much better than traveling with them.

It was only in this stable environment that Uta could best realize her dreams, until the mention of the fool reached his ears.

”Shanks, did you hear? Uta called you a fool.”

”Yes, a fool~”

The crew members on the ship circled Shanks, making all sorts of funny faces, while Shanks launched his counterattack.

”What? Little Uta only mentioned me. You guys should be more jealous!”

The new members of the Red Hair Pirates looked at the ”crazy” Shanks and exchanged glances, then looked at the older crew members next to them.

”Is the captain and the officers... always like this?”

”Haha, you’ll get used to it, but don’t worry, the captain is very reliable.”

The deck of the Red Force turned into a sea of joy, with crew members, as before, accompanying Uta’s rhythm with instruments and dance, even if she couldn’t see them.

...

At the Grand Tesoro, with Uta’s debut performance concluded, the following program featured performances by Tesoro and Stella. Today’s show had no ordinary performers; anyone less known wouldn’t stand a chance after Uta.

It was intermission time, and Uta’s fans were still relishing the earlier events.

”Uncle, I wasn’t wrong, right? This was a great show!”

”Indeed, like a baptism of the soul.”

”How about staying to work here, Uncle? It might even cure your eyes.”

Yamato tried to recruit Issho because he was strong, and recruiting strong individuals was always the goal of the Hundred Beasts. She also suggested some conditions.

”No, although it’s nice here, it’s not suitable for me. Staying in such a place isn’t fitting. Until we meet again, young lady. After hearing such a performance, I probably won’t be able to enjoy much else.”

Issho declined Yamato’s offer without hesitation, standing up and leaving. The center of these shady operations wasn’t a place he wanted to work in.

”What? A blind man not giving face like that.”

Ulti stood up for Yamato, even though she verbally opposed Yamato, they were on the same team. An outsider’s attitude like that irked her.

”That uncle is strong indeed, such a pity. Father could recruit people with just a sentence. Why can’t I?”

”Your father just says one word! If they disagree, he just gets violent!”

Listening to Yamato’s comparison, Ulti was at a loss. Kaidou never left anyone a chance to refuse.

”Why don’t you learn from your dad?”

”Forget it. That method doesn’t suit me. My foster father said a forced melon isn’t sweet, and it might not quench thirst; it could even be poisonous.”

Even if they weren’t true fans, at this moment, a certain Fur Race was in a frenzy.

”Duke, please, could you get an autograph for me? Can you? You can, right?”

Bepo’s body seemed to be twisting with shyness and excitement, twisting into a Michelin man silhouette.

”If you want it, go get it yourself. She should be backstage now. Why ask me? Perona, hand me the bottle; these little ones are hungry again.”

Instead of asking for an autograph, Setsuna was more interested in feeding the babies. The Fur Race typically had a short period of breastfeeding, transitioning to solid food after about two months.

Usually, it’s a paste made from crushed various substances, due to the Fur Race’s lack of resources. But now, with Miltank’s support, feeding had improved significantly.

”But, but...”

”Alright, I’ll go with you, okay? You’re a bear Fur Race; when will you stop being so shy?”

Seeing what Bepo was worried about, Perona detached her spirit and flew towards the backstage first, comfortably leaving her physical body with the bear under her care.
