Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 622: Chapter 621: Bugged Viso-Viso Fruit

He despised the current Heavenly Celestial Dragons, not because he disliked what this group did, but because they refused to reaccept him.

His father caused him to fall from the ”Divine Altar.” In his view, without his father’s actions, he would still be a high and mighty Heavenly Celestial Dragon.

However, what has happened cannot be undone, and he can never become a Heavenly Celestial Dragon again. Since he can’t go back, then everyone should come down together. This is Doflamingo’s thinking.

Born as a Heavenly Celestial Dragon, he knew many secrets of the Heavenly Celestial Dragons and was clear that these were not objectives that could be accomplished by words alone. To complete his revenge, he was methodically laying his plans and steadily developing himself.

The Grand Tesoro was full of opportunities; he had already seen many of the underworld kingpins and was ready to connect with them properly.

The Donquixote Pirates planned to enter the New World next year, which was seen as paving the way for himself in advance.

Doflamingo did not bring his subordinates here on this occasion; these matters required his personal involvement, targeting the role of an intermediary. During this process, his identity as a ”Hundred Beasts affiliate distributor” helped him a lot.

Doflamingo’s name still held some value in the North Sea or the First Half of the Grand Line, but in the New World, no one knew who he was, and those industry giants found him beneath notice.

Without the title of a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, he’s just a pirate with a bounty over a hundred million. Such people are a dime a dozen in the New World, with nothing to say for themselves.

But being associated with the Hundred Beasts makes it different; at least it shows the other party has some connection with the Hundred Beasts, so those people were willing to give the Hundred Beasts some face and listen to what he had to say.

Overall, Doflamingo’s development was going quite smoothly; the dinner time had made him reap quite a few achievements.

When he walked back to his room, his steps were a lot more arrogant than before.

...

The next morning, Issho woke up in his room, skillfully changed his clothes, and grabbed the cane-sword beside him as he walked out. Though he still used it as a blind cane to probe the path, it was merely for show. With or without the blind cane, it did not affect his walking.

A new day had begun; he decided to visit the casino to gamble once more, to test his luck today.

He rarely visited the same casino twice; casinos with tricks would usually be shut down by him, while those that played fair and lost at his expense would blacklist him. If he kept winning, nobody could tolerate it.

Issho generally avoided such a losing streak, but on the Grand Tesoro, there was only one casino, so he came with a probing intention. Unexpectedly, there was no obstruction, and after he won, they paid up cheerfully.

Tesoro had prepared quite a few tricks, but those tricks were not for ordinary people. He could afford to lose to regular folks, and some people with good luck he just resigned to it. These tricks were for special situations.

Moreover, he found some interesting happenings; there was no waiting until someone’s in ruin to kick them out, instead, when they lost half of their chips, they were escorted out.

”Let me go, I can turn it around! What kind of casino doesn’t want business?”

”Sorry, but we make the rules here. Your luck in gambling is over for today. Do you really have to lose every last thing you have?”

This was a small rule set by Tesoro. He used to be a gambler and knew the feelings of a gambling high, so he set this rule for customers in the regular hall as a cooling-off period.

He never thought of himself as a good person, nor did he think he had the qualifications to be a good person. Those good people wouldn’t touch so many gray industries. The ”good people” here were long since consumed until nothing remained. He just had his own bottom line.

Hundred Beasts Fruit had specialized personnel patrolling here, dealing with situations like this and also taking qualified people into the VIP hall, where there were no such restrictions.

Eventually, that person was thrown out of the casino. When the cold wind blew over his head, he seemed to have sobered up quite a bit.

”Interesting rule.....”

After betting just once, Issho also walked out, and at this moment, the broadcast throughout the Grand Tesoro began to sound.

”Ladies and gentlemen, the postponed performance will commence in half an hour. Those who are interested can head to the central plaza to participate in the event on-site. Those who haven’t found a spot, don’t worry, the entire Grand Tesoro will be able to enjoy this performance!

Our new star, Uta’s debut performance!”

Tesoro’s voice came from the microphone, and they then discovered the sky above had changed. A dreamy palace appeared floating in the sky.

The sky was now rugged with strange rocks, seemingly demonstrating to humans what miraculous craftsmanship was. The central palace gradually took the shape of a stage.

This was Uta’s debut venue, utilizing Ann’s Viso-Viso Fruit to create false projections.

The phantoms created by Ann were not like Olga’s phantoms that could deceive perception and bring real touch. They would pass through once touched, being completely fake phantoms, but they were much simpler to create.

This was what Tesoro discovered during this time; as long as there were setting data of images in documents, Ann could project them, and it consumed very little energy. Even a large-scale phantom could be maintained for a long time.

So Tesoro made an attempt. He specifically found an artist and author to write a book and to write strict data scenarios for the illustrations, then ripped them down and handed them over to Ann to see if she could project them. The result was positive.

After that, Ann became the designated special effects artist, and any scene that could be drawn and labeled with strict data could be projected by Ann.

Large screens also appeared on the ship’s buildings, starting to display pre-recorded advertisements and conducting final tests.

Uta stood in a prepared gondola, which would later be carried by Heracross to the performance stage in the sky. The gondola was equipped with plenty of amplifiers, but it was no problem at all for Heracross’s strength. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

The performance hadn’t started yet, but this background had already captured everyone’s attention.

Listening to the exclamations of those around, Issho also followed by raising his head to look. However, in his perception, there was nothing there, only weak energy fluctuations could be sensed.

”It’s unfortunate. I bet it’s a quite breathtaking scene.”

”Yeah, it’s fabulous effects, but uncle, you can’t see it. Would you like me to describe it for you?”

Yamato and others appeared nearby Issho carrying glow sticks. Seeing this blind uncle at the scene, Yamato offered this suggestion.

”Haha, then I’ll trouble you. Let me hear how breathtaking this scene is.”

Ordinary people were just exclaiming at the magnificence of the special effects, but for some people, it was different.
