Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 640: Chapter 639: The Consequence of Skipping Class and Getting Caught

The voices of resistance within Wano Kuni are mostly gathered here, and even if there are some remaining outside, they are completely different kinds of people.

Inside the prison are radicals similar to Hody Jones, while most people outside have given up resistance. Over time, even their hearts have changed.

These dangerous individuals are serious offenders and have no opportunity to interact with Yamato, but the prison guards are worried that some of the ordinary prisoners might be influenced and act irrationally.

Even throwing an ordinary stone or uttering an insulting word would mean their dereliction of duty. These are not death row inmates, so the deterrent of their prison term is the best method.

Wine Iron Ore, Seastone, Aggron’s discarded shell, rock fragments from Geodude battles, and special crystals shed by Gigalith—all of these materials, whether from underground deposits or produced by Pokemon bodies, were all hauled to the plaza.

”Lord Babanuki, everything is ready.”

Materials piled like mountains in the empty plaza; placed in Wano Kuni, these materials would drive any blacksmith insane. To them, these are priceless treasures.

With these excellent materials, they can complete the forging of many items.

Even ordinary people could exchange these rare materials for a large sum of money. Needless to say, those high-purity Seastones are scarce even within the World Government, but here they are just ordinary materials.

”Very good, Daifugo, take some people to patrol more frequently. Don’t let any trouble arise today.”

”Plans are already in place, boss, don’t worry. Those people still want to get out alive and won’t cause trouble now.”

”Better safe than sorry. Some people in Wano Kuni don’t think straight, as you know.”

”Alright, I’m leaving then.”

The worries of Babanuki did not materialize; both the workers and the prisoners behaved very obediently. Yamato wasn’t concerned with these people and instead was selecting materials with Tinkaton.

Tinkaton’s method of selecting materials is straightforward; it uses its hammer to smash them. Through this method, it can judge the quality of the materials.

After selecting suitable materials, this Tinkaton also returned to the forge and joined the Tinkaton learning group. Their learning will still take some time.

Their innate talent in forging will greatly shorten their learning cycle, but it cannot be mastered at a glance; it always takes a period of time.

Yamato temporarily lost her weapon, but she realized this was a unique opportunity.

...

”Hmm? What did you say?”

”My Akan has broken, and the Tinkaton are still learning to forge, so I don’t have a weapon right now. It seems I won’t be able to train with you, father. It’s such a pity.”

To her, this seemed like a chance to take a leave. Yamato, Jack, Maria, Setsuna, Olga—they can be considered the early students and second-generation students of Kaidou. Reaching their level, physical training is no longer meaningful.

Moreover, they don’t need Kaidou for physical training. Kaidou is not as effective as weight blocks in this regard. They actively train themselves; Kaidou’s contribution is more significant in actual combat, like his extended teachings on Thundering Hakken and the practice of Haki.

Yamato mostly challenged High-Level Officials, but occasionally Kaidou would give her surprise inspections or extra training.

The damage to Akan 6.0 gave her an excuse to rest.

”Huhu, what a nice excuse...”

Hearing this, Kaidou tossed Hassaikai in his hand a few times, then set the Wolf Fang Club aside.

”Do you think it’s reasonable too, father? Then I...”

Swish!

A few strands of hair fell as Kaidou’s fingers extended green glowing claws—Dragon Claws, and at this moment, the claw blades deeply embedded themselves into the ground in front of Yamato.

”Whoa! Are you trying to kill me?!”

”How could that be? As long as you have one breath left, your foster father can bring you back to life. It seems you have a slight problem; losing your weapon and you don’t know how to fight?”

”No... I didn’t mean that. What I meant was...”

”No more nonsense. Until your weapon is repaired, I won’t use any weapons either. The body of a Zoan is the greatest weapon; you must learn to harness the power of this Mythical Beast.

”I think you might have misunderstood something, father...”

Seeing Kaidou simultaneously unleash Haki, Devil Fruit, and the abilities granted by Arceus, Yamato had an extremely bad premonition.

”There is no misunderstanding. Enemies won’t stop attacking just because you have no weapon, so come train your fists and feet. This lesson is to use your fists to execute Thundering Hakken. Rest assured, I will give it my all, including the strength of your foster father.”

Yamato’s excuse for leave offered Kaidou a perfect opportunity. Without a weapon, they would engage in hand-to-hand combat. There are many ways to train combat, providing her with a new subject.

Kaidou indeed didn’t use weapons, but the fitted Dragon Claws on his hands made his destructive power even more terrifying, and Yamato once again found herself in the position of being overwhelmingly beaten.

She wasn’t incapable of fighting without a weapon; before Kaidou used weapons, he was beating her with fists. However, it was her first time dealing with Dragon Claws.

Quickly, she was forced into a corner of the training arena. Facing Kaidou’s swinging Dragon Claws, a Protect barrier rapidly opened in front of her.

”Oh? You can already use Protect proficiently? Seems like you haven’t been slacking lately.”

The Dragon Claws were blocked by the barrier, and Kaidou gave Yamato a degree of praise.

”Yes, so father, what I meant to express is...”

She just wanted to find an excuse to take a leave. The various things given to her by Arceus now had a side effect; she didn’t even have a reason to call in sick because her physique simply wouldn’t get sick.

But before she finished her words, she noticed the familiar purple waves emanating from Kaidou’s body.

”Wait!! Dragon Dance??!!”

”Didn’t I say I would give it my all? Yamato, Protect has its limits. It can provide stronger defense but is based on your own strength. You’re still far from there!”

Crack.. Crack... Crack!

After enduring for a few seconds, the enhanced Kaidou shattered the barrier Yamato made and stepped closer to her.

The enhanced Kaidou was essentially crushing Yamato;, she spent most of her time on the run, and her counterattacks rarely had any effect. From time to time, cries for help echoed from the training arena.

However, everyone was used to it and had no intention of approaching, lest they bring trouble upon themselves.

”Is this the ’daughter’ the lord values so highly? Naive suits you, Zekrom.”

”Idealism is not naivety. She still has a long way to go, but she has room for growth. It is this kind of ’blank slate’ that can grow, isn’t it?”

”.....”
