Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 630: Chapter 629: Sea King x2

With a dull thud, Jinbe’s fist struck Hody’s chest like a chisel. The immense force shot through his chest, causing Hody’s blood to almost ”boil” under Jinbe’s punch.

”Uwaa...”

A large amount of blood spewed from Hody’s mouth, and the hand gripping Jinbe’s head gradually lost its strength.

”Fishman Karate is a power summarized by our predecessors, a power acquired through years of diligent practice, whereas the power gained from drugs is nothing at all.”

Hody slowly collapsed to the ground. If it were his usual self, that punch from Jinbe would have knocked him out, but the effects of the Poison were still present, keeping Hody awake.

His pupils turned white, and his whites of the eyes became bloodshot and red, showing that the poison was affecting Hody more deeply.

”Not enough, still not enough...”

Hody grabbed another handful of the poison and threw it into his mouth. The poison could double a person’s strength, and the effect could stack indefinitely, turning strength into infinite power if one disregarded the body’s limitations.

If twice the strength isn’t enough, then four times, if four times isn’t enough, then eight times. Hody didn’t believe he could lose to this unimpressive blue fat man before him — why is this Fishman, who believes in humans, so strong?

”Fishman Karate: 4000 Tile True Kick!”

As Hody tried to continue drugging himself, Jinbe had already kicked him in the head. In Fishman Karate, tiles are used as a unit of measure, and the higher the number, the more tiles that can be broken with one hit or kick.

A 4000-tile kick meant the force could break 4000 tiles stacked together in one go. The kick landed squarely on Hody’s head, sending him rolling like a gourd, crashing through several corals, and finally embedding him into the rock wall.

The poison he carried scattered all over, and Pierman curiously picked up a few pills and put them in his pocket, thinking Queen might be interested in them.

Though Hody, even after taking the drug, appeared a weakling in front of Jinbe, the fact that it allowed someone, an insignificant fish, to withstand a punch from a Seven Warlord of the Sea without losing consciousness suggested the drug had some research value.

Pierman had no idea of the drug’s side effects, but based on its current performance, it seemed impressive.

”Ignoring one’s own strength to indulge in external objects, there’s no way I could be defeated by someone like you!”

Jinbe rushed toward the spot where Hody landed, but he didn’t deliver another punch because Hody, embedded in the rocks, had already lost consciousness.

Then Jinbe pulled him out from the rock wall. The enhanced power had strengthened his physique; otherwise, he couldn’t have endured it. This was why the poison brought immense pain when it reached its limit and could even cause the body to explode.

The enhanced physique prevented him from becoming fish cake, keeping him a complete Fishman. Then Jinbe walked over to Ah Long and kicked his shoulder gently.

”Ah Long, are you alright?”

”Yeah... I’m fine. What about that bastard Hody?”

”It’s already taken care of. Let’s go back, at least this guy deserves lifetime imprisonment.”

”Lifetime imprisonment? This guy tried to kill Princess Otohime and is a dangerous element wanting to kill fellow Fishmen. Just imprisonment for that?”

”Ah Long, the Dragon Palace Kingdom is a nation; it has its laws...”

”Boom! Roar!”

As Jinbe was about to explain the law to Ah Long, a sudden thunderous sound erupted from the original venue, accompanied by terrifying roars from the distant sea.

The group quickened their pace back, with Hody slung over Jinbe’s shoulder.

...

At the wedding venue, Mandfeish had transformed back into his dragon form, and the thunder Jinbe and his companions heard was caused by Mandfeish. As Murphy would say, whatever you fear most is more likely to happen.

Hody had his own comrades on Fishman Street, and under Hody’s influence, they all became extremists on Fishman Island, which was Hody’s second plan.

If Hody hadn’t succeeded by the end of the wedding, it indicated something had gone wrong on his side, prompting them to launch another operation.

It wasn’t just a few of them acting; they managed to involve some Fishmen from Fishman Street in their plot, sparking this ”coup” on Fishman Island.

Not even Tiger could stop them. The extremists, high on poison, acted like madmen, launching indiscriminate attacks.

Tiger’s fighting style was always close combat, but given the circumstances, his combat prowess was limited. Although he could take them down one punch at a time, their numbers were overwhelming.

Reluctantly, Mandfeish launched his wide-range attack. Gyarados’ attack covered a vast area, and after a storm of lightning, the scene fell silent.

”Sorry Rushaka, it seems it messed up.”

”It’s okay; I should be the one apologizing. There are still so many... extremists on Fishman Island, but what is really going on here?”

”I’m not sure. Let’s treat the wounded first, and we should figure it out then.”

With both Tiger and Mandfeish, along with Neptune leading the Sea King Army, their rebellion was swiftly quelled.

Tiger dealt with the leaders, Mandfeish quickly cleared the lower ranks, and the Sea King Army handled the aftermath. Few ordinary residents were injured, and the worst injured was Otohime.

Thanks to the Bubble Coral, the Merfolk and Fishmen moved in more directions, preventing trampling.

Otohime wasn’t attacked; with Mandfeish nearby, he wouldn’t let anyone harm her.

Unfortunately, her constitution was too fragile. During the chaos, she stood on a high platform, urging everyone not to be afraid, but accidentally fell, breaking her frail leg like glass. Doctors were now treating her.

Meanwhile, Otohime was comforting Shirahoshi. Her children were all brought to the wedding, but seeing such chaos for the first time, and Otohime’s leg injury, Shirahoshi cried out in fear.

It usually wouldn’t matter if someone cried, but Shirahoshi was the Sea King of this generation, and her tears of fear stirred the power in her blood, awakening the giant Sea King Types deep in the ocean, hence the roars heard by Jinbe and the others.

Several massive shadows already loomed over Fishman Island, and the monstrous heads were just outside the Bubble Film, confused due to the ”King’s” aura and another mysterious one.

That equally familiar yet strange feeling didn’t belong to their ”King” but to Manaphy, who had stayed on Fishman Island and was now floating above the Bubble Film, trying to stop them from approaching further.
