Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 620: Chapter 619: There Are No Pirates Here; The One Before You Isn’t a Pirate at All

The Imperial Court Guards are the General’s personal guards from Wano Kuni, naturally accompanying the General on outings.

Only Greninja could understand Tesoro’s gestures and swiftly whisk away Kozuki Hiyori.

After about a minute, Denjiro, Kawamatsu, Kikunojo, and other ninjas from the Imperial Court Guards caught up, while ordinary attendants were still waiting in place, unable to react.

Devoted to his duty, although Greninja’s task was surveillance, he would ensure the safety of Kozuki Hiyori unless instructed otherwise.

”General Hiyori, this is not Wano Kuni, you must be cautious about certain matters here.”

”Why... why does that person want to kill another out of the blue?”

”Because he is a Heavenly Celestial Dragon, that’s the rule of the outside world. They are even more capricious than pirates, and everything they do is completely legal.”

Greninja’s understanding of the outside world far surpassed the native people of Wano Kuni, even though he had never left Wano Kuni himself, he had other channels for information.

”It seems that person has set his eyes on you, so, General Hiyori, take a rest for now. The Heavenly Celestial Dragons won’t stay long, and you can resume other activities once they leave.”

This was information he had just received from Tesoro. These two Heavenly Celestial Dragons were just making a superficial appearance here, with no slave auctions or attractions, their interest had significantly waned, and they would be leaving soon.

To prevent any unexpected incidents, he suggested Hiyori wait before reappearing.

Both Tesoro and Greninja were aware of Hundred Beasts’ current policy; if the Celestial Dragons caused any trouble, they couldn’t compromise. Even if Hiyori was just a puppet, any issues would be a great embarrassment for Hundred Beasts.

At that point, their only option would be to strike against the Celestial Dragons. The people accompanying the Celestial Dragons couldn’t stop the Hundred Beasts, which could lead to an early outbreak of war, so they opted to mitigate the risk and expedite the departure of the Celestial Dragons.

After Greninja objectively explained what the Heavenly Celestial Dragons were, Kozuki Hiyori chose to heed his advice, as she was accustomed to such situations.

Between King and Greninja, their words were suggestions, but there was seldom room for her to argue. Comparatively, she preferred interacting with Greninja since his speech wasn’t as cold as King’s and was even quite amusing.

This relates to a tidbit of trivia; owing to his tongue, all Greninjas spoke with a lisp, rendering their voices unable to sound cold.

To prevent the Celestial Dragons from stirring up trouble, Tesoro postponed some large-scale events by a day. Although some visitors expressed dissatisfaction, the offer of a day’s free lodging and meals swayed them to accept.

However, minor conflicts arose between the Navy and CP9 during this period.

When the Celestial Dragons entered the VIP room, the accompanying Navy personnel began to enjoy themselves here, inadvertently clashing with others. Soon, they spotted King’s figure.

His towering figure and black leather garb made King highly conspicuous. Among the Navy were both slackers like Kizaru and workhorses like Akainu, and this contingent included such a workhorse.

Upon spotting King, their initial thought was to capture him, but before they could contact reinforcements via Radio Snail, someone seized their arms—none other than Rob Lucci.

”What are you doing?”

”I should be the one asking you. This is a demilitarized zone designated by the World Government. Without orders, you can’t engage in combat. On what grounds are you taking action here?”

”That’s an 800 million bounty criminal. Are you blind?”

”Sorry, I haven’t seen any pirates. I only know the World Government doesn’t permit anyone to act here willy-nilly.”

CP mechanisms are directly under the World Government. Strictly speaking, they stand equal to the Navy as a specialized agency, and numerous individuals in both organizations mutually disdain each other.

For Lucci, World Government’s orders are absolute, regardless of the opponent’s identity.

”That’s a pirate...”

”That’s not up to you; if the World Government declares no pirates here, there are no pirates. If you act, you’re contravening World Government’s orders, and I have the authority to stop you.”

For a brief moment, tensions rose between the Navy and CP. Compared to those regular Navy, CP9 candidates were of superior ability. However, at this instance, the Navy’s commanding officer arrived on the scene.

”Vice Admiral Tokikake, there’s...”

”Yeah, I know. Don’t be so tense, superior officer. Today, there’s no pirate, no criminal here. Just enjoy life and don’t be so uptight.”

A man in wooden sandals with a slightly sleazy face, hands in his pockets, strolled over, easing the atmosphere somewhat.

Vice Admiral Tokikake from Navy Headquarters, a former Admiral Candidate in the original timeline, codename Chaton.

At this current timeline, neither Aokiji nor the others had become Admirals, so Tokikake wasn’t in line for an Admiral Candidate position nor had a codename, just an ordinary Headquarter Vice Admiral.

He’s not a radical and usually complies with World Government’s directives. Since they issued such orders, he wouldn’t stir trouble and even comforted the Navy soldiers.

Then, squinting eyes fixed on Lucci, a pressure fell upon him.

”However, CP boy, we’re not your subordinates. Don’t go bossing Navy soldiers around lightly.”

He said while leading the Navy away, as for King, they pretended he was just someone who happened to look exactly like a wanted criminal. Before departure, Sengoku had elucidated the ship’s uniqueness and specifically instructed him against action.

At the casino, things unfolded just as Arceus anticipated. Yamato decided to try her luck here - no one on Ghost Island dared gamble with her. The outcome, win or lose, was hard to handle.

Spotting their target, the casino staff naturally notified the manager Bacarat. Although young, her Luck-Luck Fruit ability reigned supreme here.

Originally, their plan was to let Yamato taste some success before orchestrating a losing streak, eventually revealing the casino’s methods to her. However, Yamato hadn’t won a single round from the start; instead, her opponent kept winning consecutively.

”Is this your arrangement?”

”No, it’s not us. It seems Yamato is gambling evens and odds against a blind person. She’s lost 17 rounds straight so far. Miss Baccarat, the dealer signaled us—what should we do next?”
