Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 642: Chapter 641: Natives of Water 7

The forging talent of the Tinkaton is incredibly strong. The techniques and crafts that others spend half of their lives mastering were completely mastered by the Tinkaton in just a few months. Not only do they not seem like beginners, but they also appear as if they have decades of experience like seasoned masters.

Building on this foundation, the Tinkaton have even made their own innovations.

Within the forge, there are different factions. Depending on the heritage, each has its own master, and they all believe their own school is the strongest.

Now, any school not learned by the Tinkaton is automatically considered inferior craftsmanship.

These skills are the family’s heritage, and were not intended to be taught outside the family. Only those recognized by the master could learn the essence, and stealing skills by outsiders was a major taboo.

If the Hundred Beasts sent someone to learn, it wouldn’t be this smooth, but the Tinkaton are not humans, which solved many problems.

Since Pokémon in Wano Kuni have mostly become Grass Gods, various industries are hopeful for their Grass Gods to arrive soon.

Finding a suitable inheritor is also a troublesome issue, but the emergence of the Tinkaton is a new hope for them.

For them, having human crafts recognized by the gods is the highest achievement. Not only do they not reject the Tinkaton’s observational learning, but they also actively impart everything they know, teaching the Tinkaton their crafts.

Dong!

Dong!

Dong!

A series of muffled sounds emanate from the center of the forge. Five Tinkaton take turns wielding their large hammers. Kozuki, Fugetsu, Uzuki, Shimotsuki, Kurozumi, each family has its own artisans, and various techniques have emerged.

Although these families have now become common surnames, artisans with inherited skills are still given attention, and many famed swords are crafted by these families’ artisans.

Shusui, Enma, Ame no Habakiri, Wado Ichimonji are all such examples.

Now those crafts have been elevated in the hands of the Tinkaton.

Every time the Tinkaton swings a hammer, they must rest for a while before swinging again. Even the ground trembles constantly under their strikes. This is the Tinkaton’s exclusive move - Gigaton Hammer, tremendously powerful, but cannot be used consecutively.

Currently, they are preparing by forging metal billets. With their unique skills and innate abilities, even without using a forge, they can hammer out unwanted impurities.

”Don’t blink, make sure you watch closely. That’s divine craftsmanship. If you learn that forging technique, you’re sure to become renowned artisans in the future!”

A bald man with a pipe patted the shoulder of a disciple next to him. They were also observing and learning the Tinkaton’s craft, hoping to understand something from it and thereby create better works.

Right now, they are just preparing materials and still have a while before the actual forging begins.

However, the loud noises are coming not only from the forge but also from a nearby mining site.

These are not mining sounds, but sounds of sparring. Sasaki is currently clashing with Aggron, honing his defense power.

He’s already past his internship, and technically could transfer, but he volunteered to stay here to spar with Aggron during his free time.

Though he loves Kaido’s teachings, Kaido doesn’t have the time to spar with him daily. Most of the time, he has to find practice partners himself, and Aggron is his best sparring choice.

As a Pokémon, it doesn’t have as many tasks as others. Most of the time, it’s free, allowing Sasaki to practice at will.

”Hey, Sasaki! Stop training, Lord Kaido and Lord Arceus are looking for you. Hurry to Ghost Island!”

After another bout of sparring ended, Babanuki found Sasaki and delivered the new orders.

”Captain Kaido and the others are looking for me?”

”It’s likely a mission, quickly go.”

”Got it.”

Being a part of them for quite some time, Sasaki has already figured out the internal workings of the Hundred Beasts Pirates. Although he remains a fervent fan of Kaido, he also understands what Arceus represents here.

Loyal over the years, it’s natural he receives some missions.

...

”Lord Kaido, Lord Arceus, I have arrived. Is there a task for me?”

”Sasaki, you were born in Water Seven, correct?”

Kaido picked up a file from the table beside him, looking at the details. It was Sasaki’s identity profile. All the members of the Hundred Beasts have a similar World Certificate document with self-filled information.

The main concern of the Hundred Beasts is whether someone is an imposter. Other information is not particularly emphasized. Before action, they would confirm details again.

Some people can’t figure out the names of their birthplace islands, so they follow the trend and write whatever island name.

”Yes, how does this relate to anything?”

All the data he entered was genuine, so there was nothing to hide.

”Recently there’s a mission in Water Seven. Since you were born there, you might be more familiar with it. Well, you can handle it.”

”Understood.”

”We have people over there. Once you arrive, someone will brief you on the specifics. Ask her for details.”

Having received the mission, Sasaki quickly left Ghost Island by ship. His task was not complicated, merely resolving some minor issues while helping to gather some information there.

.....

Water Seven, one of the important islands on the Grand Line. If Ohara is the Holy Land of archaeology, then Water Seven is the Holy Land of shipbuilding. It is home to many excellent shipwrights and has birthed many famous ships.

Roger’s Golden Jackson was born here, and many miraculous sea constructions, like the Sea Train, and Pluto, the King of the Underworld are here as well.

It was the shipwrights who built one of the Ancient Weapons, the super battleship.

Recently, a woman arrived here, the contact person Kaido and Arceus mentioned earlier—Nico Robin.

She arrived here not long after leaving Ghost Island last time.

Not one with a stable goal, this time, she followed leads regarding historical information pointing to Water Seven, coming here to investigate the information.

With her abundant work experience, she successfully joined a local shipbuilding company as a temporary accountant. However, while she was gathering more information, a large number of CP Agents suddenly arrived on the island.

The World Government agents made her suspect something might be hidden here, and Tesoro also requested her assistance with certain matters in Water Seven. Thus, needing sufficient force for deterrence, she borrowed a person from Ghost Island...
