Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 546: Chapter 545: The New Grass God and Queen’s Substitute Toxic Strategy

The local residents quickly got used to the presence of the Combee. Although their appearance was somewhat odd, with precedents like Miltank among the Pokemon, they were no longer seen as strange.

As long as no one stole honey or attacked them, due to the orders of Arceus, they were mostly friendly towards humans. Just a few months after they appeared, Wano Kuni already had tablets and small shrines for them.

Currently, the largest religious organizations in Wano Kuni are two: one is the Arceus Sect led by Misu, and the other is the Arceus Shrine created by the locals.

As for the original gods, under the influence of pragmatism, only a few stubborn people still remembered them.

Large shrines have their torii gates, but local culture in Wano Kuni has led to an overflow of deities; generally speaking, anything here can be a god. Those beneficial to people are gods, and those that harm people for no reason are demons.

This has affected their offering modes, with some gods having just a statue by the roadside.

Their faith is also related to their industries: those skilled in animal husbandry worship Miltank and Tauros, those who like to harvest wool worship Mareep, while swordsmiths worship Aggron.

In daily life, Aggron’s shell also sheds regularly, which has become one of Wano Kuni’s rarest materials.

Seastone, Wine Iron Ore, Aggron alloy, Arceus Steel, these are the favorite materials of Wano Kuni swordsmiths today, and the first two can be purchased through registration.

The Hundred Beasts have not banned their circulation within the country, but you must register how much you buy, what you intend to make, how much is consumed, and the final product; otherwise, it’s a criminal act.

The latter can only be obtained through rewards and has become a dream metal in their eyes.

It’s common for patients to worship Pokemon like Chansey and Audino, and for Ringo residents to worship Carkol, but currently, Pokemon have not ventured into every industry.

So many people hope that Pokemon related to their industry will appear, as it almost means the rise of that industry.

The appearance of Combee has indeed elevated the status of domestic beekeepers, but there are also those who are friendly to all Pokemon, like Kentaro’s family.

”Come back early, Squirtle.”

”Squirtle, Squirtle.”

A Squirtle carrying onigiri left this place. Each region of Wano Kuni has different weather; now, Ringo is still covered in snow, but Kuri has already begun spring planting.

Although Kentaro became the head of the local exchange station due to discovering the Human-Human Fruit - Onyudo Form, his family still has quite a bit of farmland. Since the crops being planted this time were quite drought-prone, they sought a Squirtle’s help.

This Squirtle was one he knew from his youth. Now, he has a family, and his child is already two years old, but the Squirtle has not shown any signs of aging.

This is true for most Pokemon; their lifespans are generally long, but this trait is particularly prominent in Squirtle.

Even the daily training of Geodude has smoothed a lot of its edges, but Squirtle maintained its youthful appearance, making Kentaro further appreciate the passage of time.

Perhaps because of this, Squirtle has become the most worshipped god of longevity by people.

”Yuichi, this is Miltank, a good friend of Daddy’s.”

Holding his child, Kentaro came to the place where Miltank usually basked in the sun, introducing the Pokemon here to his child like old friends.

Compared to the quiet and peaceful Peach Blossom Spring Farm, Yamato was working hard for Larvitar’s future.

Although Kaidou’s training was the most effective, he needed Yamato to adapt to more combat styles, so he left Yamato with a small goal first.

Whether intrigue or frontal assault, as long as she could defeat a Disaster Level officer, she would earn her trial’s reward early, which was to move an island back for Larvitar to eat.

Zeraora, King, Olga, Queen, Shaina, these were her five choices, and some others could exert such combat power in explosive states, like Setsuna, Mandfeish, Greninja, but those were very special cases.

These five were people who could exert Disaster Level power in their normal state, so the five choices dilemma was placed before Yamato.

Shaina and Zeraora were ruled out first. Due to Arceus’s influence, these two were the friendliest to her, but she knew well that Kaidou could do this, and Arceus must have agreed.

With Arceus’s guidance, Shaina and Zeraora were the least likely to go easy on her.

King and Olga’s abilities were particularly troublesome, and although Olga couldn’t fly, Yamato’s Observation Haki wasn’t yet at the level to counter Olga’s illusions.

Illusions weren’t her only ability but were the thing she excelled at most.

Furthermore, Dark Type skills are complex, leading to Olga having many varied skills even without Elizabeth assisting her; she’s no easy opponent, and Yamato doesn’t have Borsalino’s speed.

As for King, his displayed power is equally strong. Occasionally, he might leave Wano Kuni with Kaidou’s orders but soon returns here smoothly and resumes his duty as the General’s private retainer.

Through elimination, the only option left was Queen. Although his bounty was the most exaggerated, based on displayed combat power, he was the weakest.

Thus, Queen became Yamato’s first battle target.

In battle, Yamato could let Larvitar assist her, but other Pokemon couldn’t, intended to specially train Larvitar’s combat power; aside from eating dirt, it still needed battle for growth.

The wild opponents for Larvitar were mountain beasts and Pokemon, and now naturally it became Queen.

Kaidou already told him that if he was defeated by Yamato, he’d prepare a month’s special training for him, and if he was found to go easy, there’d be no supply of bananas and mochi red bean soup for half a year, completely eliminating the possibility of making it easy for her.

To avoid entering hell, to protect his stomach, he had no choice but to challenge Yamato.

Thus, that day, Yamato learned firsthand about an annoying opponent and understood that Queen could hold his place among the Three Disaster for a reason.

Facing a stationary cannon using an unconventional substitute poison strategy greatly hindered Yamato’s performance. She wanted to face Queen head-on, but to be safe, Queen stayed well-hidden, and under the interference of Leech Seed, Protect, and Plague Bomb, her battle was extremely frustrating.
