Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 508: Chapter 507: Muk and the Mantis Fruit

Platinum Lead disease is a type of heavy metal poisoning, and heavy metal poisoning is not the same concept as ordinary poisoning. That’s why Alola Muk was chosen in the first place, as it is known to handle such situations, and there was no need to try other methods.

Shaina isn’t a Pokemon Professor, she doesn’t have a Pokedex in her head, and this is the way she thought of to handle Rami’s aftereffects problem.

Most people don’t have the privilege to actively choose their abilities, they don’t even know exactly how many they have, and for the vast majority, they don’t have the right to choose their abilities.

Animal body enhancements and mythical beast abilities, it is already a blessing to gain abilities. Comparatively, the impact on appearance is not very serious. For example, Scotch looks quite bizarre after being transformed, but he still enjoys it.

Moreover, Alola Muk is also very special. Its body is originally like a product of sludge, so its ability manifestation is different from other Pokemon. Compared to the Zoan type, its manifestation is more like Logia-type.

It can even be regarded as a poisonous Swamp-Swamp Fruit, with its body being able to enter a poisonous sludge state any time, immune to physical attacks and able to release lethal toxins simultaneously.

Countless toxins have already mutated within Muk’s body, and except for the specialized antidote made from berries, there is no specific cure for this toxin from the outside world.

Furthermore, Alola Muk, unlike regular Muk, does not emit an unpleasant odor.

At Shaina’s request, Arceus agreed to this requirement.

”Bring the people in, they’ve been waiting outside long enough.”

The presence of two living people was not something he could ignore, but for some reason, Misu’s appearance gave him an unsettling feeling.

Even though she didn’t articulate any embarrassing dogma, this fanatic’s behavior was quite different compared to Shaina, sometimes he couldn’t comprehend the mindset of this religious person.

And Misu, who came here, had long expressed her purpose to Shaina. She wanted to witness the process of Arceus granting abilities and then preserve it in a painting, as a future mural for the church.

Compared to the preliminary form of the previous monastery, the current monastery is undergoing reconstruction, and the design was submitted by Misu herself. It wasn’t until that day that Shaina learned that Misu was actually a famous designer and painter of the original church.

The New Monastery has now largely been built, all that’s left are these decorations. Although Misu, through descriptions and her experiences in Wano Kuni, has already painted a lot of content, such as the Eight Million Grass God Pokemon, Holy Flames of Apocalypse, but there is still a lack of content showcasing the glory.

Without a doubt, the process of granting abilities is the best display of all this.

The process of Arceus granting abilities is not a secret, and almost all the internal members of the Hundred Beasts have witnessed that moment, which is also their goal to strive for, so Shaina did not bother to report such a trivial matter to Arceus separately.

Led by Misu, Rami came here and performed a slightly complex ritual according to the arrangements of the Arceus Sect. Rami’s movements were skilled, showing that she had remembered these actions by heart.

For her, who had lost her memory, Misu lied, claiming to be her biological mother. Her initial purpose was to make Rami forget everything about Freyvans, but as a fanatic, she naturally had some biases in teaching.

At this moment, Rami doesn’t have as many white spots on her body as Law, but one can see some small freckle-like spots.

”Lord, your glory spreads across The Sea, your faithful followers long for your mercy. Please grant Misu the ability to cure the disease, I will continue to strive to spread your gospel...”

”Stop, Shaina has already told me, your efforts can earn Rami that power.”

He had become accustomed to titles of respect, but he could not get used to such Bible-like words. If it weren’t for the fact that spreading this faith facilitated the search for Plates, he might be the first to reform this sect.

But there are also benefits, although some prayers made him uncomfortable, as a professional religious person, she was much more professional in evangelizing than Shaina.

As per Shaina’s request, the ability chosen was the Alola Mud Form, and the granting process went smoothly, but Arceus always felt that Misu’s eyes were sparkling, if there were special effects, her eyes would have already turned into star shapes.

...

”Have her maintain the transformed state of an Ability User. If she persistently does it every day for a period of time, the things inside her will soon be decomposed and digested.”

The transformation of the Zoan type has always been the most basic ability, even people who are not specialized in combat can master it. What’s more, Rami is not a person who is powerless, she is Law’s biological sister, sharing the same blood.

Although bloodline isn’t absolute, for example, a daughter of a certain Oden doesn’t have much talent, but there is at least a possibility. Misu did not let Rami do nothing, but cultivated her in a specific direction, as she might become a member of the Inquisition.

However, the current Arceus Sect does not have this institution, at most, just a Church Knight.

After being transformed, Rami did not exhibit the bizarre artistic style like Scotch but rather developed a fairytale-like style. This style is actually closer to the BIG MOM Pirates than the Hundred Beasts Pirates.

Though her pupils and oral cavity took on strange colors, her body didn’t undergo much change, except that her hair slightly appeared in a melted form, with her sleeves and skirt trailing on the ground as if melting, filled with colorful stripes.

And those toxin crystals are distributed on the body like pendants, and she has already understood how to use this ability. Then came the same prayer as Misu, before leaving here with her.

”Shaina, what you wanted before has been set aside for you, the rest is up to you to deal with, I’m going out for a while.”

”Yes, do you need me to accompany you?”

”No need, just focus on your own tasks.”

It is the same familiar path of searching for Plates. The Origin continued to sail toward unfamiliar seas, while Shaina also obtained the thing Arceus mentioned.

A modified Devil Fruit, specifically, the modified form of the Bug-Bug Fruit - Mantis form, found back then. This fruit was what she asked for on Iscariot’s behalf.

The modified fruit and granted abilities differ significantly, for instance, the ability doesn’t need to be granted in person, can be preserved in advance, and allows faster familiarization or development of powers.

The power brought by Mega and Dynamax is equally strong, but they still differ from Awakening, and the fruit’s Awakening has its own advantages, it is not without merits.
