Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 512: Chapter 511: Nightmare God - Darkrai

Originally, Arceus intended for those guys to open the passage to leave. This is not a world for the living, and he had no interest in staying here. However, those guys actually wanted to silence him permanently, and given that, they couldn’t blame him for using violent means.

In the end, although he left that place, those beings chose to flee out of fear after witnessing Arceus’s power.

Provoking first and then wanting to escape after realizing they were no match was not a feasible plan with Arceus.

However, the Netherworld isn’t an ordinary island; it’s everywhere yet traceable to nowhere. Finding the true entrance to the Netherworld isn’t easy, so he needed to create a special envoy to search for that place. He had all the time to slowly play with them.

A black sphere gradually expanded, eventually forming a humanoid shadow-like creature.

White hair covered most of its face, leaving only a pair of bright blue eyes exposed.

A red serrated tie wrapped around its neck, with long strips of black torn cloth hanging from each shoulder.

Its arms consisted of purely black claws, incredibly dark, yet no one doubted their power. At this moment, it floated in mid-air, giving the surrounding pirates a sense of inexplicable panic.

Dark Attribute Phantom Pokemon, Dark Pokemon - Darkrai, also known as the Nightmare God.

”Darkrai, following your will.”

At the position of his non-existent legs, shadows formed two black legs for Darkrai, done solely to show his loyalty by making a posture of submission.

Eldest son Zeraora, second son Manaphy, and, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh sons, and after five original Genesects, Darkrai could only rank as the eighth in the Arceus family.

After all, quite a few Genesects were created back then; even though there are seven complete ones, GT-2 and Yamato’s small Genesect are female, and the remaining five are assumed to be male.

”Go, find where those guys are, and bring back their location.”

”Yes, sir.”

Like a black hole’s distortion, Darkrai vanished in front of everyone; he had set out following Arceus’s command to find the Netherworld.

Although there was a Brook who had been to the Netherworld in the Devil’s Triangle, he currently didn’t have the ability for his soul to leave his body, so even finding him wouldn’t lead to the Netherworld’s entrance.

It’s more reliable to count on Perona’s Negative Ghosts now.

In a sense, the Netherworld is everywhere because it’s the soul realm belonging to the deceased. Although omnipresent, its two-way gateway is singular.

It’s not a place the living can enter wilfully. Darkrai’s power is unique, but he’s a living Pokemon, not a deceased ghost; entering there requires some exploration.

After Darkrai left, the color of the Dread Plate dimmed considerably.

Darkrai is not a Divine Beast but belongs to the category of Phantom Beasts, and like them, his numbers aren’t unique, and there are significant individual differences. This Darkrai carries a heavy responsibility and is relatively strong within the Darkrai group. The Dread Plate has transferred a lot of energy to him.

”Navigator, where are we now?”

Arceus then called the navigator from earlier. In that environment, losing direction was normal, but if they couldn’t find their way now, they could replace the Origin’s crew.

By estimating the amplitude of the log pose’s oscillation, he quickly determined the ship’s specific location, and the Origin continued its voyage along the pre-set course.

After leaving the Netherworld Realm, their position hadn’t changed much, still in the waters of the West Sea, with only slight changes.

After re-charting the course, the Origin continued its voyage. Meanwhile, some onboard were treating the frostbite caused by the Netherworld’s chill and began artistically embellishing Arceus’s previous actions.

Even though they were direct witnesses, the descriptions grew more exaggerated, especially among those who had experienced Misu’s missionary behavior and grew seemingly more faithful.

They appeared to be jotting things down in little notebooks, all part of completing the Arceus Sect’s scriptures.

Although pirates typically had low average cultural knowledge, this included a lot of grunts. Within the Hundred Beasts, while the cultural level wasn’t exceptional, becoming a small head required basic literacy.

Verbally conveyed orders easily morphed; most directives to subsidiary territories were written. Without the ability to read, they couldn’t execute tasks from above.

Even though it’s a bit of an inappropriate expression, even Yamato now knew all but the rarest characters.

Therefore, the chroniclers not only artistically enhanced the events, but their handwriting was beautiful. Once embellished by Misu, the tale would become far more mystical.

...

The Origin’s return journey was still long. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Grand Line in the North Sea, Rosinante continued seeking treatment with Law. With the Hundred Beasts Fruit Company’s press conference, the truth about Platinum Lead disease has been revealed.

At this moment, Platinum Lead disease was no longer a feared contagious disease, but a regular Platinum Lead disease, neither shunned by hospitals nor met with hostility from doctors. After all, the Hundred Beasts Product’s conference was very clear.

And the medicine had indeed shown targeted effects on Platinum Lead during in vitro experiments, leading to another consequence.

Before this, Platinum Lead disease was incurable, so the Hundred Beasts’ announcement was viewed as the only treatment option. No matter which hospital they visited, the treatment plan remained the same—recommendation to use the Hundred Beasts Fruit Company’s drugs.

As for saying it didn’t work, the doctors considered it an individual difference; seeing successful cases up front, they could accept that medications don’t suit everyone.

However, Rosinante hadn’t given up. It had been quite some time since leaving the Donquixote Clan, and they had visited many hospitals across the North Sea, but for him, hope still remained.

”Don’t worry, Law. At least the medicine stabilizes your condition, time is on your side, hang in there a bit longer; if all else fails, there’s still one last option...”

He was under Sengoku’s direct command, and the nun identity was confirmed, Misu was indeed Misu herself, indicating they internally had a way.

If the hospitals could not provide any solutions, he could try approaching the Hundred Beasts Fruit Company or even the Hundred Beasts Pirates behind it. But the Fruit Company was on the Red Earth Continent, and the Pirates in the New World; given his current status, accomplishing this wasn’t easy.
