Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 528: Chapter 527: Showdown at the Summit

The reason Morgans took it upon himself is quite simple. Although great rewards attract the brave, one must be alive to spend money. Broadcasting this battle live could indeed bring huge profits, and making a name in the news industry is not impossible.

But it’s too dangerous; no one dares to engage in such a terrifying thing, so ultimately, Morgans decided to go live himself.

Finally, Morgans reached a certain exchange of interests with the Hundred Beasts, gaining a battlefield reporter seat in exchange for some intelligence.

Although Morgans appears to be the least profitable person in the Underworld, in fact, he holds a lot of confidential information, which is very important for a news agency. Timeliness is extremely important.

Moreover, the World Government also arranges for him to periodically release some information, which can even influence the rise and fall of an industry. The platinum lead incident from years ago is an example.

”Zeraora, go by yourself and bring that guy over. Be careful, don’t let him die.”

With the great battle imminent, they didn’t have time to wait for Morgans alone, or by the time he arrived, Whitebeard would already be there. Being late for such an agreed battle would be unacceptable.

”Lord Arceus, shouldn’t we call them back?”

The only exception among the mythical creatures, Zeraora never calls Arceus ’master’ in public, a privilege of his special status as the eldest son.

The people he referred to as ’those few’ are his ’younger brothers and sisters.’ In his view, they could return to Wano Kuni from the outer seas at this time.

”There’s no need. They aren’t required here. Besides, let’s give Queen some face; after all, he is the ’Plague Disaster.’

As a guard among the main forces, Queen has no problem defending the island. Moreover, it is not only mythical creatures that exist at sea. Although their variety is not large now, their numbers have grown more than ample.

”Understood.”

Zeraora then proceeded in the direction where Morgans was located. Although Morgans would take the headquarters of the World Economic News Agency and run after doing some big things, after the winds calmed, he would reappear in everyone’s sight.

With Zeraora leaving first, Kaidou also took his men to the destination. Their appointed battle site was at the edge of the Windless Zone, a distance from both territories, which required considering the battle’s aftermath.

...

Some time later, a disheveled Morgans was brought aboard the Hundred Beasts’ ship. Despite being an Albatross Fruit user, Morgans couldn’t fly, and in a hurry, they couldn’t just sit leisurely on a boat, so Zeraora carried Morgans over.

Even though that flight speed was within his tolerance, his feathers were blown into disarray. Still, thanks to Zeraora, Morgans experienced the feeling of flying.

”Stop!”

When there was still a considerable distance to the destination, Kaidou ordered the two ships to stop.

”Brother Kaidou, we are still far from the destination, aren’t we?”

”We’re far, but this is about right. If we continue, you won’t be able to handle the battle’s aftermath.”

In The Sea, Whitebeard’s ability can easily trigger tsunamis. Going further would risk the ships’ safety, as tsunamis don’t discern whose ships they are. Therefore, Kaidou didn’t plan to let them go further.

”Mr. Kaidou, don’t worry about this. Lord Sacred Beast is prepared.”

Shaina said, stroking the heads of two Lapras beside her, which were their means to protect the ships from tsunamis.

”Hmm, he has really prepared well, but this is about enough here. Shaina, you and Olga stay here, King, you and Zeraora come with me.”

”Understood.”

Subsequently, Kaidou transformed into a Cyan Dragon and flew into the sky. King followed closely, ascending as well, while on another ship, Zeraora, who got the message, flew up with Morgans. Meanwhile, Yamato stood on top of her Genosect and followed along.

Though this Genosect was a mini version, it had no issue serving as a flying tool.

Meanwhile, the Moby Dick also stopped in a nearby sea area, even farther from Kaidou’s ship.

”Dad, are we stopping here?”

”Going further would be dangerous. Alright, sons, wait for me here until I return!”

With those words, Whitebeard jumped off the ship’s side. Unlike Kaidou, although the Quake-Quake Fruit granted powerful destructive force, it did not inherently provide flying ability. Flying over was impossible.

So Whitebeard chose to run across, using a method similar to Moonwalk to charge towards the target island in the sky.

While Moonwalk is a special body technique mastered by the World Government and Navy, it is merely about pushing the body to its limits. For a high-level powerhouse like Whitebeard, even if unaware of similar techniques, watching a few times is enough to achieve it through explosive strength.

The air almost became Whitebeard’s stepping stone, while Marco followed him with fiery wings. The Whitebeard Pirates also had very few members with flying abilities, besides him, only Namur jumped into the water to follow along.

Though unable to fly, the Fishman Race’s ability to traverse the seabed was useful at this time.

Whitebeard’s method of moving couldn’t sustain long air time, but it was sufficient for short-distance travel.

In the end, the flying Kaidou was the first to reach the island. The island was barren, with nothing but rocks in sight, perfectly meeting his needs.

”Yamato.”

”Hm?”

”Watch closely. You will soon understand why I say the things you experienced were just child’s play.”

With that, Kaidou landed on the island in advance, while Yamato and Morgans remained hovering above the island. Whitebeard didn’t keep them waiting for long. A few minutes later, both King and Zeraora looked into the distance, and even Yamato sensed something.

It was an undisguised aura, making Morgans feel his feathers stand on end. Though he saw nothing, fear spread throughout his heart.

His fingers started to tremble, yet he excitedly removed the lens cap.

”Big news! A rare major news of a world-class showdown!”

Soon, a figure appeared in everyone’s sight. At his peak state, Whitebeard was even faster than Marco. The cold gleams on Murakumogiri needed no concealment, arriving at the island with Whitebeard in an instant.

”Kaidou, you brat arrived early!”

Murakumogiri drew a crescent moon in the sky, cutting straight towards Kaidou’s face. Kaidou appeared defenseless, but he had already entered his battle state. Amidst his wild laughter, the Hassaikai and Murakumogiri collided in a new clash.
