Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 506: Chapter 505: I Think You’re a Fake Kaidou

The World Government is downplaying the Void Century, but the remnants of the Giant Kingdom during that time continue to influence the development of future generations. Ancient times were not necessarily backward; they might have been highly advanced super-ancient civilizations.

Queen started haunting the library for his future, and Yamato smoothly returned to Ghost Island.

”Foster father, look! We brought back the fruits!”

Yamato came in holding two fruits as if expecting praise, like a child seeking approval.

”Well done. Did anything interesting happen along the way?”

Appropriate recognition and praise are beneficial for the development of enthusiasm. As Yamato gets older, in a few more years, she might be able to venture out on her own. Given her luck, finding a Plate wouldn’t be surprising.

”Not much. We watched a movie starring Big Brother Tesoro and saw some interesting combat suits. But I don’t know where those annoying guys in white suits came from. Right, foster father, how are GT-9 and GT-10 doing?”

”They’ve long been repaired. You don’t need to worry about that.”

The spare bodies for Genosect have always been stored in the warehouse. Those two self-destructing Genosect returned to Ghost Island ahead of time and have already switched to new bodies.

Meanwhile, the Hundred Beasts are also probing the details of the Kogia Kingdom from the Underworld. How that team from CP0 ended up there is a serious issue.

Although the royal family of Kogia is highly suspicious, without concrete evidence, they won’t take action. Leaking client information and targeting clients is taboo in the Underworld.

But investigating the World Government’s secret intelligence is rather laborious, and there’s been little success so far.

”By the way, take this; I’ll leave the task of raising it to you.”

A giant egg, over a meter high, appeared in front of Yamato. This was something just recently created, also part of the Hundred Beasts’ giant soldier plan.

The giant Serperior from Sky Island and the Emboar from Wano Kuni are currently the only Pokémon with oversized physiques that don’t require Dynamaxing.

But apart from them, there are no new members for the time being. This giant egg is one of the new members, but due to its growth model, Arceus created a giant egg.

Unlike Elizabeth’s previous egg, which had patterns, this egg is very smooth and uniformly presents a stone-like blue-green hue.

Yamato is now almost 15. Girls grow faster than boys when they’re young, so this over-a-meter egg only reached her waist.

The Power of the Evergreen allows her to feel the fetal movement inside the eggshell, but this life hasn’t grown to a point where it can respond to her yet.

”Foster Father, what’s inside?”

”You’ll know once you hatch it. This is a wonderful child.”

Here, Arceus kept a secret and didn’t tell Yamato exactly which Pokémon is in the egg, but it didn’t stop her from excitedly carrying it back to her room.

”Diancie, are you there? How about making a stand for me? We’re going to have a new partner soon.”

She couldn’t find a suitable place to store the egg for a while but found Diancie. With her ability to create diamonds, which is almost a cheat, she could create anything in any shape she wanted.

”No problem. It’s simple.”

With the help of Diancie and her personal Genosect, a brand new nest was created. Smeargle even painted it a new color, effectively crafting a new home for this future partner.

”By the way, where are Jack and Maria? Are they still in training?”

”Maria is probably with Miss Riko on Flower Street, and Jack went out to hone himself at sea. Ulti and Page One should be above.”

Diancie pointed toward the direction of the ceiling, which Yamato understood to mean that Ulti and Page One were undergoing someone’s harsh training. But Yamato didn’t hear any noise, indicating that the training wasn’t on the roof but on an upper level training ground on Sky Island.

Without bothering the Thousand-Year Dragon resting, Yamato chose to climb up the vines herself this time.

As she got closer to the training ground, she heard a familiar scream. The sound was somewhat reminiscent to her because she went through the same thing years ago.

Although she’s still not free from hardship, with Kaidou allowing her to set sail, she has gained a slight bit of power to resist, giving her a sense of being a survivor.

The screaming didn’t last long, indicating that Kaidou’s training was temporarily halted. When she climbed up, she happened to see Ulti and Page One lying on the Island Cloud.

”Little Ulti, Little Page, I’m back!”

Usually, Ulti would vehemently protest the nickname and would retort, ”Don’t call me Little Ulti! Only I can call him Little Page!”

But this time, there was nothing. From Ulti’s eyes, Yamato saw a different look, as if she was eagerly expecting her return.

Indeed, that was the case. Ulti never thought she’d miss Yamato so much someday.

Yamato had been out with Queen for almost half a year, and since Jack and Maria were getting older, they began training on their own initiative. Iscariot and Perona didn’t require Kaidou’s personal training because of their lower talents.

In that scenario, Kaidou’s main attention was on Ulti and Page One. To make his friend’s offspring stronger, they experienced firsthand what Kaidou’s specialized training felt like.

In addition, Ulti’s usual tough talk made the past half year quite ”enjoyable” for them. Previously, Kaidou said they’d only get a break when Yamato returned, making Yamato a lifeline for Ulti.

With the last of her energy squeezed out, she dragged Yamato directly in front of Kaidou.

”Hey! Your own biological daughter is back. Go bother her! Little Page, let’s go!”

Saying so, she grabbed Page One and jumped straight off the Island Cloud. According to Page One’s feedback, he should still have his flying ability, and hearing no pursuit from Kaidou, Ulti’s excited voice echoed back up.

Watching Ulti run away, Yamato suddenly realized she might have unwittingly delivered herself.

”Heh, looks like those two little ones aren’t at their limits yet. I can adjust the intensity.”

Kaidou said, slightly menacingly, as he walked over to Yamato, but contrary to her expectation, he merely placed a large hand on Yamato’s head.

”You did well this time.”

At the same time, a Wanted Poster floated down in front of her, but all Kaidou received was Yamato’s suspicious gaze.
