Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 519: Chapter 518: Reinforcements and Izou

According to the different intelligence received, the manpower sent by the Hundred Beasts for external support will also vary. They will only send one strong enough person, rather than having a high-level official handle everything.

From King’s expression, this was initially someone else’s task, but now it was assigned to her. Plundering spoils was her favorite thing, and it also proved that the bottle of rum she bought with her last wages was not wasted.

”Alright, let me see where you are.”

Drake’s eyes were filled with electric light, and the walls of the Flower Capital Palace began to turn transparent. The busy silhouettes of people started to appear in her sight.

The scolding Hotei, King, who was entertaining himself with facial expressions, and the tool-like Hiyori. One by one, the figures flashed through her sight, and soon the target she was searching for—Kikunojo—appeared in her vision, seemingly still in the bath.

Licking her lips, Drake headed towards the palace’s bath.

As a household attendant of the Kozuki Family, they enjoyed two separate bathrooms. The maid at the door saw it was Drake arriving and directly stepped aside, allowing Drake to walk in.

Indeed, Kikunojo’s bathroom was marked female, which was why the three of them needed two separate bathrooms. Many female members of the Hundred Beasts did not have politically correct notions.

Drake barged in boldly, but the scene was unexpectedly calm. A man who considered himself a woman, and a woman whose personality was more masculine than any man. Thus, their meeting in the women’s bath had no ripples.

”Ah Kiku, it’s time to go. Get ready to carry out the mission with me. Don’t worry, it’s just a small task this time, nothing like a suicide squad. Of course, if you are willing to cooperate, I can make it a bit easier for you.”

”No need, I will prepare and join the gathering shortly.”

Under Oden’s strong brainwashing, these people remained loyal to the Kozuki Family. However, due to Kozuki Hiyori, they were forced to provide strength to the Hundred Beasts and undertake dangerous, life-threatening tasks.

However, their strength also improved in battle, which was unavoidable. They still held on to their vow to protect the Kozuki Family and chose this path to continue being by Hiyori’s side.

The mission’s danger entirely depended on which member of the Hundred Beasts led the team. With friendly relations, they only carried out regular tasks, but encountering those with vile tempers meant a grim situation.

Due to his face, Kikunojo lived relatively easier, especially when Drake took him out on missions, despite facing a certain degree of harassment.

Especially after Drake acquired the abilities of Luxray, he couldn’t escape even if he wanted to.

However, this time Drake didn’t leave immediately or continue to harass him. Instead, she said to him, ”You lot are still as stubborn as ever.”

”What are you talking about?”

”Don’t think you’re smart, and don’t think I’m a fool. Everyone can see through your thoughts, but Boss Kaidou still has some interest in your strength. You’d better change before he loses interest.

Kozuki will forever remain in history. Neither Lord Kaidou nor Lord Arceus is someone you can deal with. Over time, they will only become more terrifying.”

Time is fair; everyone grows. As a talented monster-like Kaidou, the changes in his body over the years are the real qualitative leap.

”Although I joined the Hundred Beasts after that big battle, I’ve heard from Brother King about those times. Twenty years, back then, you weren’t their match. Twenty years later, you’ll lose even worse. That’s all I have to say; you better think it over.”

With that, Drake left. She still had to gather her subordinates to support the Outer Island. If Kikunojo remains stubborn, she couldn’t do anything but pity that face.

Drake’s words made Kikunojo pause slightly. They also witnessed the changes in Wano Kuni. It had been nearly eight years since that great battle, and many in Wano Kuni had already forgotten about the Kozuki Family.

When that twenty years finally comes....

This was something they had been avoiding, and the terrifying vision for them, Kikunojo dared not think further, just preparing to reluctantly participate in the opposing side’s battle.

On the other hand, Drake also arrived at the dock, where the Hundred Beasts’ warships were docked. As the deputy of a big board, she had her own exclusive ship.

”Long time no see, old buddy.”

This ship was relatively large among pirate ships, but it was smaller compared to the Origin and the Hundred Beasts King. It was her original pirate ship, which had gone through a series of modifications after joining the Hundred Beasts to become what it is today.

”Captain, we’re here!”

Led by her former old subordinates, a support team of three hundred was ready and waiting. This number seemed small, but it was sufficient in this world.

The invaders they faced were at most an alliance formed by several pirate groups, along with the local troops, which were enough.

Besides, the Navy’s large warships only carried about 800-1000 people at full, and this number was considerable among pirate groups. From what was known, the Whitebeard Pirates at their peak, including all affiliated pirate groups, only reached fifty thousand people.

Just then, amidst the support personnel, Drake encountered someone unexpected.

”Emmalyn? Why are you here too?”

”This support mission was originally mine. Did you come here on purpose? Taking over my task right after I paid off my debt?”

”Well...I just mentioned it to Brother King, I didn’t know it was your task, really. Don’t worry, I’ll split my share of the spoils with you.”

”Heh, if you can keep your money for three days, I’ll concede. I didn’t come to argue with you; I’m here to let this girl see some blood.”

As she spoke, Emmalyn pushed Iscariot forward. The task change was due to some agreements between King and Shaina, but the original plan was to have Emmalyn bring Iscariot along for some practice. After familiarizing herself with her abilities for so long, she needed some real combat.

”Got it, leave it to me. I’ll bring this girl back in one piece for you.”

After waiting for a while longer, Kikunojo arrived wearing a demon mask. Due to his appearance and personality, he wasn’t intimidating, so to solve this issue, he wore an evil spirit mask during battles.

With Kikunojo’s arrival, Drake’s Golden Deer also sailed out of Ghost Island. Meanwhile, another group was also supporting this battlefield, led by a pirate dressed in clothes similar to Wano Kuni’s style, whose name was Izou, Kikunojo’s elder brother.
