Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 526: Chapter 525: Stay Out of My Fight

At the time, the Hundred Beasts were still developing. If he had really brought both Roger and Whitebeard at the same time, to protect the foundation he’d just built, he would definitely take people to evacuate from there first.

Otherwise, he and Arceus wouldn’t lose, but the Hundred Beasts might.

Now, he’s not afraid of full-scale war, but the subsequent issues with the World Government and Navy would be a big headache. His forces are still not enough to drag the Red Earth Continent into war.

Moreover, battles in the Pirate World are essentially top-tier confrontations. As long as he can win against Whitebeard, the outcome of the battle would be more or less certain.

”Pops, let’s go to Wano Kuni!”

”Yeah, pops, we can’t let that guy run wild like this!”

The news of Oden’s death came from Kaidou. Why is Oden’s daughter acting as the general? What happened to his son and wife? What exactly happened back then? These are the things they want to find out.

As for the Kurozumi mentioned by Kaidou, they didn’t believe it, especially after hearing from Izou that Kurozumi Orochi was just an ordinary servant. In their hearts, the powerful Oden wouldn’t die to such base means.

”No, head towards here. I will handle this personally.”

However, after much thought, Whitebeard refused his sons’ proposal. If Oden were still alive, Whitebeard would attack Wano Kuni at all costs. His family is important, and he could accept making some sacrifices to rescue them.

The premise is that his family is still alive. The brief skirmish had already made him realize Kaidou’s change in strength. He’s not an opponent he can easily deal with, and with Wano Kuni’s terrain, attacking there would result in huge casualties.

To let more sons sacrifice themselves for dead family members without guaranteed results, he wouldn’t do such a thing.

Moreover, he also knows that the World Government and Navy are always looking for opportunities; a bloodbath between both sides is not in their interest. Kaidou’s challenge suit him well; as long as he defeats Kaidou, everything would become simple.

So, he threw out the Eternal Pose left by Kaidou and issued his command.

”Pops, could it be a trap? After all, it’s a place chosen by the enemy...”

”Gurarara, silly son, am I afraid of such a trap? Besides, that guy wouldn’t do such a thing. But have everyone prepare; once I win, we’ll head to Wano Kuni.”

”Yes!”

The Whitebeard Pirates set off directly to the destination, while Kaidou first flew back to Wano Kuni after a few days.

”I’ve agreed with Whitebeard on a place for the decisive battle. Although it’s not full-scale war, I still have to take some people with me. During this time, I’m leaving Wano Kuni in your hands. Those guys won’t be quiet after they get the news.”

Kaidou explained some matters to Arceus. This is also the reason why those great pirates avoid total war. No one can be sure if they’ll get stabbed in the back while they’re fighting.

Having a suitable person to guard their territory is extremely important, so Kaidou entrusted this matter to Arceus.

”Don’t worry, no one can invade here.”

”King, Shaina, Zeraora, Olga, I’ll just take these four. Also... Yamato! Get ready to witness what the world’s top forces are like!”

Kaidou shouted in one direction, having already sensed Yamato’s location.

However, at this time, Kaidou’s Radio Snail rang. As Kaidou picked up the Radio Snail, Charlotte Linlin’s image appeared on the snail’s face.

”Maa-maa, maa-maa, Kaidou, I heard you’re about to fight Whitebeard.”

”Where did you get this news from?”

”It’s all over The Sea already. Haven’t you read today’s newspaper? Let’s not talk about that. Kaidou, do you want to join forces with me? Together, we can kill that Whitebeard guy, and then you and I can equally divide the entire New World!”

Listening to the voice on the Radio Snail, Kaidou was not delighted but instead felt a surge of anger in his heart.

”Linlin.”

”Hmm?”

”This is my fight alone. If you dare to intervene, I’ll kill you first!”

The other side of the Radio Snail fell silent for a moment, and then Charlotte Linlin’s voice turned low.

”Kaidou, do you know what you’re saying?”

”I’m very clear, but Linlin, don’t get involved in my fight, understood?!”

”Maa-maa~ Since that’s the case, forget it then.”

Saying this, she directly hung up the Radio Snail. She understood Kaidou; since he really said it, if she insisted on intervening, he might indeed attack her first. The two share some camaraderie, but the premise is not to cross each other’s line.

Kaidou is a martial artist type; he doesn’t like his battles being interfered by outsiders, especially this kind of arranged duel.

Even in the original timeline, Kaidou was still like this. Because of Kurozumi Higurashi’s interference, Kozuki Oden got hit in the back of the head, but after that, Kaidou killed Kurozumi Higurashi because she interfered with his battle.

Even if she didn’t interfere, Kaidou might not necessarily lose. Although Kozuki Oden left him with an indelible scar, he hadn’t used his strongest Zoan Human-Beast Form.

Considering the Zoan’s recovery power, as long as he could enter a war of attrition, he wouldn’t lose.

Even the Kaidou from the original timeline had this thought, let alone the enhanced version here. He can run alone to Whitebeard’s ship to issue a challenge, naturally not wanting others to interfere. Bringing those subordinates is just to prevent certain situations.

”There’s a bit of a change in plans; you need to be wary of that old hag Linlin. That crazy woman might also do something else.”

After hanging up, Kaidou added another item for Arceus to be careful about. While the two share some dealings, they can’t fully trust each other.

”Got it, do as you wish, but don’t end up failing.”

”Ughahahaha, how could it be? I’m not who I used to be...”

....

In the direction where Kaidou had just spoken, Yamato and others were gathered, studying the newspaper in front of them.

Hundred Beasts VS Whitebeard

The showdown between the strongest creature and the strongest man!

Morgans’s newspaper once again devoted an entire section to describe this matter. However, this time he lacked firsthand information, even the photos were cut and pieced together from old ones, but it still looked pretty convincing.

”Yamato, remember to record it. I also want to see Captain Kaidou’s heroic stance with my own eyes.”

”Yeah, Captain Kaidou’s battle with Whitebeard, just thinking about it is exciting.”

Maria and Jack were both reminding Yamato to record the scene at the time. Kaidou had no intention of taking them along, but at this moment, Ulti’s words reminded them.

”Instead of counting on her not to forget, you’d better just talk to Rotom.”

Although these words had a hint of sarcasm, Maria and Jack exchanged looks and felt that Ulti had a point.
