Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 530: Chapter 529: Dragon Dance Hakken

Yamato stared blankly at the scene above her, naturally attracting Morgans’ attention. As he too looked towards the collapsing sky, he could no longer hide his excitement. He couldn’t think of a photo more suitable for a cover than this.

Morgans was only here to take photos; broadcasting such an event was impossible for him, or else the World Government would come after him. Publishing it in the newspaper afterward was already the limit of their tolerance. Broadcasting such an event to showcase the power of the two pirates would be crossing the line.

So now, the only place broadcasting this battle live is Ghost Island.

”Rotom, hang in there!”

”I’m trying, Rotom!”

Stabilizing the camera under such a massive impact was a difficult task. Although Rotom’s camera could capture the battle scenes, it was extremely unstable, and the shaking of the camera was enough to make the viewers dizzy.

Due to the live broadcast, the howling wind also transmitted to Wano Kuni through Rotom. Thus, no one complained about the camera’s condition. Even just by listening, they could imagine how terrifying the scene was.

Aside from the pirates guarding the coastline, the members of the Hundred Beasts in Wano Kuni were watching the firsthand battlefield situation brought by Yamato. The power that Kaidou displayed was already causing their blood to boil, especially since it was their captain doing this.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Okiku was also dragged by Drake to watch the live broadcast of the battlefield in the palace of the Flower Capital.

”Okiku, do you understand what kind of enemy you’re up against? That’s Kaidou, and what you’ve seen is only a part of it. Give up; that’s an impossible fantasy. No, it’s a delusion.”

Things that have the potential to come true are called dreams; those that are unlikely are fantasies. Wanting to defeat the Hundred Beasts in the future is nothing but a delusion, Drake couldn’t think of another word to describe it.

He even pinched Okiku’s cheeks to make him look in the direction of Kozuki Hiyori. Even these adult samurai would be astonished, let alone Kozuki Hiyori, who had never seen the world.

The terrifying scene of the falling sky was deeply imprinted in her mind, planting a seed of fear that took root and sprouted in her heart.

People from a distance could only experience the terror of the scene through such means. However, the windstorm wasn’t deadly. Those daring to stay and watch had their abilities; only Morgans seemed a bit out of place.

In their view, the most deadly aftermath of this confrontation was the tsunami.

The tsunami triggered by the shockwave of the Quake-Quake Fruit was already surging outward, affecting both the Moby Dick and the Hundred Beasts King.

The Moby Dick was farther away, and as Whitebeard’s flagship, it was designed to handle tsunamis.

”Grab onto something nearby! Pops is angry!”

Jozu personally held the helm, and it wasn’t easy to grasp it under the surging tsunami. The bow of the Moby Dick rose and fell within the waves, evading the oncoming surge without disaster.

On the Hundred Beasts King, however, the tsunami was more violent. After all, Whitebeard needed to be cautious when exerting his power. Although he couldn’t prevent the Moby Dick from avoiding risks, he could at least minimize the impact.

But it was different for the Hundred Beasts King. Gazing at the apocalyptic tsunami, even they couldn’t help but feel a little panicked.

”Lapras, it’s up to you.”

Shaina patted the two Lapras beside her before they both jumped into the water in succession.

”Moo-yi!”

As Lapras let out a melodious cry, their bodies gradually grew larger, and the Dynamax Lapras appeared here.

Then two Ice Beams shot from their mouths, not like in the game where the Dynamax move can only be used a few times, but rather the Dynamax version of Ice Beam.

The terrifying waves gradually froze under the influence of the Dynamax Lapras, finally breaking into ice shards and falling into the Sea.

The aftermath of Whitebeard’s attack had already been considered by Arceus; otherwise, he wouldn’t have specially brought Lapras along.

...

”Kaidou, you seem to have acquired some incredible skills. That’s quite an impressive ability.”

Of course, Whitebeard knew whether his attack had an effect. That mysterious barrier actually blocked his attack. If it was also part of his fruit’s ability, then Kaidou’s power was indeed overwhelming.

Though he said the ability was impressive, Whitebeard didn’t hold back. After his initial attack failed, he smoothly turned and swung the Murakumogiri towards Kaidou’s neck again.

After one failed strike, he launched a second. If that didn’t work, he would try again. No barrier was invulnerable indefinitely; he didn’t believe Kaidou was truly impregnable.

But Kaidou wasn’t the type to just stand there and take hits. While Bide was powerful, its greatest drawback was that it couldn’t be used consecutively.

Using the momentum from Whitebeard’s kick, Kaidou lunged forward, placing his hands on the ground to swing his body.

”Agni Dragon Dance Hakken!”

Many people obtained Pokemon skills, but ordinary ones would just fire skills from a standstill, following conventional methods.

Those with some talent developed their usage based on the characteristics of the skills, and these were the ordinary Numberers.

Those with greater talent integrated the skills into their combat habits and developed additional abilities based on Pokemon attributes, which was what the elite officers achieved.

When it came to Kaidou, not only did he fully master those skills, but he also developed entirely new skills based on their properties!

Scorching Dragon Flame enveloped his body, especially on his tail where the fire burned more intensely, while his body swayed slightly, indicating his use of Dragon Dance.

At this moment, he used his body as an axis, wielding his dragon tail like a Wolf Fang Club, and powerful Haki surrounded the flames as his tail lashed onto Whitebeard’s chest at a speed far surpassing before.

Thud!

Even though Whitebeard’s body was also coated with Haki, this blow still produced a muffled sound.

Although struck by Kaidou, Whitebeard’s attack didn’t stop. His Murakumogiri descended, leaving a trail of sparks on the dragon scales of Kaidou’s shoulder.

The hard dragon scales and powerful Haki prevented him from breaking through, but the force had already penetrated him. Whether it was Kaidou or Whitebeard, they both wielded top-tier Armament, making it impossible to completely nullify the other’s damage when hit.

”That hurt, Newgate, you old guy are still as fearsome as before.”

While Kaidou complained of the pain, he had already picked up the Wolf Fang Club again, striking towards Whitebeard. Whitebeard also noticed Kaidou’s anomaly; compared to just now, his assault had become fiercer, elevating both in terms of attack and speed.

”Scared? Then just admit defeat! Newgate!”

”What a joke! I’m Whitebeard!”

Boom! Destructive waves emanated from the island, causing the Sea and sky to boil once more...
