Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 505: Chapter 504: ”Electric Fishing” and Queen’s Tutoring

Although the form of the ability-transformed Scotch is quite peculiar, it cannot overshadow the advantages in this state. At this moment, he resembles a small flying fortress, unloading firepower with abandon downward.

The secondary brain is responsible for aiming and charging, while his primary brain refines the combat details.

The accuracy of thunder strikes on a rainy day is already much higher than on a clear day. With the augmentation of locking skills, the hard-to-hit electromagnetic cannon has also been greatly enhanced, and Scotch’s primary target with the electromagnetic cannon is not people, but ships.

In maritime combat, destroying the enemy’s ships first gives a flying individual the upper hand. These people can slice through shells but cannot slice through his electromagnetic cannon made of electric current.

For these ordinary people who haven’t mastered Armament Haki, the moment their blades touch the electromagnetic cannon, a powerful current spreads along the blade to their bodies.

Boom! Boom!

After two loud explosions, their ship bore two large holes through which seawater began to pour into the cabin. This ship, carrying the dreams of a group of newcomers, had its mission ended prematurely.

The people on board were trying to save the ship, but it was futile. The high-speed electromagnetic cannon had already inflicted unrepairable damage on the ship’s hull, and Scotch’s attention was also focused on their Captain.

This man, capable of unleashing Flying Slashes, is the only one who might threaten him. Although he is a cyborg, he still retains a large number of human organs. If he were to pierce his blade through the eye slit, it could still pose a certain threat to him.

The secondary brain brought by the Magneton essentially gave him a fire control system, and his right arm’s revolver machine gun was constantly changing its targets.

The ordinary crew members couldn’t attack Scotch; they couldn’t even get near him. Under such circumstances, their Captain still chose to close in on Scotch.

The power of a direct blade swing is much greater than that of a Flying Slash. The earlier Flying Slash already proved that his attack was ineffective, so under such circumstances, he had no other choice.

The opponent’s ability related to magnetic force was evident; those large magnets replacing his limbs were too noticeable. As he closed in on Scotch, he clearly noticed his sword becoming heavier and swinging it became incredibly laborious.

But being a Captain showed that his subordinates acknowledged his strength. Unlike the ordinary subordinates who couldn’t even swing their swords under Scotch’s influence, he could still barely control his blade.

Clang!

A flash of blade light passed through, and Scotch’s right arm’s gun barrel was severed, yet his blade continued its unyielding trajectory toward Scotch’s chest.

At the moment he severed the gun barrel, a trace of delight appeared on the Captain’s face, but when he saw Scotch’s mocking gaze, a bad premonition suddenly arose within him.

He suddenly sensed a tremendous force coming from his blade, and this time, it wasn’t repelling it but pulling it and his blade toward Scotch.

However, unlike the incident with the severed gun barrel, his weapon was now firmly locked onto Scotch’s chest, with a massive magnet positioned over his head.

”The gun barrel is the weakest part of my body. Did you think you could get close just because you’re strong?”

The Swordsman’s close-range slashing could make an attack more powerful, but for Scotch, the closer the distance, the stronger the magnetic force he could exert.

This Captain indeed had superior strength, but once close, his power wasn’t enough to break free from Scotch’s magnetic force.

As for his own safety, as long as he guarded the exposed parts, he had no fear that these newcomers could harm him. That was a new body infused with Arceus Steel, and he had absolute confidence in the power of Arceus.

”To be honest, your skills are far below those of the Samurai, although you’re quite promising among newcomers, but you’ve chosen the wrong opponent!”

He also acknowledged the strength of some Samurai in Wano Kuni, and the majority of the outer seas couldn’t compare to these formidable Samurai. As Scotch’s words fell, a strong current surged between the magnets.

Rumble!

A bolt of Thunderbolt struck toward Scotch. It was lightning induced by him, and for him, this kind of lightning couldn’t harm but could enhance his attack’s potency.

But for that Captain, the thunder descending from the sky combined with the current released by Scotch was a fatal attack.

...

As the clouds in the sky dispersed, there was no longer any trace of the pirate ship on the sea, leaving only a few fishing boats salvaging items. They were not fishing but rescuing people.

After enduring the double thunder strike, the Captain did not die but was severely wounded and unconscious, which piqued Scotch’s interest slightly. If troublemakers had a bit of strength, the pirates of the Hundred Beasts might view them with some esteem.

Such people were usually put under strict supervision; those willing to surrender were absorbed into the outer forces, while those unwilling were sent off to mine. They were now salvaging the people electrocuted by Scotch, occasionally scooping up a few fish.

These occurrences were merely everyday situations in the New World; every pirate with established territories faced such events, and even the civilians on the islands were accustomed to it.

”Is this your new body? It’s truly formidable.”

Looking at the faint white scars on Scotch’s body, Gable was somewhat envious of this physique.

”Of course, that is the power of Lord Arceus. I am NO.8. If I couldn’t even defend this place, I’d be letting Brother Kaidou and the others down.”

The invasion affected not just Scotch’s territory; Mandfeish had similarly dealt with a batch of newcomers. The difference was he left no captives, as his mood was quite sour from having his date disrupted.

Over on Ghost Island, after a long journey, Queen and Yamato had returned. To avoid Yamato tattling, Queen directly dashed off to the New Tree of Omniscience to consult some ancient texts.

After the materials from Ohara were transported back, he noticed their distinctiveness. They even recorded topics Vegapunk previously mentioned, making many studies much easier with these materials.

According to the original timeline, the books from Ohara would be taken by the giants to Elbaf, where Vegapunk would use his extraordinary talents to memorize the content, thereby rapidly advancing his research.

But now these books had been intercepted by the Hundred Beasts, causing Vegapunk’s research to slow down considerably. These materials were collected and organized by Ohara from relics worldwide.

Although the World Government also has some records, it wasn’t easy for Vegapunk to access these materials there.
