Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 350: Chapter 349: The Future of Hundred Beasts, Tesoro’s Development

After all, it was a walking egg, and even though she previously saw the whimsical Whimsicott floating by accidentally and Kaidou breathing fire in the sky, she hesitated for a moment when faced with the Pokemon Chansey. Eventually, she was dragged over by Chansey.

”Lucky~”

”Alright, I’ll get along well with her and eat all those things too.”

Though Yamato said so, Chansey seemed unconvinced by those words and placed some of the vegetables in front of her, looking determined not to leave until she ate them.

Under the watchful eyes of four Chansey, she directly lifted a bowl and poured the green vegetables into her mouth, swallowing them without much chewing. Only after confirming she had actually eaten the vegetables did Chansey leave.

”Ugh... I hate green peppers... Why does such food even exist?”

”They’re not so bad. The sweet taste is quite nice.”

”It’s obviously bitter. How did you taste sweetness from it?”

Hearing Maria’s description of the green pepper’s taste, Yamato was completely confused. She couldn’t understand why Maria could taste sweetness. Nonetheless, she turned her attention to Iscariot, brought by Chansey.

”Hello, I’m Yamato. She’s Maria, and he’s Jack.”

Yamato was the first to extend her hand to Iscariot for a handshake. After Iscariot introduced herself, Maria started patting her head. Though her physique was growing taller, she had a growing fondness for children, as if a motherly instinct had awakened early.

As Yamato and the others interacted with Iscariot, Queen received a new task from Arceus.

”How about it, can you manage it?”

”I should be able to, but... Lord Arceus, could you please describe your requirements again?”

Gazing at a rough sketch in front of him, Queen thought for a long time before voicing his opinion to Arceus because he really couldn’t make sense of the sketch. Designing from this would likely cause problems.

However, past experience taught him that pointing out issues with the drawing was a bad idea. Otherwise, he might find himself in trouble.

”Haven’t the cannons in your body already had their ammunition systems replaced?”

”Yes, your power indeed works well, much better than built-in ammo bays.”

”Based on the principle of Energy Ball release, set up an Energy Cannon using this type of energy activation and place it on a robot’s head. Is the description clear enough now?”

”I understand. Although it’s a bit challenging, it shouldn’t be a problem to develop it. But... Lord Arceus, how do you plan to operate this so-called robot?”

”You don’t need to worry about that; just create something close enough.”

Queen’s technical abilities are somewhat reliable. Not to mention the peculiar body modifications, Maria’s modified drugs are proof of his expertise.

Additionally, based on the weapon Maria used in the original timeline, Queen apparently has methods to let non-living objects consume Devil Fruits, and driving him hard always has its advantages.

What Arceus was asking him to create was a prototype of special war machines for future warfare considerations, belonging to the Beasts’ ”Peacekeeper” - Genesect. However, this was merely a draft.

Leaving with a new schedule, Queen had no choice but to push back his banana cultivation plan a bit. With requests from the boss, they had no other choice.

When the World Government absorbed MADS, he and Judge, on one hand, were not as important as Vegapunk and, on the other, chose to escape themselves.

Given Queen’s current situation, even if he doesn’t step out, his bounty might still soar. He desperately needed the Beasts’ flag to stand on more firmly.

Therefore, he took these tasks very seriously.

....

In front of Maria, whose maternal instincts were budding, and the naturally sociable Yamato, Iscariot quickly integrated into the team. However, her training hadn’t started yet, so for now, she was just watching the show with Robin.

Before this, she lived as an ordinary person, a state in which she couldn’t adapt to the intense training, so improving her physical fitness was the first step.

And so, time unwittingly slipped into late October.

At this time, in the northern area of the Beasts’ Pirate Crew’s occupied region, Didikur Island, Tesoro returned home.

From the time he met Yamato at Shampodi to now, nearly two years had passed, and during this time, he demonstrated his value and talent. He had climbed from the position of a store manager to the general manager of the northern region.

Now that he had found the right stage, Tesoro had already displayed his business acumen. Whether in social interactions or business negotiations, he became increasingly proficient after some time of learning.

In the original timeline, Tesoro managed to rise from being a runaway slave to become a financial giant controlling 20% of the world’s Belly. Though Stella’s death causing his breakdown contributed to this.

But now, he was motivated by a new goal, providing Stella a better future, and their lives were very fulfilling. Yet, because Tesoro became engrossed in his career and Stella started venturing into the star industry, they hadn’t planned on having children yet.

For a better tomorrow, he was striving with all his might.

With Hundred Beasts Fruit as a massive foundation and the Beasts’ Pirate Crew as the Pirate World’s backup, Tesoro developed much more smoothly than in the original timeline.

Those big shots above wouldn’t cause trouble if fed enough Belly, and the really troublesome ones were those little fish, but the Beasts’ Pirate Crew specialized in handling such small fry.

If someone was disrespectful or caused a disturbance, they would end up working at Hundred Beasts Mining. However, as the Beasts’ Pirate Crew didn’t have a company by that name, it meant being sent to dig mines.

As a regional manager with a code name, Tesoro held a quite significant standing within Hundred Beasts Fruit.

Currently, the operations within Hundred Beasts Fruit were becoming a bit complex, and he had prepared a report suggesting a split and restructuring to further clarify departmental duties, allowing more effective business management.

Straightening his suit and with a rose in his mouth, Tesoro opened his door in what he considered a dashing pose, maintaining this romantic aura even after two years.

”Stella, I’m back. Have you packed? We need to leave tonight.”

”Everything’s packed, and the gift is ready too, but does giving this really suit the occasion?”

”It should be suitable. I’ve never given a gift to a little girl, and Miss Yamato isn’t like most people either.”

As an important member of Hundred Beasts Fruit and someone Yamato personally brought in, Tesoro was eligible to attend Yamato’s birthday party...
