Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 343: Chapter 342: Queen’s Day of Tribulation

This is his secret plantation, the range is very small, mainly for mass production experiments of crops in the laboratory, as well as a place where he cultivates some food to satisfy his own appetite.

Belly’s bananas have expanded their planting scale through his cultivation, but there is still a big difference from the original version. As a sweet-loving gourmand, Queen has not given up on researching this aspect.

Although relying on the harvest trait, the native version on his chin has already reached three harvests a year, but this cannot satisfy him. On average, he can’t even get one per month, so he took time to create the plants here.

Whether it’s soil, fertilizer, or climate, everything here is superior to those in the outside plantation. According to theoretical data, the replication degree here would be higher.

Now it is August 1502, Wano Kuni has also ushered in the hottest time, and his bananas just happen to have matured.

Today, Yamato and the others are on holiday, he doesn’t have to teach, CP0 has also settled down, and in the absence of interference from Omanyte, he slept a little more than usual. When he was about to pick bananas, the footprints on the ground gave him a bad premonition.

”A pair of clogs...a big footprint, three females, one male...this combination....”

The shape and depth of the footprints can roughly estimate gender and age, though this world might have huge discrepancies.

These small footprints look more like those of four children, and Wano Kuni’s children would never run around to this place, he has flags planted outside, so those who came here are probably from inside the Hundred Beasts Great Pirate Gang.

Wearing clogs is rare among Hundred Beasts’ people, under Arceus’ care, Yamato wears other more fitting shoes, only Maria, as a native and with a mother from Wano Kuni, wears clogs.

A four-member group with Maria....

Queen’s bad premonition grew stronger, he then jogged into the plantation, sure enough, he saw Yamato and the others here, along with already barren banana trees.

At the same time, he heard devilish statements.

”Yamato, is it okay for us to do this? These bananas should belong to someone else, right.”

”It’s fine, the banana plantation isn’t here, it’s on the other side. These should be leftovers after transplanting, look around, there’s no one, surely they’re unwanted, better not waste them.

However, this feels tastier than outside, is it because it’s just ripened?”

Naturally ripened bananas taste far better than those picked early and ripened later, but even if Belly’s version of bananas has a longer shelf life, they still can’t wait for natural ripening due to transportation needs, they must be picked early.

Only those living near the place of origin can experience this naturally ripened taste.

”No, I think these bananas here are indeed sweeter than the ones outside.”

Jack also gave his evaluation, and when these comments reached Queen’s ears, he felt as if a knife was stabbing him.

”Eh? Uncle Queen, why are you here?”

”I....this is my plantation, you should be the one answering that.”

Queen’s words hid many emotions, disappointment, anger, helplessness. If it were outsiders, he’d surely throw them to labor reform in the mines, but the trouble is he seems unable to act on those here.

Leading the group visibly is Yamato, after all, it’s just a matter of bananas. If he gets mad due to this, he might be the one mining instead.

He’s feeling as if his graduation agriculture project got eaten, but the one eating it is the principal’s daughter.

”Did you guys...eat them all?” This is his experimental field, originally not much was planted, and Queen is aware of their appetites, Maria and Robin are still within the range of normal humans.

Though Maria eats more due to her physical exertion, it’s still within normal range. Jack and Yamato, however, are different, especially Yamato, her massive consumption requires more food to meet her body’s needs.

Even his few experimental seedlings might not be enough for them.

”No, there’s still one left over there, Uncle Queen, why are you crying?”

”Nothing, the sunlight is a bit bright.”

Even before Yamato and the others could ask why someone wearing sunglasses would be affected by the sunlight, Queen already dragged them out of the plantation.

”What’s planted here is very important, don’t randomly come here again.”

Saying that, he immediately shut the door, but Yamato seemed to hear some cries.

”Did we do something wrong?”

”Probably not, otherwise Uncle Queen would have directly said so, but he seems not to want us staying here. Let’s change place, there’s only half a day of holiday left.”

As the little ones shifted locations, Queen gazed at the last remaining seedling not knowing what to say, according to plan he could have had a feast, but now he can only taste it, for the next harvest it will take several months at least.

...

News in the newspaper is always faster than word of mouth, although Arceus has already returned to Ghost Island, several other ships are still exploring or returning, for instance, Shaina has already set on the journey back.

However, returning first is her Wanted Poster, some mysterious military photographer captured Shaina emerging undaunted from a sea of flames, the dark background coupled with her mask made it look as if he shot a hellish demon.

Dorlo became the Navy who heroically sacrificed fighting pirates, so Shaina naturally became that demon.

Moreover, after Morgans hyped up the appearance of the Sea Emperor earlier, the bounties of pirates under the three Great Pirate Gangs also rose to some extent.

Flame Blood-Shaina, bounty 580 million Belly.

”Village Slayer”, attacking the Navy Fleet, member of Hundred Beasts, under these triple boosts her bounty directly reached this number, even her title got changed.

”This Wanted Poster....doesn’t resemble Sister Shaina.” Looking at the newly issued Wanted Poster along with the newspaper, Yamato stared for a while, really not recognizing it as Shaina.

”Still, it looks a little alike, but how come Big Brother Mandfeish has no news.”

By now Robin has already returned to Sky Island, only three of them remain here, while Jack is worried about Mandfeish, he asked Yamato a question.

”Yamato, why do you only call Queen Uncle, clearly they are of the same generation.”

”Hmm...because Uncle Queen looks old, I guess.”

...

While Jack pondered why Mandfeish had no news yet, Mandfeish was also preparing to sail back, only the ones still in Paradise encountered some amusing events.

”Pierman, who’s that guy, he seems to have some skills.”

”Hold on boss, he should be a newcomer....”
