Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 349: Chapter 348: Bounsweet Juice, Chansey’s Authority

”A new companion? Great, has someone new finally arrived?”

It had been a while since Ghost Island had received new children. Well, not completely absent, but Kaidou definitely treated these children with differential treatment.

These children grew up either on the Outer Island or the mainland of Wano Kuni, and their training was quite ordinary.

Only those deemed worthy by him, those who could withstand hardship, would make it to Ghost Island to experience that hellish special life with Yamato.

Although he trained quite a few people, not everyone was worthy of his personal attention. Strictly speaking, Iscariot wasn’t exactly qualified either, but Shaina recognized her perseverance.

”Mr. Kaidou, is it a boy this time?”

Jack, also in a worn-out state, asked this question. Logically, stopping suddenly after vigorous exercise isn’t great, so Kaidou kindly made them swim another lap slowly, further exhausting them, almost making Jack sink.

Jack had reasons for asking this. Currently, his circle was full of girls, and even the Alcremie and Chansey were female. As the only male, he felt what it meant to be treated differently.

He needed a brother to share this pain, but Kaidou’s answer was destined to disappoint him.

”No, it’s a little girl.”

”I see...”

Jack suddenly felt that setting out to sea sooner might not be a bad thing; he could also bring back kids.

Next came the familiar routine: cleaning themselves in the bathhouse, followed by dining at Ghost Island’s grand cafeteria. Although special meals existed, they were mostly seen in the cafeteria.

A large number of hired chefs showcased their culinary skills here. Huge chunks of Sea Beast meat roasted to a golden-red color were served on the dining table, and expensive wagyu beef wasn’t uncommon either.

It’s not that there weren’t chefs from Wano Kuni, but they were assigned to handle appetizers and cold dishes. If they were in charge of main courses, not only would the chefs be exhausted, but the pirates would starve.

Humans have taken a long time to reach the top of the food chain thanks to technology. If these pirates ate greens every day, they’d go crazy. However, there were some vegetarians among the Hundred Beasts, maintaining their energy largely thanks to Poffin made from Berries.

Through some modifications, these Poffins became more palatable to humans while providing many nutritional elements.

However, at the serving counter, there was a unique installation, resembling a small swimming pool. Spring water from Wano Kuni was piped in, and inside were some moving Bounsweets.

With green leafy hats and red-white bodies, resembling mangosteen, these fruits from the Alola Region were at the bottom of the food chain — Pokemon Bounsweet.

The fragrance they emitted was an irresistible bait for all bird species. Their weakness enticed many bird Pokemon, becoming their prey.

Having appeared, they were also banned from entering Tottland.

Some humans in the Pokemon World have tasted Bounsweet, but their sweetness was excessive for humans, and its sweat diluted with water became an excellently proportioned mangosteen juice.

Most people opted for soaking Bounsweet in water, making it an inexhaustible resource.

However, the sweet-toothed members of the BIG MOM Pirates rarely cared if something was too sweet, and with Charlotte Linlin’s personality, she would likely eat Bounsweet raw.

So they also became restricted species, but Bounsweet’s sweat became a new product of the Hundred Beasts Fruit, marketed as an incredibly healthy concentrated juice, claiming just one drop produces an incredibly sweet juice.

Sterilized and vacuum-packed Bounsweet sweat is easy to store and transport, and now hotels worldwide, especially high-end buffet restaurants, are very fond of this product.

”Boun~”

”The temperature just right? You really like this temperature?”

”Boun~”

Yamato was warmly communicating with Bounsweets, a task quite effortless for her. The Bounsweets’ beverage station resembled a miniature indoor swimming pool.

Besides serving as a juice pool, it had a diving platform and other features. After pouring over half a cup of Bounsweet juice, Yamato began her own operation.

Her mouth curled into a smile, teeth turning sharp. At that moment, she entered Human-Beast Form, with an icy aura emanating from her hands. The juice began to crystallize, stirring with chopsticks, and a homemade slush emerged.

For Mythical Zoan users proficient enough, they could wield parts of their power without transforming, but Yamato’s training wasn’t enough yet.

To make such refined slush required entering this form. She then gestured to the Alcremie waiting in the restaurant, filling the remaining portion in the cup with cream.

”Would you like some slush?”

”Yes, please.”

”Thank you.”

Neither Jack nor Maria refused. There was no habit of drinking hot water in Wano Kuni, and they didn’t have one either — drinking more hot water wasn’t suitable here.

Additionally, the modified Okuchi no Makami granted Yamato strong cold resistance, so eating ice wasn’t a big deal. Maria held a cup with her hands, while Jack used his trunk-held plate.

As a Copperajah Fruit ability user, his trunk was like a third arm, so his primary requirement for his Fruit Ability was to flexibly use his trunk. Outside of training, he was encouraged to use his trunk as much as possible for daily tasks.

Writing, eating — it was all the same, which was why his plate had a fork on it. To make an elephant use chopsticks was a bit much.

Soon, their juices turned into slush, but when they sat down, a plate of broccoli and chinjao appeared before Yamato.

”Lucky!”

Suddenly, four Chanseys appeared on the adjacent chair, pointing stubby round hands at the vegetables. Even without the Power of the Evergreen, Maria and Jack understood what the Chanseys meant.

[No picky eating]

The Chanseys’ eyes scanned the table filled with fried and roasted foods. Apart from the mountain of meats, the only vegetables were the lettuce and tomato in the burgers, which were unacceptable for these four nannies.

Although these kids had grown, the Chanseys who raised them still maintained their authoritative nanny status.

After forcing a bowl of vegetables onto the table, the Chanseys brought out a little child from behind.

Emmalyn had brought her here and handed her over to the Chanseys despite Iscariot being mentally prepared at the time. But upon seeing the Chanseys, she was quite startled.
