Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 338: Chapter 337: The Hundred Beasts Tradition Continues

The flames spewed from the nozzle, and the ruins were completely enveloped by fire. During this time, he naturally encountered real pirates, but Dorlo was not just talk. Besides the flamethrower he carried, his body techniques also performed strongly against these pirates.

At this moment, the radio snail on Dorlo’s body started to ring.

”Major Dorlo! Bad news, there’s a breach in the fire wall, many people are escaping from inside! What should we do?!”

”What! Kill them all, those people are pirates and their accomplices!”

Upon hearing the report from the outside, Dorlo was greatly shocked. If there were witnesses who saw him setting the fire, he would be in big trouble, so he immediately issued the kill order using that reason.

However, before the other side could respond to his instructions, a new situation arose.

”New situation, Major Dorlo! There are pirates attacking us from behind, led by an ability user!”

In his sight, he saw a female with green blades protruding from her elbows, continuously reaping the lives of nearby Navy members. She was an officer under Shaina.

The female members of the Hundred Beasts mostly belonged to Shaina and Olga, partly due to gender factors, but being able to defeat others with their female bodies to become officers showed that their talent was actually stronger than those male pirates.

”Reinforcements? Eliminate them.”

”No..no! Major, those people are from the Hundred Beasts Pirates, we request supp...”

Before the word ”support” was even spoken, there was no more sound from the radio snail. Although many in these pirates were new, they were also newcomers who had fought in the New World, and the leaders were veterans, many direct subordinates of Shaina.

Led by a high-level official of an emperor’s crew, they faced these Navy members with the highest rank being a major from the First Half of the Grand Line, and it was basically a crushing victory.

Seeing the flames appearing, the Hundred Beasts pirates nearby started to move, mistakenly thinking that these Navy members were in conflict with Shaina, so they launched an attack directly.

”Hello, hello?! Are you still there?”

The busy signal from the radio snail hit him like a hammer. As an officer from the headquarters, he was naturally well versed in the repercussions of the Sea Emperor publicized by Morgans.

”Pirates from the New World...weren’t those Hundred Beasts already gone back...?”

The chase was originally after a group of pirates with a bounty over ten million, but now the trouble seemed even greater.

The enemies inside the village hadn’t been completely eliminated yet, and outside there were even more powerful pirates coming. A breach in the fire wall that was supposed to lock down the area had appeared. As he pondered what to do, a towering figure emerged from the flames to Dorlo.

Standing just over two meters tall, he was a dwarf compared to Shaina, but seeing the figure in the fire, he instinctively pulled the trigger of the flamethrower in his hand.

Even if they were ordinary people, it wouldn’t affect his attack, as being able to move indicated they had some degree of consciousness. Moreover, the shadow with wings didn’t look like an ordinary person.

However, this time, there was no sound from the flames – no scream or sound of falling. Instead, the shadow grew closer.

Although the fiery light obscured Dorlo’s view of the opponent’s face, the approaching figure made him increasingly uneasy. Simultaneously increasing the intensity of the flame jet, he started to retreat little by little.

Yet the flamethrower that he found so effective a moment ago became entirely useless, as a brown hand reached out from the fire and grabbed the nozzle that was still spewing flames.

”That’s not how you use fire, this is the right way.”

Flames suddenly ignited on the hand. The high-temperature-resistant nozzle started to soften under Shaina’s fiery burn.

Under Shaina’s grip, it twisted into a mass. If it weren’t for the flamethrower’s advanced safety measures that quickly cut off the fuel supply, it would likely have exploded right there.

”Why... why is someone like you here!”

Compared to the frequently appearing King and Zeraora over the years, Shaina’s presence was much lower. She mostly handled duties on Ghost Island, or led searches.

Even though she was worth over a billion, her information was much less than the other officials, with interest in her gradually decreasing, so Dorlo didn’t recognize her at once.

However, it was impossible for the Hundred Beasts pirates to materialize out of nowhere and attack them, so there was no doubt about Shaina’s identity. Ordinary pirates couldn’t have walked through his flames to reach him and destroy his flamethrower.

”That’s not important, but I really don’t like what I’m seeing now. This village is innocent, isn’t it?”

”Since when is it your place to manage such things? If it weren’t for you people, this wouldn’t even have happened!” he said, throwing the girl he was holding towards Shaina.

Shaina had crushed the flamethrower on one side, while he held the girl in his other hand. Unable to use that hand, he flung the girl straight towards Shaina as a projectile and lifted the flamethrower as well.

”The reason I’m burning this village is because you pirates mixed in!”

Shaina wasn’t interested in arguing with him. Dorlo was very irritating to her; his disregard for life naturally reminded her of those people in the lab.

Raising her hand to catch the girl he tossed, Shaina’s mouth opened slightly, and she spat out a jet of flame. Although not a specialist in attack, the flamethrower she unleashed forced Dorlo’s flames back.

While igniting Dorlo’s clothes, it also triggered an explosion in his fuel tank. Although there was a safety device at the nozzle, there was none at the back.

Engulfed in flames, Dorlo understood the agony of those he burned earlier, which subsequently ignited his fuel tank, leading to an explosion.

The few trusted followers around Dorlo started to flee in fear when Shaina walked through the flames. They managed to escape the explosion.

Shaina didn’t pursue them because more of the Hundred Beasts pirates, having broken through the outer perimeter, appeared in front of them.

They originally attacked with the intent to break through those Navy members. Led only by a captain, they had no chance against the Hundred Beasts pirates.

In the battle, the Navy members were quickly killed, while the leader reached Shaina.

”Boss, did you encounter any trouble?”

”No, did you take down all the Navy outside?”

”Well.... there were too many of them, probably a lot retreated.”

”Forget it, have the supplies been secured? There’s nothing we need on this island, put out the fire and let’s retreat.”

Since they hadn’t wiped them out completely, it meant the message had already spread. There were far more Navy stationed in the First Half of the Grand Line than in the New World, so to avoid further trouble, she ordered the retreat after extinguishing the fire.

Thanks to the passage Shaina had opened earlier, many villagers successfully escaped. Upon seeing others putting out the fire, they returned and joined in the effort.

Extinguishing the fires, which had been mixed with accelerants, took them quite a bit of effort. Sticking to the principle of doing a good deed thoroughly, they also treated some burn victims before leaving the island. However, the next day, something unusual happened.

”Why is this little girl on board?”
