Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 330: Chapter 329: Divine Judgment

Flying straight to the West Kael Kingdom from here would still take some time, so Kaidou had made arrangements in advance, and contacting Umit was one part of the plan.

As the Sea Transport King of the New World, though his main business was in the New World, he also had dealings in the Grand Line and the Four Seas, particularly holding significant influence in the area of maritime smuggling.

The West Kael Kingdom is a Non-Adhering Country, so the World Government’s official fleets do not go there, and all goods exchanges are carried out by private maritime organizations.

To conduct business in these seas, one has to have some means with both lawful and unlawful circles. Without a doubt, Umit was the best in this regard, and having him pass the message was most effective.

Queen’s words were like orders, yet Umit, who was disturbed in the middle of the night, had no complaints, given the standing of the Hundred Beasts, there was no need to offend them over such a small matter.

At the same time, one phone call after another was made by Queen, notifying other territories of the Hundred Beasts, with three ships assembling at different islands and beginning to converge.

They didn’t draw away the elite guarding Wano Kuni this time, as it was unnecessary. Those people’s primary role was to bolster presence. With Arceus and Kaidou taking action personally, without corresponding high-level combat power to block them, numbers meant nothing.

The Hundred Beasts King set sail overnight, causing quite a stir among many, including the Navy.

Though the Navy lacked comprehensive control in the New World, they had plenty of reconnaissance ships around Whitebeard’s territory, near Tottland, and the Hundred Beasts’ territory.

The Navy certainly had to keep track of these Great Pirates’ activities; these guys were remnants of Rocks.

While there might not be a second person like Rocks, if these three suddenly went crazy and aimed at a Heavenly Celestial Dragon like Rocks did, the Navy would be in deep trouble.

Those Heavenly Celestial Dragons might stay obediently in Mary Geoise, but they often wandered around aimlessly.

The Navy couldn’t assign an Admiral to every traveling Heavenly Celestial Dragon, so monitoring pirates capable of stirring up major trouble became the best option.

A sudden large-scale mobilization within the Hundred Beasts Pirates’ territory was a significant event, and the Navy, upon receiving the news, was on alert but took no further actions, simply maintaining observation.

By dawn the next day, the Hundred Beasts King had already departed from the waters of Wano Kuni. Kaidou and Arceus left abruptly during the night, leaving Yamato a bit unsettled.

The lack of Kaidou’s sudden raids after the alarm went off didn’t ease Yamato’s vigilance, because, as was typical, Kaidou might launch a surprise attack on her at any time. This alertness continued until noon, when she finally realized that both Arceus and Kaidou were gone.

Moreover, even Shaina, who was usually responsible for training them, had disappeared. Upon learning from others that Arceus and Kaidou had set sail, she didn’t feel any negativity, instead joyfully leaped up.

With everyone gone, it seemed she could play freely.

...

Meanwhile, in the West Kael Kingdom, the rebellion led by Jeff had not failed; they had received strong support the night before from Mandfeish.

After passing on the information, Mandfeish led his subordinates to the rebel camp, and without a word, the cannons on the ship targeted the kingdom army for an attack.

Originally, he didn’t want these rebels to freeload his mercenaries, but the kingdom army’s actions directly opposed them, pushing them to the opposite side.

Without mobbing or covering for subordinates’ retreat, Mandfeish wasn’t afraid of that swordsman, and for a while, the battlefield entered a new stalemate.

”Why? As a Devil Fruit user, you fell into the water; how can you still be alive? There’s simply no ship nearby to pick you up!”

”I don’t need to explain any of this to you, as I’ve said before, cherish your last moments!”

With Mandfeish’s intervention, the kingdom army’s original plan was completely broken. However, King West V did not think that it was his mistake; he believed it was precisely because Mandfeish was one of them, which was why he got involved in this fight.

After a while, the battle between the royal army and the rebels turned into a tug-of-war, as Mandfeish’s ships had exhausted their ammunition. Their cannonballs were custom-made, and incompatible with barrel calibers of other cannonballs, so they couldn’t be mixed.

However, the situation wasn’t favorable for the rebels because they lost their main food-producing area in earlier skirmishes; now the resources wouldn’t hold much longer.

That night, Jeff and a few others sought out Mandfeish and made a request.

”You want us to help you defeat that king?”

”Yes, afterwards, we can pay from his treasury. He’s been extorting taxes for years; the treasury must be full of money.”

”We don’t accept these empty promises; we’re only here because we have a grudge against that king. But don’t worry; he won’t last long. By the way, if you had to live on another island, where would you choose?”

”Why do you ask?”

”Because the fate of this island is already sealed.”

Mandfeish said something Jeff didn’t understand, and on a following morning over a month later, an enormous pirate ship cut through the morning fog and arrived at Kuraigana Island.

Kuraigana Island was like this most of the time, with dense sea fog, and sunny days were rather rare. Today, the residents of Kuraigana Island experienced the hottest sunlight in their lives.

The enormous sun dispersed the thick fog, also awakening King West V who was still asleep.

”What’s going on... why is the sun so big?”

As he puzzled over the weather change, a violent tremor suddenly shook his palace. At the city gates of the Royal City, the garrison soldiers were stunned, dropping their weapons to the ground as fear spread.

The originally majestic city walls and gates had disappeared, replaced by a bottomless abyss. Just after sunlight illuminated the area, a beam of light traced around the wall’s outline, transforming it into this state.

”What... what is that... the rebels’ weapon?”

”I... I don’t know...”

As they pondered, red figures flew across the sky—they were Rotom in loudspeaker form, whose speakers began announcing to everyone.

”Rotom! Attention, everyone aside from the royal family and the Imperial Guard, Rotom, you have three hours to leave this city. Divine punishment is coming!”
