Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 317: Chapter 316: Lovestruck Geodude and Gigalith

He couldn’t figure out what was happening, so he chose to remain silent and watch everything unfold.

He had another reason for doing so, he thought too much, thinking Oden’s sudden distancing was a hint, implying that if anything really happened, he should do nothing.

Originally, he didn’t understand why Kozuki Oden suddenly ignored him at that time, even if his wife personally invited him, he wouldn’t come to their home as a guest.

Now it seems that these things make sense.

The funeral for Kozuki Oden and the Daimyos took place after the General’s inauguration ceremony, and now he chose to pay his respects alone.

Many things needed preparation, which were handed over to the people of Wano Kuni, with Kojiro also involved, and after this night, his status underwent a tremendous change once more.

Though his family wasn’t large, they could now be considered a top noble family in Wano Kuni.

On the other hand, Kaido was succumbing to his old habits, his collection fixation had flared up.

The General and the Daimyos, due to various reasons, couldn’t be brought under his command, but it was different for others.

At that moment in Udon’s quarry, a group of rebellious prisoners and pirates had been executed, and the remaining ones were greeted with Kaido’s recruitment.

”I’m giving you all a chance now, join my ranks, and you can erase your crime from last night, though this is only limited to the Samurai.”

Now his standards had risen, riffraff were everywhere, those unruly outlaws weren’t worth recruiting, but the Samurai who could hold their own against his subordinates interested him.

However, most Samurai resisted, and they eventually stayed here, becoming the new mining team, while the quickest to surrender were Orochi’s Imperial Court Guards.

These special Ninja piqued Kaido’s slight interest, so he gave them a chance. In last night’s battle, Fukurokuju, Daikoku, Hanzo, and Jigoku Benten all perished.

The remaining seven nearly surrendered without thinking, just like when Orochi became General before. People like this were not needed by Kaido, but he planned to throw these Imperial Court Guards to Kozuki Hiyori as a ceremonial team.

Coincidentally, these so-called Ninja had quite a reputation in Wano Kuni, so he repurposed them.

After Kaido left, Babanuki’s subordinate came up to him.

”Babanuki, why didn’t you tell the Governor about that thing?”

”You... are new here?”

Babanuki didn’t answer, instead, he looked at this pirate with slight hesitation.

”Ah, I joined the Hundred Beasts two years ago, and was just transferred to Wano Kuni from overseas this year.”

”No wonder you know nothing, telling Governor Kaido about this wouldn’t help, we should wait for Lord Arceus’ arrangements.”

The issue he raised was simple, he found that they couldn’t overfeed these miners; if they were too full, they’d cause trouble, but if they weren’t fed enough, it would affect mining efficiency.

Last night’s turmoil left Babanuki in a deadlock, unsure how to handle this issue, so he sent the problem upwards, and not long after Kaido left, Arceus arrived here.

The team gathered in the quarry to welcome Kaido hadn’t disbanded yet, and immediately regrouped again.

”Lord Arceus, why have you come personally?”

”To solve the issue you mentioned, and to check on that child.”

As soon as he finished speaking, some rubble on the ground was shaken up again, and an Aggron, comparable in size to a Peacekeeper, ran over, with some iron scraps still visible at the corner of its mouth, indicating it had been eating just now.

Watching the massive steel creature act as gentle as a pet in front of Arceus, some prisoners’ expressions changed, as they had previously witnessed how terrifying Aggron looked when rampaging.

It seemed that during training it had shattered a large raw ore block, and the pirates had long grown accustomed to this sight, as back when it was a Lairon, it often used its head to smash into mountains for practice.

By Aggron’s feet were several Geodude, these aggressive Rock-type Pokemon demonstrated utmost gentleness in front of Arceus.

”Is that so, got it, you’ve done well, today you’ll have a new companion.”

Arceus replied to the Pokemon, and upon hearing him, Aggron immediately brought over a large raw Seastone ore, while the Geodude watched expectantly from the side.

Under the transformative power of the Stone Plate, this piece of raw Seastone underwent massive changes.

Under this force, the ore began to disassemble and reassemble, and a Pokemon with a rocky body like the Geodude appeared here.

However, it wasn’t spherical but had a body and limbs, covered with many sharp-edged, odd-colored crystalline stones.

High Pressure Pokemon - Gigalith

Gigalith’s main body consists of a rock resembling a conical shape, with a unique crystal stone in the center of its chest and back.

Gigalith has a prominent crystal stone that runs from the top of its head down to its brow and chin, with additional crystal stones on either side of its jaw and head.

Its limbs are formed from triangular rocks, each with two sharp crystal stones at the forefront forming its claws.

Grey-black band-like structures connect its body and limbs, with typical Gigalith’s crystals being orange, but this one’s crystals are the same deep blue as the patterns on the Geodude.

The function of these crystals is to absorb sunlight and, after reacting within its energy core, emit as sphere-like light bullets from its mouth, which is Gigalith’s primary attack method.

In the Pokemon world, these creatures often bury themselves underground, exposing only their crystallized heads. Although the color has changed, the deep blue actually absorbs light better.

The energy projectiles launched by Gigalith are incredibly powerful; having it around equates to an extra self-propelled artillery piece at the quarry.

The drawback is it can’t shoot at night or on rainy days, only on sunny days.

Moreover, Gigalith has always been a favorite among the quarry workers; its strength and abilities have made it invaluable for mining, whether for tunneling or cleaving rocks.

Arceus came this time to create Gigalith, enhancing both mining output and the quarry’s defensive capabilities.

However, upon its appearance, the Geodude seemed stirred, quickly gathering around it. This was because both Geodude and Aggron were male, while this Gigalith was female.

Arceus arbitrarily decided its gender, not paying attention to other matters, but since Geodude and Gigalith both belong to the Mineral Egg Group, these Geodude, who had never seen a female, seemed to be experiencing the awakening of spring...
