Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 304: Chapter 303: If Nothing Unexpected Happens, Something Unexpected Is About to Happen

As the final evolution of Squirtle, Blastoise’s strength in all aspects far surpasses that of Squirtle. The shooting range of the two Hydro Cannons on its back is extremely wide, and the power is immense, capable of penetrating through iron sheets.

Moreover, with the water temperature approaching boiling point, the damage caused by Blastoise is incredibly terrifying.

The High-Pressure Water Gun can suppress riots, and the hot water released by Blastoise taught them a harsh lesson. Even without the pirate guard units, the presence of these Pokemon allies ensured that the hospitals and residential areas were not disturbed by the hooligans.

Similar scenes not only occurred at the Pokemon Center but also at the farms in Kuri and the cotton plantations in Shimi, where similar situations took place.

In Kuri, Kentaro’s family witnessed the sight of rolling Miltanks crashing into people, breaking their bones. Since the incident with Inuarashi and Nekomamushi’s vegetable thieves, the Miltanks seemed to have gained more experience.

The cotton plantation in Shimi was relatively more harmonious due to the nature of the Pokemon species.

The Pokemon here had relatively lower combat power, but the cotton of Eldegoss and Whimsicott became their biggest obstacle in their progress, while the Jumpluff flying in the sky scattered their powder.

The Poison Powder, Stun Spore, and Sleep Powder mixed into the air, entered the bodies of those below with their breaths, ultimately rendering them incapable of resistance and combat.

The battles here were all unorganized chaos, which quickly subsided under strong suppression, but elsewhere, there were still some organized actions.

Hospitals and plantations were mostly civilian institutions, housing a large number of civilians from Wano Kuni. The hooligans, tempted by the potential profits, wanted to seize them.

Whether they could actually obtain what they needed was unclear, as foolish thieves were everywhere, stealing from phone shops only to find out they had stolen all models.

But the organizers were not like this; their target was the main base of the Hundred Beasts. They had some knowledge of how many pirates were in Wano Kuni. Most of the pirates were now in the Flower Capital, giving them new targets.

Nowadays, Wano Kuni had a special place where the Hundred Beasts’ manpower was not abundant, yet it was a very important location - Udon Quarry.

Udon Quarry had long been transformed by the Hundred Beasts into a prison-like existence, holding a large number of convicts doing labor, as well as some pirates who had failed in battles outside detained to mine stones here.

If this place could be breached, the pirates originally imprisoned here by the Hundred Beasts would undoubtedly deal a significant blow to the Hundred Beasts, though they might not follow orders, they were all enemies of the Hundred Beasts.

To curb the strong forces of the Hundred Beasts, the Orochi Imperial Court Guards and some personnel came to Udon Quarry.

The Orochi Imperial Court Guards were the direct unit of the General of Wano Kuni, and nominally, the leader of this group should be Kozuki Oden.

However, after Kurozumi Orochi seized the position of Acting General, this group chose to pledge allegiance to Kurozumi Orochi, leading Kunoichi to leave this group and become Wano Kuni’s ”Traitorous Ninja.”

Except for Fukurokuju, all others were dispatched by Orochi. He originally thought that with Kozuki Oden and Kurozumi Semimaru, his safety was ensured, but reality taught him a painful lesson.

Inside Udon Quarry, the pirates of the Hundred Beasts still stood guard here, even though most pirates from Ghost Island had entered the Flower Capital, the pirates in Udon remained unchanged, with Babanuki constantly on watch.

There were only a hundred pirates here, not many in number, but they regularly faced shackled prisoners, with support from other nearby pirates, so their manpower was adequate.

However, tonight’s battle placed them in an isolated and helpless state.

”Stay alert! Tonight is a crucial night. Governor Kaido has promised us a seven-day holiday, come tomorrow, someone will take over.”

The prisoners were all sent back to their cells, and in theory, they were safe here, but things were about to take an unexpected turn.

The spotlight caught sight of the intruders’ traces, but Babanuki remained unflustered.

Udon Quarry was a large pit dug out from the middle of an exposed mountain body, surrounded by steep cliffs, with only one gate as the entrance and exit.

As long as this gate was guarded, outsiders could absolutely not break in, but he underestimated the so-called ninjas of Wano Kuni, leveraging the feigned attacks from outsiders, they actually climbed in.

These ninjas mostly relied on some strange tools to perform their so-called ninjutsu, but their training was indeed much more extensive than ordinary people. They might not fare well in direct combat like the Samurai, but they excelled in stealth and surprise attacks.

Although successfully infiltrating Udon Quarry, the following events caught them off guard. As ninjas, they were adept at unlocking, and it didn’t take long for them to pick open the doors of several prison cells.

But before they could rejoice, a siren blared within the quarry, and simultaneously, a few round shapes rolled down from the mountainside.

”What’s that!”

A few boulders were thrown out by them; Onix had long been sent to the underground of the Red Earth Continent, as Wano Kuni’s limited area was unsuitable for their growth, but the Geodudes still resided here. Upon noticing something amiss below, they initiated an attack first.

The released prisoners still wore shackles and were unable to help with anything, leaving the task of dealing with the Geodudes to the ninjas of the Imperial Court Guards.

After dodging the stones thrown by the Geodudes, the ninjas couldn’t help but question themselves.

”What the hell are those? Are all the creatures under the Hundred Beasts Pirates like this?”

As trusted ones of Orochi, they had seen other Pokemon, but the Rock-type Pokemon at the quarry were a first. Other Pokemon still bore animal or plant characteristics on their bodies, but here it was different.

Geodudes, besides being mobile, lacked any animal characteristics, leading them to conclude they were monsters.

”You all continue to release the prisoners, leave this to us.”

The alarm here would soon attract the attention of the pirates, not many in number, but the incoming pirates could easily lead to mission failure. They must release more prisoners before the opponents could react.

”Ninja Technique: Hellish Zither.”

Saying this, a woman launched an attack on the Geodudes. Although it sounded quite grand, in fact, it was merely a machine gun hidden within the zither.

As the bullets struck the bodies of the Geodudes, several Geodudes looked at each other, then scratched their heads in confusion.
