The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Qianlima Restaurant acquired the adjacent Dayu Mall, and the renovation took half a year.

Today, the construction party informed us that we could proceed with the inspection.

The entire Dayu Mall and Qianlima Restaurant were merged into an open space; all dust-proof membranes and temporary decorative wallpapers previously used as separators were removed, and the front hall lobby was more than doubled in size.

In addition, both the newly built ordering area and dining area were refreshed in terms of size and architectural style.

It maintained its previous vintage style but also added some chic elements.

The designer invited to design the new store is a friend of Yao Shi’s, with a very unique perspective.

Dong Jun Tian conducted the inspection together with Yao Shi and two finance staff members.

The construction party was quite responsible. Some minor flaws in the details were fully repaired after multiple communications between both parties.

Once all the construction personnel have withdrawn, we can let the cleaning staff come over for sweeping and tidying.

It’s expected that the new area will officially open in two days.

As for the old store area, the construction party will continue to be stationed for simple refurbishments, with each area being replanned and adjusted.

Since it’s a small-scale renovation, both areas can be used simultaneously.

This won’t affect the store’s normal operations due to moving the dining area.

After signing the acceptance form, the finance staff stamped it, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

The new area took a full six months from investment to now. Everyone is looking forward to the results after it opens.

However, before everyone could exchange their thoughts on the inspection results, they saw the front-hall waiter Wang Yuxuan rushing over!

Seeing Yao Shi, Wang Yuxuan hurriedly approached and anxiously said, ”Chef Yao, the customer in room 104 is dissatisfied with the dishes cooked by the restaurant and requested the kitchen to redo them!”

Upon hearing this, several people’s expressions changed instantly!

Wang Yuxuan continued, ”Sister Gao said Chef Fu had already been sent over by the kitchen to understand the situation and started recooking. But because it’s the guest in room 104, Sister Gao specially asked me to come and say it.”

Before Yao Shi could respond, Dong Jun Tian’s expression had changed: ”What? The customer in room 104 is not satisfied with the restaurant’s dishes?!”

After speaking, without waiting for Wang Yuxuan’s reply, he already strode towards the front hall.

He was at his wit’s end!

The original joy vanished instantly!

It’s crucial to know that the guest in room 104 is an overseas Chinese returning to invest and set up a factory.

Even the city’s second-in-command specifically sent someone to give him a call, asking him to ensure good hospitality!

Why does everything go wrong at critical moments when things usually go well?

What kind of dishes did the kitchen make?

They even made the customer dissatisfied, asking for a redo!

This Zhao Meng is really going too far!

It’s said to be the guest in room 104, yet he dared to send Fu Yu to handle it!

Not solving it personally in such a situation, isn’t this making trouble for the restaurant?

It must be because I’ve been too lenient with him lately!

Because business has been good and the new area renovation went smoothly, I’ve been a bit lenient in managing the kitchen staff.

As a result, these people are ungrateful, behaving outrageously!

The more Dong Jun Tian thought about it, the angrier he got, and the heavier his steps became!

This Old Zhao, how could he be so inconsiderate!

Usually acting very steady, but now he’s more and more inattentive to the restaurant’s affairs!

This matter has already touched Dong Jun Tian’s bottom line!

Anything that impacts the restaurant’s operation and profits tramples on his bottom line!

This is not a small matter.

It reflects the daily work attitude of the staff under him!

Moreover, if today’s VIP guest is truly angered, how can he continue operating this restaurant in the future?

No doubt, there’ll be many hurdles for him to overcome!

Thinking of this, Dong Jun Tian quickened his pace!

The expressions of the people behind him weren’t any better.

They were all management staff, having various channels to understand the big and small matters of the restaurant.

Everyone was well aware of the VIP guest in room 104 today.

The two finance staff looked at each other, not daring to make a sound at such a moment, fearing that the boss’s anger might be directed at them, causing unnecessary trouble.

Yao Shi was slightly stunned: ”Old Zhao is not usually such a reckless person, is he? Xiaowang, what exactly happened?”

Wang Yuxuan, having been startled by the boss’s expression earlier, immediately recounted the situation in detail upon Yao Shi’s inquiry.

In a hurry, Dong Jun Tian’s speech was slightly breathless: ”What?! The competition crab was not authentic? They said it was an improved version?”

This is nonsense!

Their restaurant is known for classic dishes, promoting traditional flavors.

The genuinely improved dishes can be counted on two hands.

Let alone a side dish like the competition crab.

Who would bother with such low-cost, low-profit dishes?

If it were another dish, the unfit taste might have resulted from a cook’s occasional mistake.

But the competition crab dish isn’t difficult to cook; it’s all about practice makes perfect.

After cooking it numerous times over a long period, it can be done superbly with eyes closed.

Convinced that it might not be their issue, Dong Songtian’s expression relaxed slightly: ”Let’s go, let’s have a look first.”

Resolving customer disputes isn’t a finance responsibility.

Xin Li gave Su Hong a look.

The two slowed their pace very tacitly, first falling behind Dong Jun Tian and Yao Shi, then gradually detached from the group, turning back and heading to the second-floor office area.

Back in the finance room, Su Hong closed the door and turned around curiously: ”Sister Xin, is the boss going to explode again?”

Xin Li sighed: ”Who knows, just be careful today!”

Xin Li, working as an accountant in finance, is usually very well-informed.

She had known earlier that the guest in room 104 today was city leadership, hosting a boss returning to Bei’an to invest in a factory, so she was equally nervous.

If today’s banquet fails, the restaurant surely will face a big deal!

The competition crab was not authentic?

Qianlima has been in operation for over a hundred years, with countless unreasonable customers, yet none have ever complained about the taste of the dishes from the kitchen.

However, it must be said that Zhao Meng was somewhat reckless today.

The courage was too big.

Daring not to personally attend to the guests in room 104.

Although Fu Yu is also quite good, with excellent culinary skills, a bright personality, and reliability.

Still, sending such a young person to such an occasion doesn’t seem quite appropriate, right?

What were they thinking?

Upon reflecting, Xin Li also became curious.

Frankly, she had a good impression of Fu Yu, the young chef, who was often praised by peers.

Hardworking, talented in culinary arts, personable, and good-looking.

He could be described as exceptionally talented and versatile.

But in this situation, if he fails to satisfy the customer, it’s likely not to end well, right?
