The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

When Wang Yulong looked at Fu Yu again, he couldn’t help but feel that the other person was unfathomable.

So he couldn’t help but ask, ”Xiaofu, is this... the first time you’ve made this Pagoda Pork dish today?”

Fu Yu sighed inwardly, as expected, his little tricks were really nothing in front of an experienced chef!

Fu Yu replied awkwardly, ”Yes, it is indeed the first time.”

Wang Yulong nodded and smiled, ”Not bad, you really have talent, keep it up!”

Fu Yu: ”!”

He felt immensely encouraged!

Thinking about it, being able to cook a new dish like this on the first try is actually quite impressive.

No need to belittle myself.

I’m still young, I’m still sharp!

If I work hard in the future, diligence will overcome clumsiness.

On the side, Liu Zhangpeng was dumbfounded!

Master!

Can you be a bit more honest?

Doesn’t it feel fake when saying such hypocritical words?

Where do you see talent?

What is done well!

Liu Zhangpeng felt resentful in his heart, thinking that his master was soft-hearted, giving Fu Yu a way out.

The words just seemed too fake.

And Liu Yunong silently looked at Fu Yu.

She heard the appreciation and approval in Wang Yulong’s tone.

So following Wang Yulong’s perspective and evaluating Fu Yu’s performance yielded a completely different interpretation.

Wang Yulong has been in the industry for many years and has experience nurturing newcomers, so his perspective is more insightful than hers and Liu Zhangpeng’s.

Through a live cooking operation, he quickly and accurately uncovered strengths and weaknesses.

Based on this judgment, he analyzed the potential and advantages of the other person.

In contrast, Liu Yunong is still too young and without having taken on apprentices, she lacks experience in this area.

Not to mention Liu Zhangpeng, who hasn’t even completed his apprenticeship.

Ultimately, it’s just a matter of lacking vision.

Finally...

After repeated attempts, Fu Yu successfully stuffed the pickled mustard into the meat rolls flatly.

The amount of pickled mustard was the same as in the recipe, and the appearance of the meat roll remained smooth without affecting the overall shape.

Fu Yu felt a sense of relief, it was the first time he felt cooking could be this tiring and stressful.

But fortunately, it was completed smoothly.

Perfect!

Fu Yu continued with the final steps.

He placed the stuffed meat rolls onto a shell-patterned plate.

Then brushed on a glaze made from pickled mustard sauce.

Placing it in the pot, he steamed it over medium heat for an hour.

Taking advantage of this time, Fu Yu intended to practice the stuffing operation a few more times, but was called by Wang Yulong to debone whole chickens.

Today there was a special roasted chicken dish.

The chickens were already marinated, only needing to be deboned and plated.

As the restaurant had clear operating guidelines for deboning cooked chicken, it was always done by the chefs, with the exception that assistants could practice by reassembling and plating the deboned pieces.

This dish was always a hot seller at the restaurant, so they had plenty of ingredients.

Fu Yu’s skill in deboning cooked chickens was very quick; with previous operational experience, he no longer needed guidance from others.

In just an hour, he had deboned seven cooked chickens consecutively.

On average, deboning a chicken took less than ten minutes, including assembling and plating the five whole chickens that were for the assistants to practice plating.

While cooking, Wang Yulong constantly kept an eye on Fu Yu’s progress.

Seeing Fu Yu effortlessly debone and plate several cooked chickens, he couldn’t help but nod in appreciation.

Indeed, Fu Yu’s learning ability and practical skills are amazing!

The whole deboning operation was done with extreme proficiency.

Especially the last chicken, whether it was the size of the pieces, the speed of deboning, or the overall effect of assembly and plating, it was perfect.

Wang Yulong, who had worked in the kitchen for decades and deboned thousands of cooked chickens.

This skill was already fully mastered.

But even with vast experience, watching Fu Yu’s deboning and plating made Wang Yulong quietly amazed.

It really was perfect, objectively speaking, in terms of skill, technique, especially speed, even better than his own.

Wang Yulong sighed deeply.

Talent is truly enviable!

At this time, a digital prompt suddenly sounded in Fu Yu’s ear:

[Ding! NPC Head Chef Wang Yulong’s Stage Task, Stage Three, Perfect Level of Whole Chicken Deboning, Completed Successfully. Reward: Skill Point +1, Wang Yulong Favorability +5]

Fu Yu paused in his movement.

He was wondering why the task reward had not been issued, turns out his previous operations hadn’t reached the perfect level.

Through today’s repeated practice, he finally achieved the system’s perfect standard.

The frustration from repeated failures with the stuffing operation was instantly soothed.

No matter how difficult the cooking operation, given enough time to practice, he can always do it best.

Fu Yu regained his confidence, the original feelings of loss and frustration completely vanished.

Seeing everyone else was busy working around him, Fu Yu couldn’t help but scoff.

Watch out, mere mortals!

Stuffing? Just give him time and he can outshine everyone!

The steaming time was up, so Fu Yu greeted Wang Yulong and returned to the stove to retrieve the meat rolls.

Laying in the plate were layers upon layers of pagoda-shaped meat, lustrous and rich in flavor; just a glance confirmed it would melt in one’s mouth.

Fu Yu followed Liu Yunong’s request to make a simple floral carving.

He horizontally cut the rapeseed, leaving only the base, then boiled it in salt water.

Once the meat rolls were steamed, he placed the rapeseed-made flowers around them.

The dish was thus completed.

The originally tempting meat rolls, accompanied by vegetables, not only enhanced the overall look but also provided freshness to cut through the richness.

As expected of the Liu Family Cuisine’s secret dish, just looking at it merits praise. Rather than a dish, it’s more like a culinary masterpiece!

Fu Yu completely breathed a sigh of relief.

It’s done!

No matter how rough the process had been, the result was ultimately satisfying.

Liu Yunong came over to take a look and nodded in satisfaction, ”Nicely done!”

She casually complimented and instructed, ”Tomorrow we’ll make a secret crispy fried lotus root, you’ll have a chance to practice, try to come in early.”

[Ding! NPC Chef Liu Yunong’s Task, Master a Perfect Stuffing Operation, Task Reward: Liu Yunong Favorability +10]

Fu Yu’s eyes lit up and he immediately nodded, ”Got it, Chef Liu!”

It’s just a perfect stuffing operation, right?

As long as he’s given a chance, he’s confident he’ll amaze everyone!

Just you wait for me to make a comeback!
