The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

After tasting the steamed duck with raw rehmannia, Jin Yang picked up a piece of braised pig’s trotter meat.

The pig’s trotter was braised to be very tender, quivering slightly on the chopsticks.

When placed in the mouth, it was soft, fragrant, tender, bouncy, fatty but not greasy.

It didn’t have a strong taste, but rather a very light one. The first bite touched the skin, and with a gentle vertical cut from the teeth, the layer below was fatty meat, definitely rich but not greasy. Beneath that was lean meat, which melted in the mouth, followed by another layer of fatty meat, and then lean meat again. Distinct layers, yet seamless.

It still carried the unique sweet-bitter aroma of herbal medicine, but there was no bitter taste when actually eaten.

Jin Nuannuan devoured a large duck leg and started on the pig’s trotter again. With a great appetite, her previously gloomy mood unknowingly lifted, and she muttered to herself with a satisfied smile in her voice, ”Dad, this medicinal cuisine you chose is really good, very delicious.”

Jin Yang was stunned for a moment, realizing that this was an acknowledgment of the customized medicinal dishes.

His heart immediately surged with warmth, so he picked up the steamed duck and braised pig’s trotter with chopsticks, encouraging Jin Nuannuan to eat to her heart’s content.

Jin Yang chuckled, unable to resist saying, ”You’ve loved these since you were little, preferring fatty meat, and loving the skin of chicken and duck. These two customized medicinal dishes perfectly match your preferences.”

When customizing the menu earlier, Chef Fu had specially and carefully inquired about Jin Nuannuan’s usual dietary preferences.

Who would have thought the dishes made would suit her tastes so well?

He indeed put in a lot of thought.

And the culinary skills were truly excellent as well.

Jin Yang thought to himself, even if the effect of the medicinal cuisine is not significant in the end, just for the sake of such deliciousness, he wouldn’t trouble the young chef too much.

Jin Nuannuan savored the soft, glutinous pig’s trotter carefully, her bright, beautiful eyes looking at Jin Yang, ”Dad, how did he braise this pig trotter? It’s so delicious! And this duck, there’s no bone at all, but it’s so intact from the duck wing to the duck leg, was it de-boned by machine?”

Jin Yang laughed, ”It should be hand de-boned. Once, when I was on a business trip, I had a private dish like this, but it was a whole chicken de-boned, somewhat like this. This young chef is quite skilled!”

Jin Nuannuan buried her head and laughed, her eyes curved into a line.

As the saying goes, the mouth softens when eating someone’s food, and the hands soften when taking someone’s things.

This was the first time Jin Nuannuan tasted the two medicinal dishes personally cooked by Fu Yu, with the whole duck still on the table yet to be finished, Fu Yu took the time to come over.

As the chef, it was necessary to routinely inquire about the customer’s dining experience after the medicinal cuisine was served.

Then, based on the customer’s feedback, a customized medicinal menu for the next time would be created, and by the way, he would remind them of the usage method for the pearl egg white mask.

When Fu Yu entered the private room, he noticed that the two medicinal dishes were almost finished.

However, a few of the restaurant’s specialty dishes were barely touched, left almost untouched.

Seeing Fu Yu come in, Jin Yang greeted warmly, ”Chef Fu, come in!”

Fu Yu walked to the table and asked professionally, ”Have you almost finished? Miss Jin, how are these two medicinal dishes, do they meet your satisfaction?”

Jin Nuannuan’s attitude had significantly softened, and she truthfully said, ”Very delicious, perfectly suits my taste.”

Fu Yu nodded, ”That’s good. I need to discuss a bit with you about the customization of the next medicinal cuisine menu.”

Jin Yang felt rather guilty inside and awkwardly said, ”It’s all finished, Chef Fu, just proceed as you see fit with the customization of the medicinal cuisine, we’ll follow your arrangement.”

Fu Yu didn’t take this seemingly sincere comment to heart but seriously took out his pre-made medicinal menu and carefully discussed the specific flavors and effects of the dishes with the Jin family father and daughter.

Fu Yu remained very professional, Jin Yang also stopped being polite, attentively listening to Fu Yu finish, then discussed with Jin Nuannuan, finally selecting a spread of three dishes, one soup, and one staple food.

Fu Yu glanced at it, and it was almost exactly as he had expected the menu to be, so he contentedly said, ”Alright, I’ll customize according to this menu.”

Having agreed on the time to visit next week, Fu Yu did not forget to remind, ”The pearl powder egg white mask should be applied once a week, apply at the end of the day, and do not exceed eight hours.”

”I have already prepared this bottle for you, just apply it directly when you get home, you can apply it thickly, and it doesn’t need to be on long, 15-20 minutes is enough.”

”If Miss Jin is not of sensitive skin type and has no allergies, other materials can be added at home.”

”If you want more moisturizing, add two small spoonfuls of fresh milk, for freshness, add a few drops of fresh lemon juice. However, as pearl powder is very soluble, the amount added doesn’t need to be much, a moderately viscous state is most suitable for skin absorption.”

”Moreover, it’s best to use pure honey without any additives.”

If the honey used in the music restaurant had also been processed, Fu Yu would’ve directly mixed it for them.

Nowadays, it’s very difficult to get genuine natural honey without channels in the market.

Even if there are channels, it’s not always available for procurement.

But for the wealthy Jin family father and daughter, acquiring natural honey should not be an issue.

Jin Yang carefully noted down what Fu Yu said, consulting Fu about specific amounts to add and other detailed issues.

Seeing this, Fu Yu understood what it meant by ”when the child suffers, the parent feels the pain.”

After all necessary instructions, Fu Yu bade farewell and prepared to leave.

This time, Jin Yang personally escorted him to the private room door, his attitude noticeably warmer than before.

”Chef Fu, you’ve troubled yourself! Rest assured, as long as my daughter’s facial scars can be healed, we guarantee there will be no shortage of money or efforts on our part.”

Fu Yu: ”...”

Fu Yu thought, if it couldn’t be healed, would there be a shortage of money and effort then?!

”Alright, I will do my best.”

With that, Fu Yu walked out.

Even if not for making money, just to smoothly handle this considerable figure, he would do his utmost to cook the medicinal cuisine.

Back in the kitchen.

Yao Shi, being quite concerned, came over to ask, ”How did it go? Is the next week’s medicinal menu set?”

Fu Yu nodded, ”Yes, it’s set. Scheduled them for seven in the evening.”

At the music restaurant, after five thirty in the evening, the kitchen barely had any tasks left.

This perfectly allowed Fu Yu to occupy the kitchen counter for the medicinal cuisine.

After Yao Shi left, Fu Yu turned his head to see Zhang Zhen secretly giving him a thumbs up, congratulating him on successfully securing another big client.

Fu Yu also winked at Zhang Zhen, his lips curving into a very proud and smug smile.
