Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

”We were just playing video games at a classmate’s house...” Wang Xiaohu hadn’t finished speaking when he saw his father, Wang Zhong’s, hand raised high. Afraid of getting hit himself, he quickly shouted, ”Don’t hit me! Listen to me, we accidentally stumbled into a human trafficker’s den!”

The air suddenly became quiet, and the eight parents looked at each other in shock.

After the shock, An Hao quickly asked, ”A human trafficker’s den? What’s going on?”

”Mom, do you remember Aunt Yan Huan’s story? She was kidnapped when she was little, wasn’t she? That trafficker is the same one who previously kidnapped Sheng Xiaoguang, also the one He Yue and Guangguang encountered.” Ning Chenyang explained everything that happened today to the adults.

He recounted the sequence of events clearly.

After hearing it, everyone broke into a sweat for the children.

”My little ancestor! You spend your days getting into trouble! Someday, you’ll get yourself into real trouble. If something happens to you, how can I live as your mother?” Liao Ting was both worried and angry but couldn’t bring herself to hit Wang Xiaohu. She ended up tapping him hard on the forehead.

Bean Sprout and Sheng Xiaoguang’s mothers were also terrified, hugging their children tightly while softly scolding them.

”Chief, what do you think we should do?” Bean Sprout’s father asked, ”Should we call the police?”

”We must report this! We have to call the police!” Qin Jian said seriously, ”The police have been trying to catch these traffickers for a long time. It’s not just one person; this is a criminal gang. They work in collaboration and have committed countless crimes. Every time the police receive a tip and go to catch them, they only manage to detain a few. There’s no way to catch them all at once. This time, since we have information on their hideout, we must inform the authorities.”

”I agree! Chief, I will report this right away.” Sheng Xiaoguang’s father stood up to leave, having almost lost his son to traffickers, feeling a profound hatred towards them.

He and his son share a deep-seated hatred for human traffickers.

These people have destroyed many families, tearing them apart and leaving them to live in agony for their entire lives; it’s truly sinful.

”Uncle, we should all go together. We know the area well.” Ning Chenyang proposed to go report.

”Chief...”

”I’ll take the kids with me.”

.........

At night, the police station welcomed some special complainants.

Accompanying the children was a young officer from the military.

The police received the complainants very seriously, listening attentively to each clue they provided. When the police realized that this was the lead they had been waiting to capture the traffickers, everyone’s spirits soared.

”Kids, are you sure the information you provided is accurate?” the police asked.

”Yes, I’m sure.” Ning Chenyang thought for a moment and provided the photo he secretly took from Luo Tong’s house to the police, ”Look at this. I recognize two people in here. I’m certain they are traffickers.”

When the police saw the photo, they were elated and slammed the table, ”Kid, you’re incredible! You’ve helped us tremendously! I’ll arrange for a deployment right away! This time, we will definitely wipe out these evildoers completely.”

Luo Tong felt a bit lonely and uneasy.
