Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1416: Chapter 1416: Two Little Tiresome People

”You can rest assured. I will develop a surgical plan with the least risk,” Yan Ye said.

”In this regard, you’re the expert, so I’ll take your word for it.” Lin Qiushu felt that Yan Ye was reliable, and she felt at ease entrusting her grandmother to him.

When the surgery was mentioned, Yan Ye thought of the micro-invasive technology he had been researching.

So he said to An Hao, ”Because I am not currently focusing solely on research, progress has been slow. For the elderly to undergo thoracotomy, it’s extremely painful. If micro-invasive technology could be developed sooner, it would greatly alleviate patients’ suffering.”

Micro-invasive technology has been increasingly used since the 1990s and even reached the pinnacle of achievement in the future.

It truly has been a blessing for many patients.

An Hao knew that this was always Yan Ye’s focus, and he, too, wanted to return to the hospital to engage in research as soon as possible, but it seemed unlikely at the moment.

”Teacher Yan, I really endorse the micro-invasive technology you mentioned. Many people are researching this topic now. And in the future, this technology will be applied in many areas. Teacher Yan, I also want to return to the hospital to research as soon as possible, but you’ve seen my current situation...”

”I understand.” Actually, Yan Ye brought some good news this time, ”My purpose in visiting wasn’t just to see you. I also wanted to tell you that the patient has shown signs of waking up, and we’ve already conducted a preliminary consultation. They will wake up within three months.”

”Is that true?” An Hao said excitedly.

Finally, her wrongful accusation would be righted. It was infuriating that she had unjustly carried the blame for Ma Mei for so long.

”Of course. Ma Mei is like an ant on a hot pan now; I don’t think she can hold out much longer,” Yan Ye said, narrowing his eyes.

”The sooner the better. I really can’t wait,” An Hao said, clenching her fists tightly.

”It won’t be long now!” Yan Ye was also waiting for that day.

...............

After returning home from the hospital, a busy month passed by in a blur.

While others might gain weight during their postpartum confinement, An Hao had actually lost a good seven or eight pounds.

These two little ones were like relentless debt collectors.

Day and night were flipped upside down.

After eating their fill during the day, they’d just plop down on the bed and sleep soundly, sometimes the whole day through.

At night, they became lively; neither of the two toddlers wanted to sleep.

Not wanting to sleep was one thing, but they refused to even lie in their cribs.

An Hao had to hold them to get any peace, with Boss Ning Chenyang quieting down only in her arms. The second, Ning Chenguang, not only needed to be held but also demanded to be walked around.

These two demanding tots truly wore An Hao out to the point of exhaustion.

Qin Jian sometimes had training and meetings during the day, and he took care of the children at night; he was truly exhausted.

Eventually, An Hao simply adjusted to the little ones’ schedules, and she became a complete night owl, inactive during the day and active at night.

An Ping and their father had visited and each gave her tips, telling her not to let the toddlers sleep during the day at all so that they would settle down at night after a couple of days of this routine.

But no matter how much they were disturbed during the day, these two tots wouldn’t wake, and no matter how much they were disturbed at night, they wouldn’t sleep.

That truly infuriated Qin Jian.

Ning Yibin and his wife also found it strange, wondering which of them the children’s mischievousness came from.

A month later, it was time for the children’s first-month celebration.

The house was too small to accommodate the event, so Ning Yibin booked over ten tables at a restaurant.
