Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1404: Chapter 1404: Mother and Child Separation

She was no other than Song Yueqin!

Having fought with Li Junping before, it was her fate that prevented her from being beaten to death.

Yet, the fight had left her with irreversible damage, the doctor had said that her womb was severely injured, and she had lost the right to ever become a mother in this lifetime.

The fight with Li Junping had spread so far that every household knew about it.

But not a single person felt sympathy for her.

Her reputation was completely destroyed; although Yang Erdan did not despise her and had come to visit her once after inquiring about her condition midway.

Yet, once he knew she would never be able to be a mother, Yang Erdan decisively left her.

In the countryside, having children was viewed as immensely important. Who would want to marry a chicken that ate grains but laid no eggs?

Even more painful than this was the excruciating pain in her lower back.

Li Junping had injured her back and waist, and she would have to endure this pain for the rest of her life. Especially on windy and rainy days, the pain would become unbearable.

Her own life was so tragic, but An Hao’s life was moving from one glory to another; she was so happy, happy as if she had fallen into a jar of honey.

Such a life made her not want to live another second.

Every breath she took felt like her heart was in pain.

”Yueqin, why is it taking you so long to fetch water?” Zhang Juyun had been waiting in the hospital room for ages and had not seen her daughter return, so she went out anxiously looking for her.

She feared that her daughter might be harboring some dark thoughts.

”It’s nothing. My waist hurts; just resting for a while,” said Song Yueqin.

”You silly child, I told you not to move around. Here, I’ll carry the water; you just hold onto me and walk slowly,” said Zhang Juyun, her heart aching for her daughter.

”Mom! Let’s be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. I don’t want to stay here any longer.” The gynecological and obstetrical wards were together, so every day she could see many pregnant women giving birth.

For someone who couldn’t bear children, it was an incredibly painful thing to witness.

Zhang Juyun, of course, understood.

”Alright. We’ll do everything your way,” Zhang Juyun agreed. Her daughter’s life was already so tragic; she only wished to indulge her daughter to make her feel less miserable.

That night, Song Yueqin lay awake in bed, insomnia plaguing her as she thought a lot.

Finally, she found a reason to keep living.

...

This was supposed to be her last day in the hospital, and An Hao was bursting with joy. After spending a week in the hospital, she felt like she was going to go insane.

She felt she was about to lose her mind, pacing back and forth in the cramped ten-square-meter room.

”Mom! I’ll go take care of the paperwork! You stay and look after the kids.”

”That won’t do. You should be the one watching the kids, and I’ll go handle the paperwork! You’re still in your postpartum period; you can’t catch a draft! Otherwise, you’ll have health issues later,” Zhang Yun didn’t agree with An Hao going and went to find the doctor herself.

If the discharge was permitted, the doctor would sign the discharge papers, allowing her to leave the hospital first and then settle the paperwork later.

An Hao alone in the hospital room packed up all of her belongings, watching her two children sleep soundly. On her way out, she closed the door and headed to the restroom.

Song Yueqin took advantage of Zhang Juyun going to get the doctor’s signature and stealthily slipped out of the room.

Finding the room An Hao was in, she listened for quiet inside, gingerly pushed open the door of the room, and saw no one inside, just the two little ones lying peacefully in their beds.

She moved forward, picked up one of them and began to run outside.

Yes!

She was going to tear mother and child apart! She wanted An Hao to spend her whole life searching for this child!
