Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1407: Chapter 1407: Settling Things Today

”This isn’t just suffocating a child! This is blatantly kidnapping a child.”

An Hao abruptly stopped, turned her direction underfoot, and pushed her way into the crowd. The scene that met her eyes nearly made her faint.

”Let go! If you don’t let go right now, we won’t be polite anymore,” a few men who had stepped in to help warned Song Yueqin with their final notice.

”Don’t waste your words on her. The child is nearly being strangled to death!” Lin Qiushu remembered, her forehead drenched in sweat.

”Alright. Then we’ll take action.” Just as the men reached out to pry Song Yueqin’s hands away, a woman burst from nowhere.

She stepped forward without a word, grabbed Song Yueqin’s neck with both hands, and clenched her teeth as she exerted all her strength in a throttle.

”An Hao!” Lin Qiushu was stunned.

”Let go! Release my child, or I’ll strangle you to death!” An Hao screamed at Song Yueqin with eyes blazing red.

She looked like a mad beast, and her maternal instincts seemed to have also triggered her strength, as she gripped Song Yueqin’s neck so tightly that her flesh sunk deep into hers.

Song Yueqin felt suffocated as the strength in her hands suddenly waned, and Lin Qiushu quickly took a few steps back while clutching the child.

She held the child tightly, fearing someone might snatch him away again.

”Hey, young lady! You better let go. If you keep this up, you might actually kill someone!” the surrounding crowd urged An Hao.

An Hao wouldn’t release her grip or relent. She had no intention of sparing someone who endangered her child, even if it killed her.

”Come on, don’t just stand there. Let’s help separate them before this turns fatal.”

But they had underestimated the astonishing strength a mother could unleash in a moment of danger. As Song Yueqin began to roll her eyes back, several men couldn’t pry An Hao off.

Lin Qiushu could understand An Hao’s feelings.

It was like her grandmother who had been plagued with ailments. Years ago, doctors abroad had said she should have died already.

Yet, the conviction to find her long-lost relatives and the culprit who had destroyed her family sustained her through seasons and years.

”An Hao! Your child is fine, just let go! If you kill her, your child will lose his mother! Can you bear to see him at such a young age...” Lin Qiushu shouted at An Hao, but before she could finish, An Hao’s strength suddenly drained away, as if it had been siphoned off, and she loosened her grip.

Song Yueqin gasped for air as if she had just escaped death.

That’s when Zhang Juyun rushed over, seeing the commotion, her tears nearly falling, ”It’s sinful! Truly sinful! Do you want to die? How could you do something like this?”

”Yes! I want to die! If I die, she shouldn’t live a good life either,” Song Yueqin said with a resolute gaze fixed on An Hao. ”I had a good life before, all because of you, you ruined my originally happy life! You destroyed my future! I hate you, An Hao! I curse you!”

”Paths are made by those who walk them! If you’ve taken the wrong path, you should reflect on your own faults. Why do you always blame others? Song Yueqin, you’ve been scheming against me for so many years! But your schemes backfired, trapping yourself instead. For years, I have endured enough from you. Today, I’ll settle the scores with you thoroughly, for this life and the last! You owe me, and today we end it all!” An Hao gritted her teeth and said.
