Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1244: Chapter 1244: Take Back What Belongs to You

This was too strange, she was merely selling a bracelet, yet why did it attract that woman?

Before, she had no interaction with her, nor did she recognize her.

Why did she want to track her?

Did she want to buy her bracelet, or what?

An Hao couldn’t straighten out her thoughts for a while, but she felt it was best not to encounter that woman again. She sensed that the woman was quite knowledgeable; the emotion that surfaced when she saw the bracelet seemed very excited.

It seemed that the bracelet really shouldn’t be sold off easily.

Now facing a real dilemma, whether to dispose of the bracelet or not, Li Jun seemed determined to take the bracelet back; should she return it or not?

Just as An Hao hesitated and didn’t know how to solve it, Qin Jian came back. He pushed open the door and saw An Hao sitting on the bed, lost in thought, gazing dully at the shadow of the trees outside the window, pondering who knows what.

Qin Jian took off his military uniform, hung it on the hanger, came over, and sat beside An Hao, ”What are you thinking about? The moment I came in, I saw you lost in thought? I heard Mom say you went shopping by yourself today. Where are the little clothes you bought? Let me see them.”

An Hao snapped back to reality and grabbed Qin Jian’s hands, ”I didn’t go to buy clothes today. I went to the Jade Store in the city center. I wanted to sell the bracelet your foster mother gave me.”

”Why would you sell it just like that?” Qin Jian held her small hand gently and stroked it, ”I heard it’s a bracelet handed down from our ancestors. Isn’t it a pity to sell it?”

Mentioning this, An Hao felt a surge of anger, ”This morning when I went to the hospital for a check-up, I happened to meet Qin Fen and your foster mother. The moment she saw me, she asked for the bracelet back. She said she had to get the bracelet back by any means. Tell me, should something given away ever be demanded back? Even if I were willing to return it, I should get back what belongs to me, right? The money spent on Qin Fen’s wedding might as well be a gift from me to her, but what about the times Qin Fen sold our family’s vegetables from the garden at a low price? How much money did he make from that? These were essentially siphoned off from the An Family. I have to take it back.”

After all, business had been getting tougher recently.

Ever since An Hao’s vegetables were pulled out from the troops, her income had drastically decreased! The market narrowed, and surplus vegetables piled up. An Ping was already working hard to find new markets, but competition had already picked up in the market.

Finding a stable, big customer wasn’t so easy.

Thus, the impact Qin Fen brought to the An Family was substantial, and she couldn’t just ignore it!

Eating her food and drinking her drink without gratitude, and yet repaying kindness with ingratitude, she would not support such an ingrate!

She must demand the Qin Family return what was to be retrieved!

”Mom asked you for the bracelet again?” Qin Jian frowned.

”Indeed, that’s exactly why I’m angry.”

”Then let’s talk to her and find a solution. It’s better not to sell the bracelet if it can be helped.” Qin Jian just felt that since the bracelet was an antique, it really would be a shame to sell it.

After all, having been passed down through generations, if there isn’t a pressing need for money, it’s better not to sell it.

”Ah, look at how useless my brain has become,” An Hao slapped her head, ”What I originally wanted to tell you was that today when I went to sell the bracelet, I asked the owner of the Jade Store to appraise its value. When he saw it, his eyes nearly popped out. I feel this item must be priced highly.”
