Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1205: Chapter 1205: Blushing with Shame

No matter what, he couldn’t be the one to break her wings of dreams.

”Hmm. It shouldn’t.” Time had passed for so long, some things and feelings had already become somewhat blurred.

At the beginning, her desire to study medicine stemmed from her mother’s death due to a terrible heart disease, which is why she wanted to become a doctor, specifically a cardiologist.

She didn’t want to see too many people die from this dreadful disease that struck fear into the hearts of others.

Later, her sole reason for wanting to attend Military Medical University was because of Qin Jian—she wanted to be in the same city as him and stand shoulder to shoulder with him.

She wanted to be the Mu Mian tree by his side, not the soft vine clinging to him.

”I knew you wouldn’t.”

”But that’s what I have already chosen, what can I do?” An Hao said helplessly.

”What can be done? Just have to endure it.”

An Hao was moved by his plain and honest words. She gently kissed his hand, ”It’s so good to have you here! Thank you.”

”Do we need to be so formal with each other? Alright, no more talking, there are still a few hours till dawn, let’s sleep quickly,” Qin Jian said as he gently patted and lulled her to sleep.

The next day, An Hao took a list to do the checkup, the ultrasound showed no problems, the HCG results were also fine, the doctor prescribed her medication to sustain the pregnancy and told her to finish it at home.

She definitely had to rest in bed for these days.

The results being fine, Qin Jian breathed a sigh of relief. Then he went to General Surgery to request leave for An Hao.

Ji Chuan was genuinely startled to hear that An Hao was so exhausted she nearly miscarried. If that had been the case, his guilt would have been immense.

Thus, he quickly agreed to Qin Jian’s request, giving An Hao a week off with a wave of his hand.

Qin Jian carried An Hao into the car, then headed toward his military base.

On the way, An Hao said to him, ”Let’s not tell mom and dad about this news to avoid worrying them. Let’s stay here this week. Think of a good excuse so mom and dad won’t suspect or get upset, and we’ll keep it under wraps for a week.”

”Okay, rest assured!” Qin Jian agreed.

When the car arrived back at the compound, Qin Jian instructed the young warrior who was driving to leave, and he carried An Hao upstairs himself.

”You can put me down, I can walk,” An Hao, finding it too tiring to go upstairs, didn’t want Qin Jian to exert so much effort for just walking a few steps.

”No way!” Qin Jian firmly refused. ”You must follow the doctor’s orders. You absolutely cannot walk around freely. The doctor said you need to rest in bed this week. You can’t take yourself lightly, and you can’t take the baby lightly either.”

”When did I ever take it lightly? I just don’t want you to get too tired,” An Hao said, her voice muffled against his chest.

”You’re underestimating your man. Remember, I used to carry 20 kilograms, a gun in my hands, and easily cover five kilometers cross-country. Carrying you? You’re as light as a feather. Not just one of you, even if there were another one of you, it would still be no problem for me.”

”Okay, if you insist, then carry on.” It was actually quite convenient for her.

Just as the two of them were about to reach the doorstep, they saw Zhang Lanxiang standing outside, evidently waiting for them.

Suddenly seeing An Hao being carried by Qin Jian, she burst into laughter: ”Oh my, look at this sweet young couple, so cuddly in broad daylight, you’re making an old woman blush...”
