Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1221: Chapter 1221: She Won’t Carry This Black Pot

”Am I talking nonsense? Who says I’m talking nonsense? It wasn’t just me who saw it, many people did, and is the director still trying to deny it?” An Hao looked at him, slowly uttering a sentence.

After these words, a peculiar meaning crept into the eyes of the other hospital leaders.

”Director, is this really true?”

”Are you sure you actually saw what you claim? Without evidence, you should not speak recklessly.”

”What I’m saying is the truth!” An Hao asserted firmly.

”Are you deliberately trying to get back at me? When have I ever accepted bribes from patients? Show your evidence!” the director said angrily, slapping the table and glaring at An Hao.

He had been director for a long time and had never encountered such a recklessly bold intern doctor.

An Hao, noting that the other hospital leaders were almost convinced, and seeing the director quite angry, corners of her mouth lifted into a sneer, ”Director, how do you feel right now? Furious, aren’t you? Do you feel utterly defenseless? That’s exactly how I feel right now.”

”You!!!” the director trembled with rage, ”How dare you make such groundless accusations! You are slandering my reputation!”

”I have just slandered you, and I admit I was intentionally talking nonsense! But what about me? Who will restore my innocence? I’m just an intern doctor. The hospital wanted to provide an explanation for this matter, so they made me the scapegoat, didn’t they? Are intern doctors always destined to be the wrongdoers? Everyone saw me handle the syringe, but I want to ask, did anyone actually see me take out the needle? Therefore, I do not accept the outcome of this issue! The hospital must provide me with a fair and justified resolution! Otherwise, I will seek justice from the hospital in my own way!” An Hao’s every word was deliberate, each sentence resonating with force.

”Even if we reinvestigate, there’s no evidence proving it wasn’t you who did it! There are difficulties with this case! How do you expect us to investigate?” The director also felt quite troubled.

”Difficulties in investigation are not a reason to make such a rash decision! I do not accept it! You’re virtually murdering my career! My life is just beginning, and I absolutely refuse to carry this dark cloud over my medical career and fade into oblivion!” An Hao dropped her statement sternly.

Her language, gaze, and gestures all demonstrated her determination.

The hospital leaders also began to feel that perhaps they had been too hasty in their judgment and decided to hold a brief meeting while everyone was present.

The meeting resulted in a reevaluation of the decision concerning An Hao.

An Hao’s internship at the affiliated hospital was suspended pending a new investigation into the case!

Only after the investigation results were conclusive and responsibilities clearly defined would the findings be announced.

”What if you can’t come up with a clear explanation?” An Hao asked.

She had to consider every possibility. What if, over time, the hospital forgot then what?

She certainly couldn’t bear the brunt of this blame for Ma Mei for a lifetime!

”We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it!” the director replied.

”Fine!” An Hao agreed, but she had one condition, a very reasonable one, ”Since the case is up for re-investigation, implying that there are doubts about the outcome, I demand that a new general hospital meeting be called to clear my name and offer an apology to me!”

”Don’t be too demanding!” Wasn’t that akin to slapping oneself in the face in public? The director wouldn’t agree to that!
