Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1222: Chapter 1222: A Special Complex

”My request is not at all excessive! Since you can’t find evidence that I did this, then I am innocent! You can’t assume I’m guilty right from the start! Therefore, I demand that the institution apologizes to me, which is not excessive at all!” An Hao said resolutely, ”Even the public security organs must rely on evidence when solving a murder case, and cannot conclude that a suspect is guilty without evidence. How can you just conduct a study and decide everything about me? I object! This is not reasonable or proper!”

In the office, a small disturbance ensued afterward.

The hospital leaders discussed for a while and decided to agree to An Hao’s request.

They convened another meeting to apologize for the arbitrary decision taken by the institution and to conduct a serious investigation into the matter again.

No matter the outcome, the process must be treated seriously and strictly.

After struggling all day long, they finally cleared up the matter.

An Hao had achieved a small victory in her fight for her innocence and rights. However, she could no longer stay at the affiliated hospital temporarily.

After all, with such an issue arising, the hospital could not let her continue her internship as if nothing had happened.

That’s just as well.

Since getting pregnant, standing at the operating table had indeed been very tiring, and since they wouldn’t let her intern, she would go home and await the outcome.

This matter was not over yet.

Although the hospital had already apologized for the incident, as the person involved in the accident, she could not escape her involvement, and the hospital still reserved the right to hold her accountable.

Most importantly, she could not allow this incident to become a significant blemish that followed her throughout her career.

When it was time to get off work, An Hao packed up her things and waited for Qin Jian to pick her up and take her home.

Honestly, her mood was really low.

Ji Chuan came out of the operating room, changed his clothes, and arrived at the doctor’s on-call room. Seeing An Hao sitting alone by the window, staring off into space, he walked over, knocked on her desk, and said, ”What’s the matter? Can’t bear to leave?”

An Hao’s eyes reddened, and she looked up at Ji Chuan, trying hard to squeeze out a faint smile: ”It is a bit upsetting. But it’s okay, from now on I can really rest at home and take care of my pregnancy until the baby is born, and then I can unabashedly stand at the operating table again.”

”Do you really like this profession?” Ji Chuan took out a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to her, ”Wipe your tears.”

An Hao reached up to touch her face and realized that tears had already covered her face.

”Yes.” An Hao wiped her tears and smiled, ”I have a special attachment to this profession! And, I really love the feeling of holding a scalpel!”

Upon hearing this, Ji Chuan cheerfully said, ”Wanting to hold a scalpel isn’t hard at all! Just wait!”

After saying this, he turned and left, leaving An Hao alone in the on-call room.

In a short while, he came back, holding a shiny scalpel in his hand: ”I’m giving this to you as a gift!”

Seeing the scalpel, An Hao suddenly laughed: ”This is the first time I’ve seen someone give a scalpel as a gift!”

”It’s not about what you give, but whether the recipient loves it! Did I hit the nail on the head?” Ji Chuan leaned against the desk, smiling at her with a hooked corner of his mouth.

”You did!” An Hao said moved, ”Thank you, Director Ji!”

”No need to thank me!” Ji Chuan said generously, ”It’s the least I could do.”

”But, having lost a scalpel, how will you explain it to the hospital? ”

”That... you don’t need to worry about... Take good care of yourself. Yan Ye and I will thoroughly investigate this matter, and we will definitely clear your name, allowing you to return to the operating table and restart your career soon!”
