Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1237: Chapter 1337: Fate Not Yet Over

Yan Huan forced a smile and said, ”A breakthrough? Yes! Does breaking up count?”

”What? Really? You broke up? He wasn’t joking?” An Hao couldn’t believe he had ended it so decisively.

”Actually, we never really got along well. I don’t know what got into him last night, he came to my house drunk and crazed! In the end... he almost... kissed me, and this morning my mom interrogated him, asking when he planned to come over to propose. As a result, he said he would definitely not stay in Nancheng City, and old Comrade Feng got so mad he drove him away. That’s quite the breakthrough.” He skipped the whole holding hands phase and went straight to breaking up.

”Can’t you go with him? To break up over such a small matter, isn’t it a pity? It was not easy for you to find someone you liked, and to end it like this, wouldn’t that be a waste.” If two people truly love each other, can such a trivial matter really stand in their way?

”I can’t leave here.” After saying that, Yan Huan explained the reasons related to her body to An Hao.

”Ah? That’s indeed quite unfortunate. However, at least the relationship between you two has progressed further, no need to keep each other guessing. I feel like things between you two won’t end so easily.” An Hao was still optimistic about their relationship, believing that if two people fell in love, how could they break up over such a small reason?

”You really believe in him.” Yan Huan murmured.

”Of course. Being hopelessly romantic is a Cheng Family trait! Cheng old master said it himself.” An Hao believed this as well.

”Really?” Yan Huan’s eyes lit up.

”Of course, rest easy,” An Hao said cheerfully, ”After my calculations, your fate together isn’t over yet, you’re sure to have a wonderful marriage in the future.”

”Hahaha.” Yan Huan felt much better after hearing this, ”An the Wise, I’ll take your auspicious words.”

”Yeah. It definitely will.” An Hao laughed along.

Zhang Yun, seeing that these two who usually didn’t see eye to eye were now getting along, felt very relieved. ”Wouldn’t it have been great if you were like this earlier?”

”Isn’t it not too late now?” Yan Huan replied with a smile.

”That’s right. If you’re free in the future, come by and keep An Hao company more often. Since our families live close by and she might get bored during her pregnancy, you could keep her company for a walk.” Zhang Yun knew that young people thought differently from the elders, so she wanted to find a companion for An Hao.

”Sure. Don’t worry. An Hao and I got to know each other through confrontation. From now on, I’ll get along well with her, she’s quite all right,” Yan Huan said.

”That’s great.” An Hao had finished eating and wiped her mouth, ”I need to go to the hospital for a routine prenatal checkup. Do you want to come with me?”

”The affiliated hospital?”

”No, the military district general hospital!” An Hao said, ”It’s closer to home.”

Yan Huan laughed, ”You’re not plotting another scheme to create a chance for me and Cheng Yue to meet, are you?”

”Think whatever you like! Just tell me, are you coming or not?”

”I’m going, going, going!” Yan Huan quickly agreed, ”I’ll go change my clothes right now!”

An Hao changed into a loose outfit and flat shoes, got ready, and waited quite a while for Yan Huan, who finally arrived fashionably late.
