Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1234: Chapter 1334 Please Leave

Before Yan Huan could speak, Feng Yuzhi rushed to say, ”Of course not! All of Huanhuan’s relationships are here, and she’s doing well in the military area. What could she possibly do in Jiangning? Besides, I have only these two kids, and Huanhuan is the apple of my eye! I definitely can’t let her leave Nancheng.”

”Old Feng, you hold off on talking. This matter depends on what the kids think. Let’s see what Yan Huan thinks and what Xiaocheng thinks,” said Yan Luquan.

”If possible, I wouldn’t want to leave Nancheng either.” After all, all her relatives were here, and she got along quite well with a group of sisters in the military area.

She didn’t want to frequently change environments.

”What about you, Xiaocheng?” Yan Luquan looked towards Cheng Yue.

Cheng Yue glanced at Yan Huan, seeing that she was quietly looking at him, seemingly waiting for his answer.

At that moment, the words Cheng Yue had in mind were never spoken. Under the scrutiny of the Yan Family, he only said, ”My parents have only me as their son now.”

Feng Yuzhi was stunned, ”What do you mean by that?”

”His sister just passed away this year. He’s the only child left in the family,” explained Yan Ye.

”So, if Yan Huan can’t follow me to Jiangning in the future, I probably won’t be able to come to Nancheng,” Cheng Yue sighed, lowering his head.

”Will you leave after you graduate?” Yan Huan put down her chopsticks and looked at him solemnly, ”Don’t you plan to comply with the allocation?”

Cheng Yue smiled, ”Even if I have to comply with the allocation, my family will definitely find a way to get me back to Nancheng. After all, they are also getting older, and they have only me as a son. They can’t just let me wander everywhere.”

”Then why did you come to Nancheng before? I heard your sister has always been abroad, so why did your parents let you come to Nancheng for university at that time?” Yan Huan pressed on.

She had learned quite a bit about the Cheng Family.

Because she paid attention to Cheng Yue, she had also learned quite a bit about Cheng Yu.

What she couldn’t understand was why Cheng Yue could leave his parents back then, but now he couldn’t. Could it just be because of Cheng Yu’s death? At that time, although Cheng Yu hadn’t died, hadn’t she always been abroad?

The Cheng Family must have known about Cheng Yu’s illness and that Cheng Yu would eventually leave the world, so why were they able to send Cheng Yue to Nancheng back then? And now, why must they drag Cheng Yue back?

”Back then, I was immature, I was rebellious!” Cheng Yue confessed, ”I just didn’t want to live in my dad’s shadow or follow the life he had planned for me. So, when he wanted me to join the military, I insisted on studying medicine. Now, with my sister gone, my parents are too devastated. At this time, I can’t afford to be too...”

”Okay. I understand,” Yan Huan interrupted Cheng Yue, ”So you mean to say, if I don’t follow you to Jiangning in the future, you will definitely not stay in Nancheng, right?”

Cheng Yue was silent for a while, then slowly nodded, ”Yes.”

”What?” Feng Yuzhi angrily put down her chopsticks, ”So after all this hassle, you’re still going to leave Nancheng?”

”Yes. So, I hope Yan Huan would come with me,” Cheng Yue said, looking at Yan Huan.

”Yan Huan will definitely not go with you. If you like her, then stay in Nancheng. If you feel you can’t stay in Nancheng, then you better leave quickly,” Feng Yuzhi finished speaking, stood up, and went to open the door, ”Please leave!”
