Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 990: Chapter 990: Burning with Rage

Hearing her words, An Hao puzzled to the extreme, ”What exactly did Cheng Yu do to you? Why are you so scared?”

”I was threatened. If I dare to admit that the paper given to me by Cheng Yu and which I edited slightly before getting it published, that scar-faced man said he’d make me spend the rest of my life in bed,” Lei Linxuan pleaded bitterly, ”This wasn’t my doing, I can’t admit to plagiarizing you. Otherwise, if the school expels me, my studies would have been for nothing.”

An Hao nodded, ”Tell me everything! Lay it all out!”

Lei Linxuan recounted to An Hao the whole situation regarding her paper.

Initially, she really couldn’t write it, and when An Hao said her own paper was making progress, Lei Linxuan had actually decided to give up.

Cheng Yu came to her with a paper, telling her to edit it and submit it as soon as possible.

She merely wanted to help.

Thus, the subsequent events unfolded.

After the incident, Cheng Yu adamantly told her to keep silent, and even resorted to such methods later, which was utterly abhorrent!

”She said she absolutely wouldn’t allow me to speak! She wanted you to taste the bitterness of something that’s rightfully yours being snatched away by someone else just because they were quicker,” Lei Linxuan said, tears already streaming down her face.

An Hao’s chest heaved violently, her mood like molten lava churning, scorching her heart!

All this was meticulously planned targeted against her!

Cheng Yu! Cheng Yu! How venomous her intentions!

”An Hao! Are you alright? An Hao... You won’t say anything, will you?” Lei Linxuan, seeing her expression was off, turned pale with fear, ”I’m telling you all this so that you stop pushing me, to let me off the hook for now... I’m not asking you to...”

Before Lei Linxuan could finish, An Hao, infuriated, turned on her heel and walked toward the teachers’ apartment block inside the campus.

Today, she had to confront Cheng Yu!

Inside the teachers’ apartment block, Cheng Yu was in the kitchen making dumplings.

Today was Cheng Yue’s birthday. He couldn’t go home and missed the dumplings there, so he pleaded with his sister Cheng Yu to make some.

Of course, Li Zhi and Zhang Chaoqian wouldn’t miss the chance to scrounge a free meal.

If they were going to mooch, they couldn’t just do so without pitch in, so they were obliged to help out.

These few people were all happily making dumplings and chatting, the atmosphere unprecedentedly good.

”The dumplings are ready, you guys go wash your hands, I’ll cook the dumplings,” Cheng Yu said, holding a bamboo tray of dumplings, ready to cook them.

Suddenly, a series of urgent, forceful knocks rang out from the outside.

”Who could it be at this hour?” Cheng Yue muttered to himself, ”I’ll go open the door.”

Cheng Yue went to the door, opened it, and saw An Hao standing outside.

”Little junior sister! Why have you come?” Cheng Yue felt somewhat surprised.

”Is Cheng Yu here?” An Hao’s demeanor was cold.

”She’s here! Do you need her for something?” Seeing her expression seemed unfriendly, Cheng Yue asked another question.

An Hao didn’t answer him but pushed past him and headed straight into the apartment.

”Hey, little junior sister!” Cheng Yue caught An Hao’s wrist, ”What are you doing? Tell me! Did my sister do something to wrong you? Is it about your paper being plagiarized? I’ve asked, it wasn’t her...”

”Let go!” An Hao turned to look at him, her voice a low bark.

Seeing the flames rising in An Hao’s eyes, Cheng Yue knew she was angry and feared she might act rashly in her anger, ”I won’t let go! You are angry, calm down first!”
