Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 971: Chapter 971: It’s Definitely Plagiarism!

”I don’t think there’s anything humiliating about it at all,” An Hao put away the magazine, ”People like you who have never even tried and spend their days smugly mocking others, are the ones who are truly humiliating and ridiculous.”

”Fine, you’re sharp-tongued, and I can’t argue with you. But I bet you really want to cry right now, don’t you? Go on then, run to Yan Ye and have a good cry.” An Kexin said, lifting her proud head and walking toward the dormitory.

An Hao clutched the magazine tightly, bit her teeth, and without looking back, headed to Yan Ye’s dormitory.

Having just pulled an all-nighter and performed two surgeries, Yan Ye was getting ready to shower and sleep when he heard the sound of urgent knocking at the door.

He opened the door to find An Hao standing outside holding a copy of the medical journal.

”The paper got published already?”

”No, it’s not mine,” An Hao hung her head, paused, and then said with disappointment, ”Lei Linxuan’s paper was selected.”

Yuanye’s eyebrows slightly furrowed and he stepped aside to let An Hao in.

”Where is it, on which page? Let me see it.”

”I just got the journal and haven’t looked at it yet,” An Hao said as she handed it to Yan Ye, ”Why don’t you read it first.”

Yan Ye took the journal and found the paper in the table of contents, then turned to its page.

He had only read a few lines when his eyebrows involuntarily knit together.

And the further he read, the tighter his brows furrowed, making for a rather heart-wrenching sight.

”Teacher Yan, why do you look like that? Could it be because her writing isn’t good enough?” An Hao moved closer to look at the content of the paper herself.

She hadn’t expected much, but upon seeing it, she was completely shocked.

”Is this... the paper published by Lei Linxuan?” An Hao snatched the journal from Yan Ye’s hands and began to read, growing more horrified by the moment, ”This... this is my paper, isn’t it? The main content is practically carved out of a template, and the data involved in the paper, these are all from surgical information she accessed! How could this be? How could this happen?”

The more An Hao spoke, the more agitated she became, her entire body starting to tremble.

”What do you think of this situation?” Yan Ye’s gaze fell on An Hao’s face, it was clear that this was a case of plagiarism.

This was a paper that An Hao had consulted him on countless times and made countless revisions; the contents were known like the back of their hands to both of them, and no one knew it better than them.

”Plagiarism! This is absolutely plagiarism,” a flame of anger flared in An Hao’s eyes, ”I would have never thought Lei Linxuan would plagiarize my paper and even publish it before me.”

Just a short while ago her paper was still without direction, yet in just a few days, she managed to write and submit it.

Without even a word of it to me!

So it was plagiarism!

”Sit down.” Compared to An Hao’s agitation, Yan Ye was relatively calm.

He had encountered such cases of academic plagiarism abroad and understood An Hao’s anger.

Anger is useless; more importantly is to understand the circumstances of the event and to find evidence of the plagiarism.

An Hao sat down at the desk, and Yan Ye handed her a cup of hot water: ”Don’t be upset, try to recall now, how was your paper plagiarized?”

An Hao’s hands trembled gently as she held the cup, realizing the anger from being deceived was not something she could calm down in a short time.
