Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 963: Chapter 963 Submission

A faint light from a flashlight appeared at the end of the corridor in the laboratory.

The door was twisted open.

A figure sneaked in, made a round in the laboratory, then stopped, hesitated for a while, and turned to leave.

..........................................

Half a month later.

Yan Ye inquired about the status of An Hao’s paper.

”It’s almost ready. Teacher Yan, but the graduation thesis needs a defense session, so I’d have to wait until next year, right?”

”I did have such a plan before,” but seeing that what An Hao wrote was indeed good, and after the two of them made reasonable revisions, Yan Ye also thought it could be submitted to a national medical journal for a try, ”but now I’ve changed my mind. You go and submit it! ’The Road of Medicine’ is a national medical journal, try sending your paper there and see. Once published, you know very well what will follow, don’t you...”

An Hao was surprised, ”Have I really reached that level?”

Seeing An Hao’s surprised face, Yan Ye couldn’t help but laugh and said, ”Even if you haven’t, don’t I still have your back?”

An Hao blinked and laughed along, ”Am I being a bit too presumptuous?”

”Not at all!” Yan Ye’s eyes were filled with laughter, looking at her, ”You can be even more confident.”

”Thank you, Teacher Yan,” An Hao said, after which she shook the paper in her hand, ”I will put Teacher Yan’s name in front.”

”No. Your name comes first; you independently completed 80 percent of this paper.”

”But the most essential 20 percent was with Teacher Yan’s help.”

”As of now, it seems I don’t need to publish a few more papers to prove my strength or earn any honors...” Yan Ye finished speaking and lightly tapped the table a few times, ”but I do need to prove to people that I have nurtured an outstanding student...”

An Hao looked at Yan Ye very gratefully, ”I understand.”

When I returned to the dormitory, I began to revise the paper overnight until I was also satisfied. Then I put it into an envelope at home, signed the mailing address, and was ready to submit it first thing the next morning.

Once everything was packed up, it was already three o’clock in the morning.

As she rose from the desk, preparing to go back to her bed, she accidentally kicked the stool, waking Lei Linxuan, who was fast asleep.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes, poked her head out to look, and seeing An Hao just about to go to bed, asked in a drowsy voice, ”Why are you going to bed so late? Don’t you still have an internship tomorrow?”

An Hao got into bed and said softly, ”I’ve just finished organizing the paper; I won’t go to the internship tomorrow because I’m going to submit it. When the time comes, you can explain to the teacher for me.”

”Oh!” Lei Linxuan turned over, ready to go back to sleep, but then heard An Hao ask her, ”How’s your paper coming along? I haven’t seen you go to Teacher Yan lately! He has been asking about you.”

”Lately I’ve been continuously looking for Teacher Cheng. Whenever I see Teacher Yan, I get a bit nervous, and it somewhat inhibits my thinking.”

”Does Teacher Cheng make you feel better?” An Hao smiled and snuggled into her own blanket.

”Yes,” Lei Linxuan’s drowsiness faded a lot, her heart filled with immense gratitude when she brought up Cheng Yu, ”She clarified the direction for me, helped me find materials. In short, with her help, I was able to complete my paper very quickly.”

”You’ve completed it?” An Hao was genuinely surprised, ”You never mentioned it before?”

”Not only have I finished it, but I have also submitted it. Seeing how busy you were recently, I didn’t tell you,” Lei Linxuan said.
