Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 953: Chapter 953: This is Called the Desire to Conquer

”In plain terms, you’re talking about a man who can make you obey him,” Cheng Yue hit the nail on the head.

”You’re not wrong at all.” She had been waiting for such a man for too long.

If I never show up, she’s willing to keep waiting.

She didn’t want a love she had to settle for!

”Strong personality!” Cheng Yue looked at Yan Huan, his eyes shining black under the moonlight, ”Do you know my criteria for choosing a partner?”

”No idea! What kind of criteria could you, a little brat, have?” Yan Huan laughed for a rare occasion, having a peaceful chat with Cheng Yue for the first time.

”Who’s a little brat?” Cheng Yue frowned, his expression quite displeased, ”I am already a man! With my own independent thoughts and opinions.”

”Alright. This man here, please share your views on choosing a partner!” Yan Huan went along with him.

”I like women who don’t like to be controlled,” Cheng Yue said with a grin, looking at Yan Huan.

”You’re a masochist!”

”What do you know? This is called a desire to conquer!” Men like to conquer an unruly woman; it gives them a greater sense of achievement.

Conversely, the easier a woman is to get, the less likely she is to be cherished.

Although Cheng Yue was not the fickle type, he didn’t fancy women who are too submissive; he liked girls with independent views and a unique character.

Perhaps, this was because he looked up to his older sister Cheng Yu in the past?

Cheng Yu’s personality had somewhat influenced him.

”Fine. I don’t understand your world,” Yan Huan spread her hands.

”No rush, you can get to know me slowly,” Cheng Yue stretched, completely sobered up now.

”What do you mean?” Yan Huan eyed him suspiciously.

”Didn’t your family’s old man say so? He told me to visit your house often! It’s rare for the old man to like me, and I like your family’s old man too. I’ve decided to come over when I have nothing to do, mooch off your meals, and have heart-to-hearts with the old man.”

”You wouldn’t dare!”

Yan Huan was worried; if Old Feng and Old Yan saw Cheng Yue too often, they might get certain ideas.

”Let’s try and see.” Cheng Yue, with a sinister close-up to Yan Huan, said, ”Has anyone told you, you look like an old witch with a poison apple when you’re angry?”

”Cheng Yue!” This terrible guy, taking pleasure in mocking her, ”If you say one more bad word about me, I won’t be polite anymore!”

”Not polite? How? Wanna fight?” Cheng Yue spread out, face full of provocation, ”I’ll give you one hand! How about it? If you can beat me, from now on I’ll be well-behaved. You tell me to go east, I’ll go east, you tell me to chase a dog, I won’t chase a chicken. I’ll definitely stop teasing you.”

”You’re pretty confident, huh? You think I can’t do it?” After all, she was someone who got up at 6:30 every morning for exercises.

”Of course.”

”Then let’s do this.” Yan Huan said, squared up, clenched her fist, and swung a punch right towards Cheng Yue’s face.

Cheng Yue quickly dodged, raised a large palm, and tightly engulfed Yan Huan’s fist, quickly saying, ”Your punch is too slow, lacks strength in the arm, and your stance isn’t stable.”

”You think you’re a drill sergeant?” Yan Huan frowned, ”A brat like you lecturing me.”

Cheng Yue smiled: ”I basically grew up brawling with the scouts, thrown into the military by my old man as a kid. Forget one hand, I could subdue you with my eyes closed.”
