Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 393: Chapter 393: Someone Took Advantage of Me

”To have met Qin Jian is my good fortune,” An Hao said from the heart. ”Heaven has been kind to me, allowing me to meet him! Aunt, Qin Jian and I truly love each other, and I will treasure our relationship!”

”I believe that very much! And it puts my mind at ease!” Zhang Yun said with a smile. ”An Hao, if it came to making some concessions for Qin Jian, would you do it?”

An Hao listened, sensing an implication in her words but unable to immediately discern what it meant, ”What ’concessions’ are you referring to?”

”Well...” Zhang Yun thought for a moment, then waved her hand dismissively, ”Never mind. It’s nothing! I’m just being too selfish and wishful. Don’t worry about it! You should get along well with Qin Jian in the future. I’m looking forward to the day you’ll call me ’mom’.”

An Hao smiled sheepishly, ”Mhm.”

Zhang Yun and An Hao found a clean little diner outside the hospital and ordered a pound of dumplings to eat.

The two of them chatted and ate, laughing heartily from time to time.

Meanwhile, in a corner of the diner, a man and a woman crouched low while eating their meal.

The table before them was filled with delicious dishes, obviously much more abundant than the others in the diner.

”Come on, Fengfeng, eat up,” the man sitting opposite Qin Feng kept adding food to her plate.

”Song Fei! Don’t think you can make up for the hurt you’ve caused me with some food,” Qin Feng stuffed some braised pork into her mouth and mumbled indistinctly.

”Fengfeng, don’t be angry! Can’t you see how much I like you? Besides, I drank too much that night, and you looked so beautiful. I couldn’t help myself,” Song Fei said, scratching his head, ”Fengfeng, I swear I will treat you well. I’ll definitely marry you.”

”I don’t want your damn marriage!” Qin Feng glared fiercely at Song Fei, ”I don’t care, you’re paying for the surgery this time! And you’re giving me an extra two hundred yuan as compensation. Otherwise, I will never forgive you.”

”Alright, alright. Whatever you say,” Song Fei nodded and bowed as he spoke to Qin Feng, ”Fengfeng, just as long as you don’t ignore me, it’s fine.”

”Hmph!” Qin Feng snorted coldly.

She had no intention of marrying Song Fei, but after getting drunk while drinking with him and Song Yueqin, she had let things go too far. Now she was pregnant and did not want to marry Song Fei.

She couldn’t let her family find out about her being pregnant, lest her mother, who had been nearly blind with tears lately over her brother’s affairs, would die of rage.

If her mother learned of her predicament, there would only be two responses. First, force her to marry Song Fei! Second, kill her with a knife.

She wanted to see neither.

So, she had no choice but to drag Song Fei to the city for the surgery. The town clinic was too small, and people from miles around went there.

If someone found out, it was only a matter of time before the gossip would reach her mother’s ears.

Although she admitted to a moment of weakness, she was definitely not stupid.

Her pregnancy wasn’t far along, and the doctor had said the surgery would be less painful, relatively speaking. She had considered a medical abortion, but after seeing someone in the hospital undergo one, bleeding profusely, she was terrified out of her wits.

She absolutely didn’t dare.

The surgery was scheduled for the afternoon, so she took the opportunity to have a hearty meal at noon.

This Song Fei was blind indeed. Although he wasn’t attractive, he made good money. There were girls in the village who had their relatives approach his family with marriage proposals.

But no, his eyes were covered with shit, and he had to fixate on Qin Feng.
