Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 368: Chapter 368: I Just Want An Hao to Be Alone

Seeing that he was already thirty years old, that age really isn’t young anymore.

”Mom, did you forget about An Hao? We’re already engaged, and there’s only the wedding left,” Qin Jian said.

Zhang Yun slapped her forehead: ”Oh my, look at my memory, I was so scared I almost passed out, I even forgot that! How did you and An Hao get engaged?”

Outside the hospital room, An Hao stood at the door, panting with a bag of fruit in hand.

That afternoon, she was at home with An Ping, discussing how to plant in the greenhouse, and what should be the first crop, when she heard someone say that someone from Qin Jian’s house was carried out, and nearly died.

She immediately stopped discussing with An Ping and hurriedly ran to the Qin Family to ask.

Qin Ru Hai told her that Ning Yibin’s heart condition had acted up, and he had been taken to the hospital in the city.

She knew that this matter must have reached a conclusion; the Ning couple probably had found an answer, so, in their urgency, Ning Yibin had a heart attack.

Thinking that she might not see Qin Jian for a long while after returning to school, and also worried about the Commander’s condition, she bought a ticket back to the city that afternoon and took the bus back.

There were only a few hospitals in the city, and she searched each one thoroughly.

After arriving, she asked a nurse at the nurse station and learned that Commander Ning was staying in this room.

She had just reached the door when she heard people inside mentioning her name.

”Yes, we’re already engaged, I am planning to submit a report to get married as soon as she turns twenty!” Qin Jian’s voice came through.

”You still have to wait a year or two? Wouldn’t your age be quite large by then?” Zhang Yun followed up with her own anxiety, and so she asked Ning Yibin, ”Aren’t you a Commander? Can’t you figure out a way to let them marry earlier?”

Ning Yibin understood his wife’s anxiety, but regarding her proposal, he said it was not feasible: ”I am a Commander, that’s true! But even a Commander has to abide by the country’s laws and regulations, right? Not to mention a Commander, even the President has to follow the law! The law is our country’s fundamental principle!”

”Alright, alright!” Seeing Ning Yibin disagree and was about to lecture her, Zhang Yun quickly said, ”If it’s not possible, then it’s not possible. Let’s just drop the subject.”

”That’s right, it’s just two more years! Qin Jian has waited thirty years; what’s two more?” Ning Yibin said.

When it comes to marriage and having children, men are often more open-minded than women.

Zhang Yun also got anxious, envying others who had grandchildren around their knees. They had lost their only son in the past and could only envyingly watch others, but now that they had found their biological son, her once still heart was lively again.

”Qin Jian, I see that An Hao is quite young, only eighteen or nineteen years old. Students, especially those from Military Medical University, face many uncertainties in the future. For the first couple of years after graduation, they have to be sent to the grassroots level for experience. You might face periods of separation again. Look, I know a few young girls, all of the right age, should I introduce you to...”

Zhang Yun hadn’t finished speaking when Qin Jian interrupted her: ”I only want An Hao!”

Qin Jian spoke decisively, without a hint of hesitation or room for turning back.

That was his stance!
