Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1646 - 1647: Offering Advice

Poor in a busy market, no one asks; rich in the deep mountains, distant relatives appear. Cheng Su understands this, every family has a few poor relatives, every family has a few irritating ones. As long as one lives in the world, one cannot escape this. It all depends on how one handles and perceives it.

Little Yu’s trouble is actually quite simple, it’s nothing other than money.

The bun shop’s business is getting better and better, they can even open a branch. How could the two sisters-in-law not see it? Seeing the widowed sister-in-law’s bun shop booming, they wanted to grab some benefits. Moreover, they wanted the sister-in-law to give them the recipe so they could start another one at home.

Of course, Little Yu was not willing. She perfected the recipe step by step through her own research, waking up early and staying up late, only then seeing results. Can it be taken just because you say so?

Back then, when I reached out to you, why didn’t you say anything?

People are selfish, Little Yu is getting old, she was widowed young, now her son is grown, she has to think for her son and for her daughter’s dowry in the future, right?

So, she definitely wouldn’t give out the recipe.

The two sisters-in-law couldn’t get through her, so they went to talk to the elderly parents. The parents are soft-hearted, want fairness in the family, if one family is doing well, they hope the other two will follow. Besides, both sisters are married in different places, giving it wouldn’t matter much, there wouldn’t be any business conflict.

But Little Yu has her own ideas, she’s thinking of what Cheng Su said earlier, to make the bun shop bigger.

”I’m thinking of opening another branch, and when there’s enough money, buy the equipment you mentioned and slowly package and sell, creating a range of frozen products,” said Little Yu. ”If they want it, once the recipe is out, what’s left to do?”

Cheng Su thought for a bit then asked, ”So what do your parents-in-law say?”

Little Yu said, ”What else? They definitely want me to give it, but if I don’t give it, there’s nothing they can do. If they try to force me, they wouldn’t have the face for it. I’ve stayed with them for so many years, without wronging Old Zheng’s family at all. If it really erupts, they will be the ones embarrassed. So seeing my unwillingness, they didn’t say much. They are somewhat unhappy, but what difference does it make? Back then, they didn’t really help me either!”

Cheng Su said, ”As long as you can stand your ground.”

”I can stand my ground. I’ve seen it clearly and thought it through. Face is earned by oneself. Not giving it won’t leave room for criticism; giving it is being gracious. But you know, sometimes some people won’t appreciate your kindness!”

Cheng Su nodded, pursed her lips, thought for a moment, then said, ”Actually, if you want to shut them up, you can give it to them.”

Little Yu was startled, give it out?

Cheng Su smiled and said, ”But it’s not for free, it’s franchising. Still use the current Auspicious Bun Shop name and its recipe, but they must pay you a certain franchise fee, and the price remains the same...”

She thought of franchising chain stores; doing it herself, the brand would take time to establish. But as a chain, the brand would open up faster. You know, seeing a bun shop in one place is not as influential as seeing it in many places, the reputation wouldn’t match that of a franchise.

Listening to Cheng Su’s idea, Little Yu’s eyes gradually brightened, the irritation on her brows diminished, she said, ”In your opinion, how much should the franchise fee be?”

She is not one to stick to conventions, if Cheng Su suggested it, it must be good. According to her suggestion, it could indeed earn more money, sign a contract, the source remains with her, and can continue to expand the business.
