Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1634 - 1635: Rascal

Cheng Su took Qi Xiaoqi to visit Old Master Cheng again, and coincidentally Cheng Yaozong and his wife were there too. Xiao Qi was very well-behaved and loved to smile. The eldest sister-in-law held him and wouldn’t let go, and even the second sister-in-law was quite fond of him, so they took him off to play, leaving Cheng Su to discuss the shop with Old Master Cheng and Cheng Yaozong.

”...Selling dried seafood? Why did you suddenly think of doing that?” Cheng Yaozong felt it was a bit strange.

Cheng Su laughed, ”Yesterday, I went to see the shop location and wandered around for most of the day. The location there is good, and no one is doing this. I figured, now if I rent out the shop, I can’t collect much rent. I’d better do something myself, so that’s why I thought of this!”

Cheng Yaozong and Old Master Cheng exchanged glances and said, ”On that street, there are quite a few people doing clothes, right? Seafood seems rather unique!”

”People are doing all sorts of things. I’m doing seafood, and it’s the only one, so there’s less competition!” Cheng Su said, ”Maybe once I start, others will gradually follow suit!”

That’s true, people like to follow trends.

”Nowadays, those of us selling seafood usually go to well-known restaurants to purchase; the goods are genuine, and quality is guaranteed.” Cheng Yaozong said, ”If you open one, this...”

”Second brother means to say I can’t compete with those established brands?” Cheng Su smiled.

Cheng Yaozong said nothing but his expression showed that was exactly the case.

”Second brother, dried seafood has always existed. Poor families can’t afford it, let alone hope to buy from big restaurants. But now, as life gets better, people’s purchasing power will gradually increase. Since I’m just starting out, I’m not aiming for top-end high-end products but rather doing business for the common people, which should be better than just collecting rent!” Cheng Su said calmly, ”Of course, it’s not only about selling inferior goods. I’ll sell both top-quality and premium goods, but we also have goods at common people’s prices. Customers can choose as they like.”

”So you have thought it through?” Old Master Cheng asked.

Cheng Su nodded, ”I didn’t sleep well last night, pondering for most of the night, and now I have a bit of a plan.”

”No wonder your eyelids are dark.” Old Master Cheng pointed at her dark circles and said reproachfully, ”When can’t you do business? Don’t delay your rest, losing sleep and forgetting to eat. You’re young but ruining your health. Look at your second brother; he’s taking those health supplements every day. I think you’re planning to follow in his footsteps...”

The siblings were both scolded a bit, feeling awkward. Cheng Yaozong coughed lightly with his fist against his lips, while Cheng Su sat directly beside Old Master Cheng, hugged his arm, and acted cute, saying, ”Isn’t it just that I got excited thinking about this big business opportunity? After all, it’s the shop you gave to our Xiao Qi; it’s a shame to leave it empty. I need to do something to expand and grow it to fulfill your intentions, right?”

Old Master Cheng was coaxed into feeling pleased but still purposely kept a stern face, ”But it’s not to let you not sleep to think about it!”

”That was my mistake. I won’t dare next time!” Cheng Su said pitifully, with her claws drawn back.

Old Master Cheng laughed in annoyance and said, ”You... Selling seafood is also good; whether it’s for eating or selling, you also have a restaurant, so you won’t worry about the sales. It’s just that our family has never done this business, old second, you...”

”I’ll check my connections to see who is in this business and help my little sister connect,” Cheng Yaozong understood and responded.

Old Master Cheng was very satisfied and nodded, ”These are all small businesses; in my opinion, it’s better to follow your second brother in real estate and land speculation...”

Cheng Su said, ”I think about opening a Seafood Shop; it’s also convenient for honoring you and honoring brother and sister-in-laws. Real estate can wait for the future.”

Old Master Cheng was helpless against her cheeky manner but enjoyed it greatly, and Cheng Yaozong thought it’s true that girls are more favored; Old Master Cheng really falls for that.
